eBay Director Resigns; Joins AOL Board

Dawn G. Lepore, 57, a director of eBay, has resigned from the company’s board. She has been newly elected to AOL’s board. Lepore is CEO at Prosper Marketplace, a peer-to-peer lending marketplace. Formerly, she was CEO and Chairman of, a leading online retailer of health, beauty, and wellness products, until its sale to Walgreens. Prior to that, she held leadership positions at The Charles Schwab Company, like Vice Chairman of technology, operations, administration, strategy and active trader, was CIO, a member of Schwab's executive committee and a trustee of SchwabFunds. Makes Board Changes

Jeffery H. Boyd , 55, President and CEO of online travel company, will assume the additional role of Chairman, beginning next year. He will succeed Ralph M. Bahna , 69, who will retire. Mr. Boyd has been President of since 2001 and CEO since 2002. He previously served as COO, EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Prior to joining, Mr. Boyd was EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Oxford Health Plans.

Mr. Bahna, who participated in the formation of and has served as Chairman of the Board since 2004, is a longtime executive veteran of the travel industry. In addition to, he has served as Chairman of Masterworks Development, a company he founded in 1992 that developed the Club Quarters hotel group. He also served as the CEO of Cunard Lines and the Cunard Group of Companies. Prior to Cunard, Mr. Bahna was employed by Trans World Airlines, where he developed and launched its highly successful Ambassador Service.

The Board named current Director James M. Guyette, 66, to serve in the newly created role of Lead Independent Director. Mr. Guyette has been a Director of since 2003. Mr. Guyette is currently Chairman, President and CEO of Rolls-Royce North America. Before joining Rolls-Royce, he served as EVP – Marketing and Planning for United Airlines. Mr. Guyette is also the Chairman of the Board of PrivateBancorp.

The Board also named Thomas E. Rothman, 57, departing Chairman and CEO of News Corporation's Fox Filmed Entertainment Group, as's newest Director. Before joining Fox Filmed, which he served for 18 years, Mr. Rothman served as President of Worldwide Production for the Samuel Goldwyn Company, and EVP, Production of Sony’s Columbia Pictures. He also served as a partner with Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein & Selz.

Motorola Solutions Elects ComED CEO to Board

Motorola Solutions elects Anne R. Pramaggiore, president and CEO of the largest electric utility in Illinois, Commonwealth Edison, to baord. Pramaggiore served as Commonwealth Edison 's COO previously, being with the Chicago-based company since 1998 in various executive roles including overseeing customer operations and regulatory and external affairs. Prior to that, she was an attorney with McDermott, Will & Emery for eight years.

Level 3 Communications Names FedEx Exec to Board

Level 3 Communications appointed T. Michael Glenn, 56, to its board of directors. Glenn serves as EVP of Market Development and Corporate Communications at FedEx, and is president and CEO of FedEx Corporate Services. Prior to assuming his current position in 1998, Mr. Glenn held a number of executive positions with increasing responsibility at FedEx.

Global Interactive Marketing Provider Makes Board Changes

ExactTarget elected Julie Bradley, 43, as an independent director. Bradley is SVP, CFO and treasurer of TripAdvisor and has held executive financial leadership roles at high-growth technology companies including Art Technology Group (acquired by Oracle) and Akamai Technologies.

DreamWorks Animation Names New Chairman

DreamWorks Animation’s Chairman Roger Enrico, 67, resigns. The company has named fellow Board member Mellody Hobson, 43, as the new Chairman of the Board. Mr. Enrico has served as Chairman of DreamWorks Animation since its inception as a public company in 2004. Mr. Enrico formerly served as Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, where he spent 31 years.

Ms. Hobson has served as the president of Ariel Investments, a Chicago-based investment management firm, since 2004. She also has served as president and a director of its sole managing member, Ariel Capital Management Holdings. She is also the president of Ariel Investment Trust, an open-end management investment company, and has served as a trustee and as chairman of the board of trustees. She previously served as SVP and director of marketing, and VP of marketing at Ariel Capital Management.

Convergys Names New Chairman and New President, CEO and Board Member

Convergys appointed Jeffrey H. Fox, 49, as Executive Chairman of the Board. He has been President and CEO since 2010. His prior positions include: Principal and former CEO, The Circumference Group; COO, Alltel Corporation; and Group President, Shared Services, Alltel Corporation.

Andrea Ayers, 48, was appointed as president and CEO, and a member of the board of directors. Ms. Ayers joined Convergys in 1990 and has served in a variety of a leadership positions, most recently as president and COO. She also served as President, Customer Management, President, Relationship Technology Management, and President, Government and New Markets, for the company.

Board Changes at Extreme Networks

Extreme Networks, the network infrastructure equipment Company, appointed Edward Terino, 59, to its Board of Directors. He brings over 30 years of financial management, operations, and technology experience to the Board of Directors, including expertise in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and cost restructurings, investor relations, and in strengthening financial measures and controls in technology companies. He has served as a director of Baltic Trading, an international dry bulk shipping company, and as a director of SeaChange International, a video software company.

Streamline Appoints Board Member

Streamline Health Solutions, the provider of enterprise content management and business analytics solutions for healthcare organizations, added Michael Valentine, CEO of Netsmart, to its Board of Directors. He joined Netsmart in 2011 from Cerner, where he served as EVP and COO. Prior to this role, he maintained ownership of client delivery and strategic partnerships for Cerner's worldwide operations, and was the driving force behind advancements made in standardization and centralization of Cerner's delivery model. Prior to joining Cerner, Mr. Valentine founded and managed a Midwest-based technology solutions and services company. Before that, he was an executive in telecommunications and technology industry groups at Andersen Consulting for seven years.

Former CEO Resigns from Copytele’s Board

Denis A. Krusos, 84, resigned from Copytele’s Board. He was previously removed as CEO of the company, a position he has held since 1982. CopyTele's Chairman of the Board, Lewis H. Titterton Jr., 67, was named interim CEO to lead CopyTele while a search for a new CEO is conducted.

Yippy Names Former CEO as Board Chair

Richard Granville, 40, the Company's previous CEO, has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors. He served as the Chairman, President, CEO of Cinnabar Ventures, Managing Partner of Yippy Partnership Group, CEO of Jack9 Entertainment, President of Southpaw, and President of Granville Management Services. He also served as the Chairman and CEO of Grace Development.

Qualstar Witnesses Changes in Legal Representative on Board

Qualstar’s board member Robert Rich, 61, resigns from the board. Mr. Rich is outside counsel for Qualstar and has been a board member since 2000. He has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1975.

The company has appointed Daniel Molhoek, an attorney with the Varnum law firm, to its board of directors. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1993. He has advised boards of publicly held companies and currently serves as Secretary to the Board of Herman Miller. He also serves on the Board of several private companies and of many non-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity of Kent County and the John Ball Zoological Society

Nortel Networks Board Member Resigns

Jalynn H. Bennett, 69, resigned as a Director of Nortel Networks, the telecom vendor with range of GSM and CDMA access and core network products. She is a past Commissioner of the Ontario Securities Commission and was a member of the TSX, Canadian Stock Exchange and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Joint Committee on Corporate Governance (the Saucier Committee). She is the former President of Jalynn H. Bennett and Associates, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and organizational development in both the public and private sectors. Prior to establishing that firm, Mrs. Bennett was associated for nearly 25 years with The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company.

Web Publisher and Internet Brand Builder Appoints Board Member

Clicker appointed Dov Konetz, 30, to the Company's Board. He worked for Peoples Insurance Claim Center since 2003, handling appraisals and mediation negotiations related to insurance claims. Mr. Konetz holds a Florida Department of Insurance Adjusting License, which he has held since 2003.

Former Apple and Venture Exec Joins Xtime’s Board

Heidi Roizen has joined the board of Xtime, maker of a cloud-based CRM platform for the automotive services industry. Roizen, who recently took the post of venture partner with Draper Fisher Jurvetson, will help the company with corporate development efforts. In 1996, Heidi joined Apple as VP of Worldwide Developer Relations. Heidi co-founded T/Maker Company (an early personal computer software company) in 1983, where she served as CEO from inception through its acquisition by Deluxe Corporation in 1994.

Google and Former Yahoo! Exec Joins Move’s Board

Move, online real estate and operator of the Move Network, named Jennifer Dulski to its Board. Dulski currently leads the product management team for shopping and product ads at Google. She joined Google in 2011 when it acquired Dealmap, a company Dulski co-founded and served as its CEO until its acquisition. Prior to Dealmap, Dulski served in multiple roles at Yahoo!. Her last position was Yahoo's group VP and general manager of local and commerce. Additionally, Dulski founded and ran Summerbridge Pittsburgh (part of the Breakthrough Collaborative), a non-profit organization that launches high potential, underserved middle school students on the path to college and inspires high school and college students to pursue careers in education.

Online Patient Registration Software Company Appoints CEO and Board Member

RegisterPatient named Jana Skewes, former CEO of Shared Health, a provider of Web-based patient information software, as president and CEO and member of its board. She collaborated with health systems, physicians, State Medicaid divisions, payers and employers to build one of the largest health information exchanges in the country. Prior to building Shared Health, Skewes was officer of a $5 billion health plan with P&L responsibility for all major product lines. Skewes has presented information on Capitol Hill and has testified before the National Governors Association on topics ranging from physician adoption of health IT, to information security, to interoperability. She also served on the statewide eHealth Council of Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen.

ApeniMED Names New Board Members

ApeniMED, a vendor of health care interoperability and workflow management services, named Barbara Stinnett, CEO and managing partner of the Timmaron Group, which advises CEOs, boards and investors, and Duane Kullberg, a board member at the Chicago Board Options Exchange and Artio Global Investors, as new Directors.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.
