Nike Adds eBay CEO as Board Member 

NIKE appointed John Donahoe, 54, to the Company’s Board. Donahoe is President and CEO of eBay. He joined eBay in 2005 as President of eBay Marketplaces, responsible for eBay’s global e-commerce businesses, and was appointed President and CEO in 2008. He has also served on the eBay board of directors since 2008. Prior to joining eBay, he was the CEO and Worldwide Managing Director of Bain & Company. Donahoe also serves on the Board of Intel and is a Member of the President’s Export Council.

Pitney Bowes’ CEO Joins Board of Campbell Soup Company 

Campbell Soup Company has elected Marc B. Lautenbach, 53, as a member of the Board. Lautenbach is the President and CEO of Pitney Bowes since December 2012. Before joining Pitney Bowes, he spent 27 years in senior leadership roles at IBM, most recently as the Managing Partner for Global Business Services in North America. He serves as a trustee of Denison University, a member of the President's Advisory Board at Elon University and an adviser and member of the Parents' Council at Wake Forest University. Lautenbach is also on the board of Catalyst.

Ulta Beauty’s Board Adds CFO of Motorola Mobility 

Ulta Beauty appointed Vanessa Wittman, 46, SVP and CFO of Motorola Mobility, to its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Motorola Mobility in 2012, Wittman served for four years as EVP and CFO of Marsh & McLennan Companies. She previously held CFO roles at cable television company Adelphia Communications, telecommunications services provider 360networks, and software developer and consulting group Metricom. Wittman is a director of Sirius XM Holdings. She previously served as a director of Infospace, an internet search company.

First Niagara Financial Group Appoints Retired JP Morgan Chase CIO as Director

First Niagara Financial Group appointed Austin A. Adams, 70, to serve as a director. Adams became Corporate CIO and EVP at JP Morgan Chase upon completion of its acquisition of Bank One in 2004, retiring in 2006. In 2001, he joined Bank One as EVP and CIO. In 1985, he joined First Union, where he earned a national reputation as one of the industry's top CIOs. Adams began his financial services career in 1973 at Northwestern Financial Corporation. Since his retirement from JPMorgan Chase, he has served as an independent director for Spectra Energy, Dun & Bradstreet, CommunityOne Bancorp and Commscope.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults,, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
