Intel Appoints Workday CEO to Board 

Intel appointed Aneel Bhusri, 48, co-founder and CEO of Workday, to serve on the company's board. Bhusri co-founded Workday in 2005 and served as its co-CEO from 2009 and chairman from 2012 until May of this year, when he was named sole CEO. In addition, Bhusri serves as a partner at Greylock Partners, a venture capital firm. Previously, he held a number of leadership positions at PeopleSoft, including SVP responsible for product strategy, business development and marketing, and vice chairman of the board. 

RBS's ex-boss in US, Ellen Alemany, Joins FIS’ Board

Fidelity National Information Services appoints Ellen Alemany, 58, to its board. A former head of RBS Americas, and Chair and CEO of RBS' Citizens Financial Group, Alemany has more than 35 years of experience in the financial industry. In 2007, Alemany joined as Head of RBS Americas, and Chair and CEO of RBS' Citizens Financial Group, and served as a consultant to the company until her retirement in 2013. Beginning as Area Head of Citibank's NY Leveraged Capital Group, she grew to CEO of Global Transaction Services at the firm and spent five years on the board of Citigroup North America. Alemany began her career in Operations at Chase Manhattan before being recruited to Citibank in 1987. She has served on the boards of ADP since 2011 and CIT Group since early 2014.

NIKE names Gilt CEO to Board

NIKE appointed Michelle A. Peluso, 42, to serve as a Director. Peluso is CEO of Gilt, an innovative online shopping destination offering its members special access to the most inspiring merchandise and experiences every day at insider prices. Prior to joining Gilt, she served as Global Consumer Chief Marketing and Internet Officer of Citigroup and held senior management positions at Travelocity.com, being appointed COO and then as President and CEO. She founded Site59, an online travel site, serving as its CEO until its acquisition by Travelocity in 2002.

Qualcomm Taps Unilever COO as New Board Member 

Qualcomm appointed Harish Manwani, the current COO at Unilver Plc, as a new board member. In 2005, he joined the Unilever Executive team as President, Asia Africa. Before that, he was president and CEO of the HPC North America business group; President, Home and Personal Care, Latin America business group; moved to the UK as SVP, Global Hair Care and Oral Care. He joined Hindustan Lever (HLL) in 1976. He is also non-executive chairman of Hindustan Lever and sits on the boards of Indian School of Business, Whirlpool and Pearson.

Accenture Appoints Ahold USA’s CFO Paula A. Price as New Board Member 

Accenture appointed Paula A. Price, 52, to the company's Board. She was EVP and CFO of Ahold USA, a U.S. grocery retailer, until January 2014. Before joining Ahold in 2009, she was the controller and chief accounting officer at CVS Caremark. Earlier in her career, she was CFO for the Institutional Trust Services division of JPMorgan Chase. 

National Oilwell Varco Appoints Energy Industry Leader as New Director 

National Oilwell Varco, the provider of equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations, appointed Marcela E. Donadio to board. Donadio was Americas Oil & Gas Sector Leader of Ernst & Young, from which she retired in March 2014. Donadio joined Ernst & Young in 1976, serving since 1989 as audit partner for multiple companies in the oil and gas industry. She held various energy industry leadership positions until being named Americas Oil & Gas Sector Leader in 2007. 

Flextronics Appoints Board Member with Technology Industry Experience Spanning Hardware, Software, Network and Communications 

Electronics design, fabrication, assembly, and test company Flextronics appointed Michael D. Capellas, 58, prominent industry executive, to the company's board. Capellas currently serves as Principal of Capellas Partners, a strategic advisory firm focusing on technology-driven companies. He was previously CEO and Chairman of VCE Company, a joint venture between EMC and Cisco with investments from VMware and Intel. He was Chairman and CEO of First Data and MCI and Compaq. Post Compaq merger, he served as President of HP. Prior to Compaq and HP, he held a variety of executive positions in multiple industries.

Seagate Chair & CEO Resigns from Microsoft Board

Stephen J. Luczo, 57, Chairman and CEO of Seagate resigned from Microsoft Board. Luczo joined Microsoft’s board in May 2012. Prior to his current role, Luczo served at Seagate as President and Chief Operating Officer, and SVP of Corporate Development. Prior to joining Seagate in 1993, he was Senior MD of the Global Technology Group of Bear, Stearns & Co., an investment banking firm.
