Retired CFO of Ahold USA Joins as Director of Western Digital 

Western Digital appoints Paula A. Price, 52, to its board of directors. Price is currently senior lecturer at Harvard Business School in the Accounting and Management Unit. She was EVP and CFO of Ahold USA until January 2014. Price also serves on the boards of Accenture, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Financial Guaranty Insurance Company, and on the board of overseers for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Quest Diagnostics adds Noted National Health IT Expert to Board

Quest Diagnostics, the leading provider of diagnostic information services, elected Vicky Gregg to serve as a director. Gregg served as the CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. Prior to being elected CEO, she served in a number of other leadership roles, including President and COO. Before that, she held a series of senior roles at Humana Health Plans. She was appointed to the U.S. National Institutes of Health Commission on Systemic Interoperability in 2004. A nurse by training, Gregg currently serves on the Boards of Team Health, First Horizon, TriZetto  and the Electric Power Board of Chattanooga.

LogMeIn Names Big Data Expert Marilyn Matz to Board; Former Yahoo! EVP Leaves Board 

LogMeIn has named Marilyn Matz, 60, to the company's board of directors. A big data expert and visionary, Marilyn Matz is CEO and Co-Founder of Paradigm4, the company behind the SciDB computational database management system used to solve large-scale, complex analytical challenges on big and diverse data. She is also a co-chair of the Mass Technology Leadership Council's Big Data cluster. Prior to Paradigm4, she was a co-founder of Cognex and SVP of the company's PC Vision Products Group.

Hilary Schneider, 53, who was a LogMeIn director since 2011 and is the former EVP, Americas of Yahoo!, has resigned from the company's board.

Ellie Mae Adds CIO Advisory Group CEO as Director

Ellie Mae appointed Marina Levinson to its Board of Directors. Levinson is currently the founder and CEO of CIO Advisory Group, which provides technology advice to CEOs, PE firms, VCs and start-ups. Levinson is also a partner in an early-stage VC firm, Benhamou Global Ventures. Her expertise includes cloud computing, SaaS, mobile and data analytics. Prior to founding CIO Advisory Group, she held global CIO roles with NetApp, and Palm. Levinson began working with Ellie Mae in 2012 as the chair of the Ellie Mae Technology Advisory Board.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults, garage.ca, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
