Zynga Cloud Guru and CTO joins ServiceNow
Zynga’s CTO of infrastructure Allan Leinwand was named VP and CTO, Platform Development at ServiceNow, the provider of enterprise SaaS products for IT management. Leinwand was the wizard behind Zynga's move from Amazon's cloud services to its own server infrastructure called the zCloud. Before joining Zynga in 2010, he served as Venture Partner at Panorama Capital, Operating Partner at JPMorgan Partners, Co-Founder, President and CEO at Proficient Networks, VP Engineering and CTO at Telegis Networks, VP Engineering and CTO at Digital Island, Manager, Consulting Engineering at Cisco Systems, and Internet Engineer at HP.
SeaChange Strengthens International Operations with Executive Appointment
SeaChange, the cloud based video server company, strengthened its European operations with the appointment of Andrei Noppe as SVP and General Manager for the EMEA/APAC region. Noppe has a broad range of industry experience in C-level/executive management positions at several video service provider companies in Europe, most recently as EVP of the M7 Group in Luxemburg, which offers satellite and direct-to-home (DTH) TV services in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria under the brands CanalDigitaal, TV Vlaanderen, TeleSAT and AustriaSAT. He was also managing director of Canal Digitaal, the satellite and DTH television operator in the Netherlands prior to it being merged into M7. Before that Noppe was CTO at Casema, the Netherlands' third-largest cable operator at the time, now merged into Ziggo; and managing director at Primacom, a cable operator in Germany.
Carbonite’s CFO Resigns
Cloud-based online back-up company, Carbonite’s CFO Andrew Keenan, 50, has resigned. The company has initiated a search to identify a CFO. Keenan will continue as CFO through January, 2013 to facilitate an orderly transition of his responsibilities. Keenan has led the company through its rapid growth since early 2007. Prior to Carbonite, Keenan served as the CFO of Vovici, a survey software company. Before Vovici, he was CFO of Silver Oak Partners where he helped orchestrate it sale to CGI. Before Silver Oak, Keenan was Corporate Controller of Synchronicity Software, a global software and service provider. Keenan also held Corporate Controller and other senior financial positions at Provant and Systemsoft where he completed their IPOs and a secondary offering, managed all financial functions during dramatic growth as public companies and completed over 25 acquisitions.
Australian Web Host Macquarie Telecom Names Operations Group Executive
Australian managed hosting and cloud hosting provider Macquarie Telecom appointed William Priest as the company’s Operations Group Executive. Reporting to Macquarie Telecom CEO David Tudehope, Priest will be in charge of delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer service, with additional responsibility of their customer contact center, MacquarieHUB. Additionally, he will develop strategies for both internal and external initiatives. Priest has 32 years of experience in the IT industry, with executive roles like SVP looking after strategy, marketing and communications at France Telecom Orange Group, SVP at Equant, Managing Principal at IBM, Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse, and Senior Consultant at Ernst and Young.
Former Cisco Exec named CFO at Cloud Managed Video Services Company
Glowpoint appointed Tolga Sakman, 39, as CFO and SVP, Corporate Development and Strategy. He formerly served as the Company's interim CFO and SVP, Corporate Development and Strategy. Prior to joining the Company in 2011, he held a position with the TelePresence Technology Group of Cisco Systems, working on market development initiatives. Until Cisco's acquisition of Tandberg in 2010, he was employed by Tandberg and held various roles in corporate development, business development and strategic marketing.

Prior to joining the Company, he served as CFO and COO at PSS, that assists businesses improve their customer service and communications systems. He worked simultaneously on a part-time basis as CFO at Global Profit Technologies. Prior to this, he served as EVP of Administration and CFO of Cology, CFO of Trimble Mobile Solutions, CFO of Tiros Corporation, CFO and COO at Wordlink, and CFO and VP, Finance at Cellular One. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, Precious Mayes most recently served as the Chief Development Officer for Sub Acute Hospital and Long term Care Company in California. Pertino, a virtual networking solution for the cloud era, names Todd Krautkremer as VP of Marketing and Tony Wilder as VP of Operations. Krautkremer brings more than 20 years of successful experience with startups and a passion for building early-stage companies into market leaders. Most recently, Krautkremer served as COO of Red Lambda where he led the effort to transform an innovative grid computing technology into an industry first-mover in big data security analytics. He was CEO of Gearworks, a leading provider of SaaS-based, carrier-delivered mobile solutions for small to mid-sized companies. Before that he partnered with Elliott as VP of worldwide marketing at WAN optimization pioneer Packeteer. He secured his large-scale networking prowess early in his career with engineering and product roles at AT&T and Siemens.
Wilder is also a Packeteer alum where he established and ran the global systems engineering and customer service organizations. He brings to Pertino a proven track record in service delivery and technical and customer operations spanning over 20 years. Prior to joining Pertino, Wilder was the Senior Director of Worldwide Technical Operations at security stalwart Blue Coat and Senior Director of Technical Marketing and Operations at wireless innovator Trapeze Networks, now part of Juniper Networks. Earlier in his career, Wilder was Senior Manager of Worldwide Channel Systems at Apple where he managed Apple's international online information and email service.

Cloud Storage Firm Names Verizon/Terremark Exec to Lead Sales for International Growth
Nirvanix has named Tina Gravel VP of worldwide sales. Gravel comes to Nirvanix after a career at Terremark where she grew the cloud services company to its acquisition by Verizon in 2011. This appointment comes four months after Nirvanix raised over $25 million in funding, to be used in part to increase its gloabl footprint across sales and marketing. With over 20 years of sales experience in the cloud and SaaS industries, Gravel has held several positions at Verizon/Terremark, most recently as VP, Global Channels and Alliances. In this role she designed, built and launched a highly successful worldwide channel program to distribute cloud services through MSPs, system integrators and OEMs. Before Terremark, Gravel was VP, central region sales at Data Return, which was bought by Terremark in 2007.
Colocation Firm Telx taps to Lead Service Provider Markets
Colocation provider Telx named Tony Rossabi as SVP for Service Provider Markets. Rossabi has more than a decade of international business and product development experience within IT and telecommunications organizations. Telx has tasked Rossabi with forming a senior team of professionals that will drive all aspects of the Telx go-to-market strategy and key initiatives in support of this segment. Rossabi joins Telx from Tata Communications where he served as SVP of Global Carrier Solutions. In addition, Rossabi held positions with WilTel (Level 3), BellSouth Long Distance, and Telnext Communications.
IO Expands to Europe, Apoints Enterprise Sales Leader
Modular data center technology and services provider IO has expanded operations to Europe and named Ricky Cooper as its VP of Enterprise Sales of EMEA. Based in London, UK, Cooper has 17 years of sales experience, having previously served with Microsoft, where his roles included managing a global 100 account for Microsoft and regional business manager for the global accounts division in Europe. Prior to Microsoft, Cooper was at Dell Computers where his roles included enterprise sales lead for United Kingdom and Ireland, and responsibility for the Dell/Microsoft partner relationship in EMEA.
Former Symantec Exec Named President at Ecommerce Store Building Company
E-commerce storefront builder Ecwid appointed IT industry veteran Jim O’Hara as the company’s new President. As VP of Worldwide Sales and Business Development for LiveOffice, he led the cloud archiving company to more than 350 percent growth over four years, including the transition from SMB-only into the enterprise market, from US-only to more than 70 countries, and ultimately its acquisition by Symantec. Prior to joining LiveOffice, Jim spent six years at Symantec and Veritas (acquired by Symantec in 2005), where most recently he led the worldwide service provider sales group for the consumer division. Previously, Jim served as VP of Business Development at StorageNetworks and held sales management roles at Cisco Systems.
NaviSite Hires Former Avaya and Lucent Exec to Lead Worldwide Sales
Web hosting provider NaviSite has named Christopher Cordom as SVP of Worldwide Sales, where he will lead NaviSite’s direct and channel sales efforts. Previously, he served as the general manager for NaviSite’s Atlantic region sales team. He has more than 25 years of sales experience in the enterprise technology market. Prior to joining NaviSite in 2009, he managed Avaya’s global sales for multinational organizations where he played an integral role in developing the sales structure and go to market model. He has also held key management, strategy and sales positions with Avaya, Lucent and AT&T and is a member of the US patent team responsible for a type of voice recognition call routing at Lucent Technologies.
Intermedia Adds Customer Service and BD Experts to Top Managment Team
The largest Microsoft Exchange hosting provider Intermedia has welcomed Connie Adcock, a customer service expert and Luis Curet, a sales and business development executive, as the company’s new Vice Presidents of Client Services and of Direct Sales respectively.
Most recently, Adcock was VP of Shared Services at Vertex Data Science, where she led the international virtual shared services team supporting global outsourcing operations. She has had significant experience in building, mentoring and developing high performing customer service teams, including previous roles as SVP of customer service at 1-800-Flowers and VP of global customer contact at National Car Rental.
Curet most recently held the role of SVP of the Americas for web and email security solutions provider M86 Security, which was recently acquired by Trustwave. Prior to joining M86, Curet was a VP at encryption and information security company, Rainbow Technologies, where he oversaw sales and corporate marketing for the commercial business unit.
Hosting Veterans Join New Cloud Hosting Firm ProfitBricks
New cloud hosting venture ProfitBricks named hosting industry veterans William Toll and Clint Miller its Vice-Presidents of Marketing and Sales, respectively, for the US market.
Toll is a hosting veteran of more than 15 years, who has held senior marketing positions most recently with website performance company Yottaa and at major hosting brands including Intermedia and NaviSite.
Miller has led sales teams in hosting or closely related businesses throughout his career – most recently as carrier sales manager for Global Crossing. He was also VP of US Sales at video infrastructure solutions company Blackwave, and previously worked in managed hosting sales for Digital Island and AT&T.
