Splunk Hires GE Capital Divisional CIO and Technology Innovator as CTO

Splunk has appointed Snehal Antani as CTO to work across Splunk’s rapidly expanding cloud, mobile, on-premises and hybrid offerings. Antani previously served as CIO for multiple divisions of GE Capital. Prior to GE Capital, Antani served in numerous IT strategy and technology roles at IBM, including Emerging Technologies Lead Architect and Private Cloud Strategist. He is a named inventor on 10 U.S. patents.

QLogic Appoints Yahoo! Cloud Leader to Board

QLogic, a leading supplier of high performance network infrastructure solutions, named Jay A. Rossiter to its board of directors. Rossiter currently serves as SVP of the Cloud Platform Group at Yahoo! Prior to that, he was the VP of the System Management Products Division at Oracle and held various senior management positions at 3Com, Syntelligence and Bell Labs. Rossiter also sits on the board of Hortonworks.

Former Akamai COO Joins Internap as CEO

High performance Internet infrastructure provider Internap appointed Michael A. Ruffolo, 53, as president and CEO. Most recently, Ruffolo has served on Internap's board since 2010 and as executive chairman of Edgeware, a video delivery network provider. From 2010 to 2012, he was president and CEO of Crossbeam Systems, a network security platform provider. Prior, Ruffolo was chairman and CEO of Liquid Machines, EVP and COO at Akamai Technologies, EVP of global sales, services and marketing at EMC and VP and CIO at the NCR.

Ruffolo succeeds Eric Cooney, who resigned after serving as president, CEO and director of Internap since 2009.

Allscripts, PatientPoint and TCA Execs Joins Recondo’s Leadership Team

Eldon Richards joins Recondo, the leading provider of cloud-based revenue cycle connectivity and applications, as CTO from PatientPoint, a leader in patient engagement solutions, where he led product development and technology teams across the enterprise as EVP of Product and Technology.  Previously, Richards led the technology team for the Care Coordination Solutions business at PatientPoint, and various organizations at Unitedhealth Group.

Perry Sweet joins Recondo as Chief Client Officer from Allscripts, where he was VP of Services, Support, and Account Management for the company's Population Health and Community Solutions. Perry brings to Recondo decades of experience leading healthcare technology BUs at Eclipsys (now Allscripts), First Consulting Group and IBM.

Kathleen Brenk has joined the company as its CHRO, a new role. Brenk joins Recondo from Trust Company of America (TCA), a 43-year-old firm providing registered investment advisors with fully integrated real-time technology, consultative services and back office support. Brenk served as TCA's VP of people and culture. Previously, Brenk served as senior HR manager of Business HR at Baxa, a medical device company. Kathleen has also held HR positions at EchoStar/DISH Network, The Home Depot, and High Speed Access Corp.

CareCloud Gets Silicon Valley Leader as New CEO as it Strengthens Ops with New Funding

CareCloud, a provider of cloud-based practice management, EHR and medical billing software services, has named Ken Comée as CEO of the firm. Comée would replace Albert Santalo as CEO, but that Santalo would stay with the company as chairman and chief strategy officer.

Comée was formerly the CEO of PowerReviews, the world’s largest social commerce network, which powers customer conversations on over 5,500 websites including Staples, REI and Toys“R”Us. Prior to that, he was CEO of Cast Iron Systems, and held executive positions at CollabNet, a software development pioneer in the cloud, and at product lifecycle leader PTC. He has also held several various high-level management positions at Amdahl/Fujitsu in Europe and the U.S.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

Vell holds seven worldwide software patents. She has published several Business of Leadership reports on governance and leadership and has been quoted in numerous articles including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, Fortune, Agenda Week, MSNBC, Mass High Tech, the OPUS for the World Economic Forum, Boston Business Journal, The Globe & Mail, CIO Magazine, and IEEE. She also has been a featured speaker on leadership at numerous conferences and at Columbia University's MBA program.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults,, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
