T-Mobile Names Former AT&T and Microsoft Exec as CMO

T-Mobile has appointed Michael Sievert, 40, as the company’s new CMO. T-Mobile has been without a permanent CMO since Cole Brodman stepped down from a 17-year career at T-Mobile earlier this year. Sievert was most recently the CEO of Discovery Bay Games, the maker of tablet gaming accessories such as the Atari Arcade peripheral for the iPad. Sievert has 20 years of marketing experience as Chief Commercial Officer of Clearwire, CEO and co-founder of Switchbox Labs, SVP at Lenovo, Corporate VP of the worldwide Windows business group at Microsoft, EVP and CMO at AT&T, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at E*TRADE, and began his career with management positions at Procter & Gamble and IBM.

Acting CMO Andrew Sherrard will resume his duties as SVP of marketing for T-Mobile’s contract business. Sherrard has been serving as acting CMO since spring 2012.

Bell Canada Enterprises Names Former CPP Investment Board CEO as New Director

Bell Canada Enterprises appointed David F. Denison, 60, as a Director of BCE and Bell Canada. Mr. Denison has served as President and CEO of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Investment Board. Prior to his appointment to the CPP Investment Board, he was President of Fidelity Investments Canada. He serves as a Director at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and as a member of the World Bank Treasury Expert Advisory Committee. He is a director of The United Way of Greater Toronto, and a member of the Toronto Community Foundation Investment Committee and the University of Toronto Investment Advisory Committee.

Motorola Solutions Elects ComED CEO to Board

Motorola Solutions elects Anne R. Pramaggiore, president and CEO of the largest electric utility in Illinois, Commonwealth Edison, to baord. Pramaggiore served as Commonwealth Edison 's COO previously, being with the Chicago-based company since 1998 in various executive roles including overseeing customer operations and regulatory and external affairs. Prior to that, she was an attorney with McDermott, Will & Emery for eight years.

Level 3 Communications Names Long-Timer as Regional President of North America

Level 3 Communications named Andrew Crouch as the Regional President of North America with responsibility for North America operations, marketing and sales. Crouch previously served as regional president of North America Sales for Level 3 Communications. Crouch has been with Level 3 for more than a decade and has served in a number of senior executive positions for the company. Most recently, as the Regional President of North America Sales, he led the region to year-over-year growth while integrating two large sales organizations. He also previously served as group VP of Sales for Wholesale Markets and as president of the Wholesale Markets Group for Level 3. Prior to joining Level 3, Crouch held executive positions at British Telecom and Concert, a joint venture between British Telecom and AT&T.

Audiovox Names VP of Mobile Audio and Advanced Accessories for Electronics Subsidiary

Audiovox Electronics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Audiovox Corporation, announced the addition of Stephen Witt, a well-known mobile electronics executive to its Mobile Electronics group. Mr. Witt joins the company in a newly created position of VP of Mobile Audio and Advanced Accessories. He comes to Audiovox through a transition from his role as EVP at DICE Electronics, where he led the aftermarket and automaker business development of connectivity solutions. DICE Electronics continues to innovate and engineer new products under the exclusive sales and distribution agreement with Audiovox Electronics.

Deltathree Adds Former Verizon Exec as New Board Member

Deltathree, the VoIP products company, elected Donna Reeves-Collins to serve as a director of the Company. She has served as Managing Director of Rich Products’new ventures/product development division since 2007. She joined Rich Products following its signing of a joint venture development agreement with Cole & Parks, a bakery cafe restaurant which develops unique food products that was founded by Ms. Reeves-Collins in 2003 and where she has served as CEO since its inception. Prior to founding Cole & Parks, she served in a number of positions at Frontier Corporation, including SVP of Sales, President of Sales for the Western Region and President and COO of a joint venture with Verizon Wireless. Following Frontier's acquisition by Global Crossing in 1999, she served as the SVP of Sales Media & Entertainment for Global Crossing through 2001.

On-Ramp Wireless Hires New CEO to Double Growth

Wireless communications module developer On-Ramp Wireless named Kevin Hell, the former CEO of DivX, as President and CEO. Hell headed DivX until its acquisition by Sonic Solutions in 2010, and most recently was chairman of the EvoNexus startup incubator run by CommNexus. Hell sits on the boards of Hold-Free Networks, Perminova, MicroPower Technologies and Pixon Imaging.

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults,, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
