McKesson’s CFO Leaves for American Express

McKesson’s EVP and CFO Jeffrey C. Campbell, 52, will leave the company to become the CFO of American Express. Campbell has served McKesson as CFO since 2003, playing an instrumental role in extending the company's leadership in healthcare services and IT.  He played a central role at McKesson as it grew and expanded its leadership in health care distribution and technology over the last decade. He served as SVP and CFO of AMR Corp and American Airlines and served in various management positions of American Airlines. He had been with AMR since 1990, holding a variety of positions including VP Europe and VP of Corporate Development and Treasurer. He started his business career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells as a Certified Public Accountant.

Allscripts Adds Two Directors to Board; Names New General Counsel

Allscripts added two new members, Anita Pramoda and Michael Klayko, to board. In addition the company named Brian Farley as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Anita Pramoda was recently the CFO of Epic Systems. Prior to Epic, Pramoda helped commercialize self-healing packaging technology into wholesale, retail, and military sectors at Ontech. Pramoda is the co-founder of TangramCare, a technology-enabled care delivery system that affords extremely sick patients an opportunity to receive care in their homes, recover comfortably, and convalesce with dignity. She is also an executive advisor at Technology Crossover Ventures, a leading VC firm.

Michael Klayko joins Allscripts from Brocade Communications where he served as CEO from 2005 until January 2013. Klayko joined Brocade in 2003 as CEO following the acquisition of Rhapsody Networks, where he was also the CEO the prior two years. Klayko also served in numerous other senior leadership roles throughout his career, including EVP of Sales & Marketing for McData, and SVP of Sales for EMC. Klayko began his career at IBM where he spent a decade of his career performing multiple assignments and management roles.

New SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Farley brings more than 20 years of legal experience to Allscripts including most recently serving as General Counsel for Motorola Mobility's Home Business. Prior to becoming General Counsel of the Home Business, Farley was a member of the staff of Motorola Mobility's president, and served as his primary legal counsel. He has served as lead attorney in negotiating and advising Motorola's executive leadership teams on matters involving the separation of Motorola Mobility from the former Motorola, international joint ventures, restructuring deals, mergers, and other major transactions.

M*Modal Announces Leadership Changes

M*Modal, a leading provider of clinical documentation and speech understanding solutions, appointed Duncan W. James as CEO and a member of M*Modal’s Board of Directors, replacing Vern Davenport, who has chosen to leave the company. The Company also expanded its leadership team, naming Graham O. King as its new Chairman of the Board.

Prior to leading QuadraMed, James was Group President at McKesson Corporation for nearly a decade. He has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare information and technology industries, including domestic and international operations, strategic planning, sales and marketing, and product management.

M*Modal’s new Chairman of the Board Graham King is a long-time healthcare industry leader and strategic consultant, formerly head of the two largest healthcare information technology companies in the world, Share Medical Systems (now part of Siemens) and HBOC (now part of McKesson). He has also served as a director on the boards of seven companies, most of which were publicly owned and technology based across industries such as healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, real estate, and retail.

In related moves, M*Modal also announced that Ron Scarboro, CFO, is appointed COO of M*Modal. He replaces Amy Amick, who has decided to leave the company. David Woodworth, currently VP, Finance, will assume the role of Acting CFO.

Former Allscripts Senior Executive to Lead Next Phase of Company Growth as CEO of Shareable Ink

Shareable Ink, an enterprise cloud computing company that transforms point-of-care clinical documentation to structured data and analytics, named Laurie McGraw as CEO and a member of Shareable Ink’s Board of Directors. McGraw brings more than 20 years of executive leadership and a proven track record of leading rapid growth in the healthcare IT industry. At Allscripts, McGraw was most recently Chief Client Officer and also spent the majority of her tenure as President of Allscripts’ fastest growing EHR business unit. Prior to Allscripts, McGraw held various executive roles at IDX (acquired by GE Healthcare) and its Internet subsidiary ChannelHealth (acquired by Allscripts).

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults,, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
