ValueAct Capital’s Partner To Depart from Motorola Solutions’ Board
Motorola Solutions announced that Bradley E. Singer will not stand for re-election to board. Bradley E. Singer, 49, has served as Partner at ValueAct Capital since May 2012. Prior to joining ValueAct Capital Master Fund, Singer was the Senior EVP and CFO of Discovery Communications.
F5 Networks Announces Additions to its Sales Leadership Team
F5 Networks hired Peter Brant as SVP of North America Sales, and David Helfer as VP of Worldwide Channels. Brant brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and security sales to his role at F5, along with an extensive background in developing strategic channel and partnership programs. Most recently, he served as head of Americas sales at Fortinet.
Helfer brings extensive experience in global channels and sales operations to F5. He joins F5 from the cybersecurity company, Lookout, where he served as VP of Worldwide Channels and managed direct sales for the Asia Pacific region.
ARRIS’ Corporate Strategy and Administration EVP to Retire
ARRIS International plc announced that Lawrence A. Margolis, EVP, Corporate Strategy and Administration, intends to retire. Margolis has been with ARRIS and its predecessors, Anixter and ANTEC for more than 32 years. His distinguished career in the industry began in 1984 with Anixter, where he held a number of executive positions, including VP, General Counsel and Secretary.
Following his retirement in April, the corporate strategy and investor relation functions will report to David. B. Potts, EVP and CFO.
Ciena Appoints New EMEA Leader
Ciena has appointed Keri Gilder as its new VP and GM for EMEA region. Gilder has held a number of posts since joining Ciena in 2002, most recently serving as VP of global account sales for the EMEA region. In her new role she will be tasked with guiding Ciena's customers and partners in EMEA as they adapt to accommodate high-bandwidth applications and services, such as those needed for data centre interconnect (DCI), cloud-based services and video.
RingCentral Appoints Zane Long as Vice President of Channel Sales
Cloud-based phone systems company RingCentral appointed Zane Long as VP of Channel Sales to further develop the channel program and extend RingCentral’s services globally. Long brings more than 13 years of channel success to the RingCentral team, having previously served as VP of Vonage’s Global Strategic Partner Group and Cbeyond’s National VP of Channel Sales.
