Cisco Promotes Executives as CEO Lines Up Successors

Cisco appointed Robert W. Lloyd, 56, as President, Development and Sales and Gary B. Moore, 63, as President and COO. Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Lloyd served as EVP, Worldwide Operations. He joined Cisco in 1994 and has served as SVP, US, Canada and Japan, SVP, EMEA, VP, EMEA, and General Manager of Cisco Canada.

Mr. Moore has served as COO since 2011. Prior to his new appointment, he served as an EVP. He joined Cisco in 2001 as SVP, Advanced Services, and held various positions like EVP, Cisco Services. Immediately before joining Cisco, he served as CEOof Netigy, a network consulting company. Prior to that, he was employed by Electronic Data Systems where he held a number of executive positions.

Time Warner Cable Makes Senior Management Changes

Peter C. Stern, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer, will assume additional responsibility as Chief People Officer and leader of Corporate Development at Time Warner Cable. Mr. Stern assumes responsibility for HR functions from Tom Mathews, who is leaving the company for personal reasons, and Corporate Development from Carl Rossetti, who, the company announced earlier this year, will retire at the end of the year. Mr. Stern joined Time Warner Cable over a decade ago and has served in a number of strategy and product roles at both Time Warner Cable and its former parent, Time Warner. Before joining Time Warner, he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey.

Stephanie Anderson joined the company as SVP, Marketing for Business Services and will oversee all marketing, sales and customer relationship management activities. She joins from Cablevision, where she spent the last three years serving as VP, Commercial Markets Marketing and Advertising overseeing marketing and advertising for all sales channels. Before joining Cablevision, Anderson was the CMO and advisor to the CEO for Presence Technology, specializing in call center software solutions.

Time Warner Cable announced that Greg King has been promoted to SVP, Business Services Product and Strategy and will oversee all aspects of product strategy, development and management for Business Services. He joined Time Warner Cable in 2010 as Group VP, Business Services Strategy and was part of the team that helped acquire and integrate NaviSite. King began his career at ATX Communications in Philadelphia. Subsequently, he worked for twenty years at an international transportation company, where he started as a systems architect before becoming Director, MIS, CIO, and ultimately was appointed to their Board. In 1998, King also co-founded and was CTO of a small telecom services company that built its own switches to provide customized business telephony services.

Level 3 Communications Names FedEx Exec to Board

Level 3 Communications appointed T. Michael Glenn, 56, to its board of directors. Glenn serves as EVP of Market Development and Corporate Communications at FedEx, and is president and CEO of FedEx Corporate Services. Prior to assuming his current position in 1998, Mr. Glenn held a number of executive positions with increasing responsibility at FedEx.

Senior Management Changes at Communications Solutions Company

Black Box Corporation elected Michael McAndrew, 52, as President and COO. R. Terry Blakemore, 55, will continue to serve as CEO of the Company through March, 2013. In connection with Mr. McAndrew's appointment, Mr. Blakemore ceased to serve as President. Mr. McAndrew will become the Company's CEO and will join the Board in April, 2013.

Mr. McAndrew served as EVP and CFO, Secretary and Treasurer, VP and CFO, Manager of Corporate Planning and Analysis with the Company where he has been for 23 years.

The company elected Timothy C. Huffmyer, 38, as VP, CFO, Treasurer and Secretary. He was promoted to Director of Finance in 2008. He served as Corporate Controller and in other finance roles prior thereto. Mr. Huffmyer has been with the Company for 9 years.

Black Box also elected Kenneth P. Davis, 48, as EVP of North America Commercial Services. He was previously named VP - Voice Communications North, Europe and Latin America in 2010. Mr. Davis has served in a number of operating roles within the Company, including as VP and General Manager of the Northeast Region, Europe and Latin America. Mr. Davis has been with the Company for 13 years.

Mitel Appoints Regional Sales and Channel Leaders

Jeff Nolan is now VP of Channel Development for North America at Mitel, the provider of business communications and collaboration software and services. Mr. Nolan previously spent six years as head of Mitel sales in Canada where he and his team established the company as the country's clear number-two business communications vendor with 25 percent market share for IP desktop extensions. Mr. Nolan also previously served as Mitel's regional sales director for the northeastern United States.

Mitel named Tom Lang as VP of Canadian Sales. Mr. Lang comes to Mitel from Bell Canada where he most recently held the position of general manager, Bell Business Markets in Ontario, generating year-over-year business growth and expansion. In addition, Mr. Lang brings to Mitel extensive experience leading software sales teams at Parametric Technology Corporation and Selectica to double-digit growth. During his tenure at Bell, he also held senior positions within Bell Gateways, the SMB market, as well as Professional and Consulting Services.

Former CEO Resigns from Copytele’s Board

Denis A. Krusos, 84, resigned from Copytele’s Board. He was previously removed as CEO of the company, a position he has held since 1982. CopyTele's Chairman of the Board, Lewis H. Titterton Jr., 67, was named interim CEO to lead CopyTele while a search for a new CEO is conducted.

Cell Phone Booster Technology Company Names CEO and CFO

Cellynx Group appointed Dwayne Yaretz, 50, as CEO and CFO. He has been a Director of Cellynx since 2009. Most recently, he was President, CEO and Director or Pakit, a Canadian and Swedish technology company and leading designer, developer and supplier of cellulose fiber moulding equipment to the packaging industry. Currently, he is a Director or Benzai Capital.

Nortel Networks Board Member Resigns

Jalynn H. Bennett, 69, resigned as a Director of Nortel Networks, the telecom vendor with range of GSM and CDMA access and core network products. She is a past Commissioner of the Ontario Securities Commission and was a member of the TSX, Canadian Stock Exchange and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Joint Committee on Corporate Governance (the Saucier Committee). She is the former President of Jalynn H. Bennett and Associates, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and organizational development in both the public and private sectors. Prior to establishing that firm, Mrs. Bennett was associated for nearly 25 years with The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Vell is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Boston CEO Roundtable. She has served on the boards of Framingham State, Entrepreneur's Organization, Goodwill, Mary Centre for developmentally handicapped adults,, and RBC Capital Partners.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
