Derry, New Hampshire - John O'Hara brings more than twenty years of business development and engineering experience to Cedar Point Communications.
O'Hara's primary focus most recently has been in working with service providers worldwide as they build and manage their infrastructure networks. O'Hara was responsible for strategic product direction and technology planning support at sentitO. He was also co-founder and led engineering for WaveSmith (acquired by Ciena), a maker of core infrastructure technology for service providers. Prior to Wave Smith, O'Hara founded New Oak Communications (acquired by Bay Networks/Nortel Networks), a pioneer developer of high-capacity remote access virtual private networking devices. O'Hara also served as VP, Engineering at Colubris Networks, a WLAN public access equipment company, and has held senior engineering positions at FTP Software, DEC, and Wang Labs. O'Hara graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he concentrated in Computer Science and Mathematical Economics.
