Google faced the surprise departure of its veteran Chief Business Officer and SVP Nikesh Arora, who will become Vice Chairman of SoftBank Corp. He will be replaced for now by Google's 12th employee and early sales executive Omid Kordestani. Prior to joining Google, Arora was CMO and a member of the management board at T-Mobile Europe. In 1999, he started working with Deutsche Telekom and founded T-Motion PLC, a mobile multimedia subsidiary of T-Mobile International. Prior to joining Deutsche Telekom, Nikesh held management positions at Putnam Investments and Fidelity Investments in Boston.
eBay Appoints Former AT&T Chair & CEO to Board; Appoints Former IBM Exec to Lead Enterprise Biz
eBay appoints David W. Dorman, 60, as a new member of the Board. Mr. Dorman, age 60, is a Founding Partner of Centerview Capital Technology. He is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of CVS Caremark. Dorman also serves as a board member of YUM! Brands and Motorola Solutions and is a Trustee for Georgia Tech Foundation. He was chairman and CEO of AT&T from 2002 until the completion of the AT&T and SBC Communications merger in 2005. Dorman joined AT&T as president in 2000. He began his career in the telecommunications industry at Sprint in 1981.
Craig Hayman is now President of its eBay Enterprise business. Hayman is a former executive from IBM where he spent the past 15 years in leadership roles. He led the company's transformation to become a SaaS provider and was the worldwide leader for enterprise SaaS solutions targeted at CMOs, and ecommerce professionals. Hayman led IBM's acquisitions of over a dozen companies including Sterling Commerce and Coremetrics, and built a partner network that included global and regional system integrators.
Twitter Appoints Goldman Sachs Banker Anthony Noto as CFO; Mike Gupta Named SVP for Strategic Investments
Twitter appoints Anthony Noto, 46, the Goldman Sachs exec who helped the company go public last year, as CFO. Noto will replace Mike Gupta, 43, who will become SVP for Strategic Investments, a newly created division taking care of outside investments. Most recently, Noto was a Co-Head of Global Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Investment Banking team at Goldman Sachs. Before that, Noto served in a short stint as CFO of the National Football League. Earlier in his career, he served as an Equity Analyst of Goldman Sachs’ Research Division, was an Associate at Lehman Brothers and a Brand Manager at Kraft Foods.
Gupta has served as Twitter’s CFO since December 2012. Before that, he was the company’s VP of Corporate Finance and Treasurer. Earlier, Gupta served as SVP and Treasurer at Zynga; and SVP of Corporate Development and Finance and Chief Treasury Officer at Yahoo!. Earlier in his career, he was VP in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch and a Senior Auditor and C.P.A. at KPMG.
CDW's CFO Joins as Director of Groupon; General Counsel Changes
Groupon appointed Ann Ziegler as an independent director. Ziegler is SVP and CFO of CDW, a leading provider of technology solutions for business, government, education and healthcare, and a Fortune 500 company. She joined CDW in 2008. Prior to joining CDW, she held a number of executive positions with Sara Lee, including finance, strategy and general management roles in both United States and international businesses.
David R. Schellhase, 50, resigned as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Groupon and will serve as a strategic advisor to the Company. The Company appointed Dane A. Drobny, 46, as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Earlier Drobny served as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Sears Holdings. Previously, he practiced law with the law firm of Winston & Strawn LLP, most recently as Capital Partner.
Zynga Names Google Engineering Exec to Board
Zynga appoints Dr. Regina E. Dugan, 51, VP of Engineering and leader of the Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) group at Google, to the company's Board. Prior to her current role at Google, Dr. Dugan was SVP and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Motorola Mobility. In February 2014, ATAP transitioned to Google's Android, Chrome & Apps product area. Previously, she served as the 19th Director and first female leader of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the principal agency within the U.S. Department of Defense for research, development and demonstration of high-risk, high-payoff capabilities for the future combat force. Dr. Dugan also serves on the Board of Varian Medical Systems.

Shutterfly Appoints CHRO from LSI
Image publishing site Shutterfly has appointed Gautam Srivastava as SVP and CHRO. Additionally, Srivastava will oversee the Shutterfly Foundation. Most recently he was SVP of HR and Marketing for LSI, a designer of semiconductors for datacenter storage and networking. Prior to LSI, Srivastava held numerous roles at Advanced Micro Devices, including VP, sales and marketing and managing director, Middle East Africa and Pakistan; VP, sales and marketing, and chief of staff to the chief sales and marketing officer; and VP, compensation and benefits. Prior to AMD, Srivastava was a principal at Mercer Human Resources Consulting.
Blucora Appoints Leader for its Monoprice e-commerce Business
Internet businesses company Blucora, formerly InfoSpace, named Bernard W. Luthi as President of its Monoprice subsidiary and will oversee the operations of the Monoprice e-commerce business, which sells self-branded consumer electronics and accessories. Luthi joins Monoprice from Buy.com/Rakuten.com, where he served as COO and CMO. Prior to Buy.com, Luthi drove customer engagement and visibility for Newegg.com and previously held positions at PC Mall and Ingram Micro. Luthi will succeed the previous Monoprice President, Ajay Kumar, who has resigned and will pursue other opportunities.

Allan Sabo was appointed to the Board of Domain Media, a growing internet media network of consumer and social media oriented websites. Sabo has over 20 years of direct hands-on experience in pioneering strategies and technology platforms that have changed the landscape of e-marketing, Internet advertising, and e-commerce. He is credited as the co-founder of interactive advertising network, Ad-Network, which was acquired by Petry Interactive, and became the underlying technology platform and business model that became 24/7 Media - one of the largest Internet advertising networks in the world. At 24/7 Media, Sabo was the Director of Affiliate Relations. 24/7 Media completed a successful IPO in 1998, and was subsequently acquired by WPP Group in 2007 for $649 Million.

LivingSocial named eBay long-timer Gautam Thakar as its new president and CEO, succeeding co-founder Tim O'Shaughnessy at the helm of the struggling daily-deals website. O'Shaughnessy has earlier said he would step down once a replacement was found. Thakar, currently GM for eBay's advertising business, spent more than a decade in general management and leadership roles at eBay and was CEO of Shopping.com, an eBay acquisition. Previously, he served as the head of international marketing for eBay and as country manager of eBay India.
