In order to evaluate the incumbent CTO, Vell used the following scorecard for the endpoint security company. The scorecard directly corresponds to his key responsibilities around six areas. This scorecard can provide substantial feedback and a valuable ground for discussion with the candidates.

He/she will have the ability to visualize future products, and ensure that leading-edge solutions are available to customers, ahead of the competition.  

 

Proven ability to understand the potential in a broad range of technologies and apply them to capitalize on market trends and evolving customer demands. 

 

 

Domain/Industry Experience: Security Software / Mobile/ SaaS Infrastructure / BI

Criteria

Candidate Experience 

Experience with a security software, mobile software, and SaaS infrastructure. A business intelligence orientation within these domains is highly preferred.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
