Here are the Tech CEO appointments in the month of June in the Midwest and South Central regions of the United States

South Central

  • Internet Marketing, Texas - Internet Marketing named Jason Brigham as CEO. He started at IMI in 2015 as the agency’s VP of Marketing and Sales Operations. Internet Marketing, Inc. does not have significant operations. Previously, the company owned and operated e-commerce businesses. It intends to acquire or merge with other operating businesses.
  • Ziften Technologies, Texas - Ziften appointed Mike Hamilton as their new CEO. Hamilton has been part of the Ziften team for 3 years as the company's Chief Product Officer. The Company develops software for desktop administration in enterprises worldwide.

Midwest

  • Workiva, Iowa - Workiva named President Martin Vanderploeg as President, CEO & Director. Vanderploeg has previously served as Workiva’s President and COO.  The Company provides cloud solutions for the finance and accounting, audit and internal controls, risk and compliance, and performance and management reporting markets
  • Intelligent Medical Objects, Illinois - Ann Barnes, a seasoned technology and healthcare executive and former President and CEO of MedData, will assume the role of CEO of IMO.  The Company develops, manages, and licenses medical terminology and healthcare IT software applications that allow clinicians to capture their clinical intent at the point-of-care.
  • Astute; Wilke Global, Ohio - Astute Solutions has acquired Wilke Global. Astute Solutions COO Ray Carey will be promoted to CEO of the joint company. The Company provides customer experience and social relationship management software and solutions for various brands worldwide.
  • MyAlerts, Minnesota - Think3 has acquired MyAlerts. Andy Tryba, Think3 founder, with more than 20 years of experience managing global companies for growth and profitability, is the new CEO of MyAlerts. The Company develops an alerting platform to track and monitor user's favourite Websites.
  • Outcome Health, Illinois - Outcome Health has appointed Matt McNally as its CEO. Currently, McNally serves at Digitas Health LifeBrands/Publicis Health as a President and chief media officer.  The Company provides health intelligence technology solutions.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

Vell holds seven worldwide software patents. She has published several Business of Leadership reports on governance and leadership and has been quoted in numerous articles including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, Fortune, Agenda Week, MSNBC, Mass High Tech, the OPUS for the World Economic Forum, Boston Business Journal, The Globe & Mail, CIO Magazine, and IEEE. Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults, garage.ca, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
