Priceline Group Appoints Salesforce’s CMO as Board Member

The Priceline Group named Lynn M. Vojvodich, EVP and Chief Marketing officer of, as The Priceline Group's newest Director. Prior to her role at, Vojvodich served as a partner at Andreessen Horowitz where she helped companies build their go-to-market strategies.

Adobe Announces Board Changes

Kelly Barlow, Michael Cannon and Robert Sedgewick informed Adobe Systems Incorporated of their decisions not to stand for re-election to Adobe's Board of Directors at the company's 2016 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Messrs. Barlow, Cannon and Sedgewick will continue to serve as directors until the Annual Meeting. Adobe's board also reduced its size to ten members, effective upon the commencement of the Annual Meeting.

ADP Appoints PayPal SVP to Board

Automatic Data Processing appointed William J. Ready as a new director of the company. Ready is SVP, Global Head of Product and Engineering at PayPal and also serves as the CEO of Braintree.

Charles Schwab Resigns From Yahoo! Board

Charles Schwab notified Yahoo! that he was resigning from Yahoo’s Board, due to his other professional commitments and demands on his time. In connection with Schwab’s resignation from the Board, the Board appointed Maynard G. Webb, Jr., a current director of the Company, to the Audit Committee of the Board.

Maggie Wilderotter Joins Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Board of Directors

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced that Maggie Wilderotter, Executive Chairman of Frontier Communications, has been appointed as a member of Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Board. Prior to being appointed Executive Chairman of Frontier Communications in 2015, Maggie was Chairman and CEO beginning in 2006, after joining the company in 2004. In addition to Frontier Communications, she currently serves on the boards of DreamWorks Animation, Juno Therapeutics, and Costco.

Former PeopleSoft CMO Joins Equinix’s Board

Equinix has appointed Nanci Caldwell to its Board of Directors. Caldwell also currently sits on the Boards of CIBC and Citrix Systems. Caldwell is the former EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of PeopleSoft.

Expedia Expands Board; Appoints Liberty Nominee and Two Others as Newest Board Members

Online travel company Expedia expanded the size of the Board from ten to thirteen members and elected Susan C. Athey, Christopher W. Shean and Alexander von Furstenberg to fill the newly-created directorships. None of the new directors has been appointed to serve as a member of any committee of the Board of Directors. As a result of the increased size of the Board, Liberty Interactive Corporation has the right to nominate three directors. Liberty has designated Shean as a Liberty nominee (along with currently serving Liberty nominees Pamela L. Coe and John C. Malone).

Dr. Athey has served as a professor at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business since 2013, where she is also the co-director of the Digital Business Initiative.

Shean has served as a SVP of Liberty Media Corporation (including its predecessor) since May 2007, the CFO since November 2011 and the Controller from May 2007 to October 2011.

Alexander von Furstenberg currently serves as Chief Investment Officer of Ranger Global Advisors, a family office focused on value-based investing, which he founded in June 2011.      

Symantec Appoints Managing Partner of Silver Lake to Board

Symantec announced in conjunction with Silver Lake’s investment, Kenneth Y. “Ken” Hao, 46, managing partner of Silver Lake, will be appointed to Board of Directors. With his appointment, the Symantec Board will be comprised of ten directors, nine of whom are independent. Hao joined the Silver Lake in 2000. He led the establishment of Silver Lake's offices in China and Japan from 2007 to 2008. Mr. Hao has spent his career as an Advisor in technology companies. Previously, he served as the Managing Director at Hambrecht & Quist Group(Chase H&Q).

Citrix Gets New CEO/Director; Appoints Board Chairman for Future Spin-off of the GoTo Products

Kirill Tatarinov, 51, has been appointed President, CEO and director. Interim President and CEO Robert Calderoni, 55, continues his role as Executive Chairman on the Citrix Board of Directors, focused on driving execution of the strategic plan for operational excellence, capital structure and portfolio simplification.

With 30 years of industry experience, Tatarinov has a long and successful track record overseeing product strategy and commercial operations in software and services. His background includes leadership positions at Microsoft for 13 years, including most recently serving as EVP of the Microsoft Business Solutions Division. Prior to Microsoft, Tatarinov was CTO at BMC.

Citrix elected Kevin Parker, co-founder and senior operating principal at Bridge Growth Partners, as the Chairman of the Board for the soon-to-be formed company comprised of the Citrix ‘GoTo’ product line, effective upon separation in late 2016. Parker also serves on the boards of Cvent, Salient CRGT, Intermedia, Aptos Retail and Polycom. Prior to his current roles, Parker spent more than 20 years as a top executive in software and services companies. He was President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Deltek.

Founding Board Member William L. Chenevich Retires from VeriSign Board          

VeriSign’s Director William L. Chenevich, 72, will retire from the Board at the end of his current term in May 2016. Chenevich has served as a director since Verisign’s founding in April 1995, and was Lead Independent Director from February 2009 to July 2015. Chenevich served as Vice Chairman of Technology & Operations Services at US Bancorp, an affiliate of U.S. BanCorp. Equipment Finance from 2001 to 2010. He served as Vice Chairman of Technology and Operations Services of Firstar Corporation from 1999 to February 2001. Chenevich served as Group EVP of VISA International from 1994 to 1999.

PTC Appoints Marketo CEO to its Board

PTC appointed Phil Fernandez to its Board of Directors. Fernandez is CEO and Chairman of the Board of Marketo. In this role, he sets the vision for the company and drives operational excellence and Marketo's commitment to its core values.

Brocade Appoints Former AmEx Exec as Director

Brocade Communications Systems elected Kim C. Goodman, 50, the former President of American Express Global Business Travel of American Express Company, as a director. Goodman served as President of Merchant Services Americas and EVP of Merchant Services North America,  at American Express earlier. She served in the industry sector at Dell where she held several operating roles from 2000 to 2007 as Head of Software and Peripherals Business. She served in consulting at Bain & Company from 1987 to 2000.

Retired CSC President to Retire from Teradata’s Board

Edward P. (Pete) Boykin, 76, a director of Teradata, notified that he will retire from the board of directors and will not be standing for reelection. Boykin was President and COO at CSC from July 2001 to June 2003, joining the company in 1966.        

FICO Announces Board Changes 

FICO announced that director Braden R. Kelly will succeed A. George (Skip) Battle as chairman of the board. Kelly has served as a director since February 12, 2013. Kelly is an Investment Partner at Health Evolution Partners since July 9, 2013. He served as a Senior Advisor at the firm. Battle, who will continue to serve on the board, was elected chairman in 2002. The company also announced that Duane E. White has retired from the board, after serving since February 2009.

Match Group Elects Its Former CEO to the Board of Directors           

Match Group elected Sam Yagan was elected to the board of directors. Since January 1, 2016, Yagan has served as an advisor to the Company and its subsidiaries in connection with a variety of issues and matters. Prior to becoming an advisor, Yagan served as CEO of the Company from December 2013 through December 2015 and as CEO of from September 2012 to November 2013.

FireEye Appoints President as Board Member; Announces New Lead Director

The Board of Directors of FireEye appointed Kevin R. Mandia, 45, to serve as a member of the Board. Mandia has served as FireEye's President since February 2015. He previously served as FireEye's SVP and COO from the date of FireEye's acquisition of Mandiant in December 2013 through February 2015. On February 9, 2016, the Board appointed Enrique Salem, an independent director of FireEye, to serve as the Lead Independent Director of the Board. 

Infinera Sees Board Changes

Infinera, which provides optical transport networking equipment, software and services to Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecommunications service providers, appointed John Daane to its board. Daane served as the president, CEO and board member of Altera, a semiconductor company focused on programmable networking chips, from November 2000 through Altera's acquisition by Intel in December 2015. Prior to joining Altera, he spent 15 years at LSI Logic, most recently as EVP of the Communications Products Divisions.

James Dolce has resigned from the board of directors of Infinera. This resignation avoids potential conflicts of interest for Dolce, also a member of Juniper Networks' Board of Directors, following the announcement that Juniper has acquired BTI Systems.

GrubHub Appoints President of DEFY Media to Board

Grubhub appointed Keith Richman, 42, as director. Richman is President of DEFY Media, a digital media company. He co-founded Break Media in 2004 and as the CEO was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the business, building it into a 160 person, profitable digital media company. He led the company through its merger with Alloy Digital in 2013.

Demandware Appoints Salesforce EVP as Director

Demandware appointed Linda Crawford to the company’s Board of Directors. As the former EVP and General Manager of the Salesforce Sales Cloud products, Crawford brings broad expertise in operations, enterprise sales and product leadership to the board. Crawford currently serves as the chief customer officer at Optimizely.

Additionally, Lawrence Bohn, 64, has retired from his position on the Demandware Board of Directors. Bohn has served on the Board since 2004, helping to advise Demandware from the company’s beginning through its more recent IPO and ascension to a leading market position.

Zendesk Appoints Carl Bass to the Board of Directors

Zendesk announced that Carl Bass, 58, President and CEO of Autodesk, was appointed to the Zendesk Board. Bass brings to the board his deep experience in building and leading a multi-product company with billions in revenue that serves both enterprises and small organizations. Bass has held several executive positions, including CTO and chief operations officer, during his time at Autodesk.         

ADTRAN Appoints Former Verizon CTO as Director

ADTRAN, a global provider of networking and communications equipment, has appointed Anthony J. (Tony) Melone as a director. Melone has 32 years of Telecommunications experience, including operations and engineering positions of increasing responsibility. He served as EVP of Verizon Communications since 2010 and served as its CTO from 2010 to 2014 where he was responsible for Verizon Communications’ Global Technology Roadmap.  Separates Chair-CEO Roles; Appoints New Lead Director announced its decision to separate the positions of Chairman and CEO, currently both held by Avishai Abrahami, in order to enable the CEO to fully devote his time, skills and expertise to the continued growth of the company.

Mark Tluszcz has been appointed the Non-Executive Chairman of the board of directors of the company. Avishai Abrahami was appointed as Honorary Chairman in recognition of his importance for the creation and development of the company. In addition, Ron Gutler replaced Mark Tluszcz as the company's new Lead Independent Director.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
