Anadarko Petroleum elected Dr. Sean Gourley, 36, to serve as an independent director of the company. Dr. Gourley is the founder and CEO of Primer, an early-stage, venture-backed company building software to power artificial intelligence applications. Prior to founding Primer, he was the founder and CTO of Quid, an augmented intelligence company building software for strategic decision-making. The industry and company will increasingly use big data and artificial intelligence to improve exploration, development and production success.
Best Buy Appoints CFO of Cognizant as Director
Best Buy named Karen McLoughlin, 50, to its Board of Directors. McLoughlin is the CFO at Cognizant Technology Solutions. McLoughlin joined Cognizant in 2003 and has spearheaded several critical transformation initiatives during her time with the company. Prior to joining Cognizant, McLoughlin spent six years at Spherion and three years at Ryder System, where she held key financial management positions. Prior to joining Ryder, she spent six years in the South Florida practice of Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).

UGI Corporation announced that James B. Stallings, Jr., 60, was elected a director. Stallings currently serves as Managing Partner of PS27 Ventures, a private investment fund focused on technology companies. Prior to his work at PS27 Ventures, Stallings spent over 25 years at IBM leading major lines of business, including the company’s technology, mainframe, software, and intellectual property areas. In addition, Stallings was founder, Chairman and CEO of E House, a consumer technology company, and EVP of Physician Sales & Services, a medical products supplier.
Former Yahoo! CFO Joins Board of Vail Resorts
Vail Resorts appointed Susan Decker to the Company's Board of Directors. Decker, who served as both president and CFO at Yahoo!, currently serves on several boards of directors, including Berkshire Hathaway; Intel and Costco Wholesale. Decker was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Harvard Business School (HBS), served in several positions for Yahoo! most recently served as president, and was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) in New York City. Most recently, she served as global director of equity research at DLJ.
Umpqua Appoints Former Google and Yahoo! Exec to Board
Umpqua Holdings Corporation the parent company of Umpqua Bank, appointed Luanne Calvert, CMO of Virgin America, to its board of directors. Before joining Virgin, Calvert served as creative director at Google, where she managed the brand globally and developed innovative campaigns to bring Google products directly to consumer and business audiences. Calvert also served as a Director of Marketing at Yahoo!, Inc. where she founded Yahoo!'s buzz marketing team before the term “viral marketing” existed, and served as VP of Marketing at Joe Boxer Apparel.
Former BT CEO Joins Board of Belmond
Hotel and leisure company Belmond appointed Ian Livingston, Lord Livingston of Parkhead, to the Company’s board of directors. Livingston is a member of the U.K. House of Lords after being made a life peer in 2013 and serving in the U.K. Government as Minister of State for Trade and Investment from December 2013 to May 2015. Prior to this appointment, he was the Group CEO at BT Group, one of the world’s leading communications companies.
Boston Private Appoints Intel CIO as Board Member

Abutaleb joined mindSHIFT in 2006 and utilized her unique blend of skills and expertise in operations, engineering, IT and customer service to drive mindSHIFT's rapid growth. She was named CEO in 2014, and she led the company in its acquisition by Ricoh Americas Holdings. Today, mindSHIFT is one of the largest IT outsourcing and cloud services providers, serving small and mid-size businesses.
