The following tech companies appointed CEOs in the month of June 2018:

  • China:  Linekong Interactive Group.

  • Total Access Communication, Thailand - Total Access Communication Public Company Ltd. (DTAC) announced Mrs. Alexandra Reich as new CEO of dtac in Thailand. Reich is former CEO of Telenor Hungary and Head of Telenor Group’s Central Eastern Europe Cluster.  The Company primarily provides wireless telecommunications services in Thailand.
  • Digital China Holdings Ltd., Hong Kong - Chairman Guo Wei has been appointed as the Chair & CEO of the company. CEO Lin Yang has been appointed as the Vice Chairman. The Company is an investment holdings company and provides IT services primarily in Mainland China.
  • Vodafone New Zealand Ltd., New Zealand - Vodafone New Zealand has announced that Russell Stanners will step down from his position of company CEO at end-October. He will be succeeded by Jason Paris, currently Vodafone's director for convergence acceleration, AMAP region. Paris joined Vodafone Group this year from Spark where he was CEO of home, mobile and business.
  • Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Malaysia - Group chief content consumer officer, Henry Tan, who has been with the pay-TV operator for more than 10 years, will be CEO Rohana Rozhan' s successor. The Company operates as a content and consumer group in Malaysia and internationally.
  • amaysim Australia Ltd., Australia - CEO and Managing Director (CEO) Julian Ogrin will be leaving the company and the role of CEO will be assumed by Peter O'Connell. O'Connell co-founded amaysim in 2010 and served as the company's Chairman from inception until June 2015 and has remained involved with the company as a non-executive director from June 2015 until now. The Company provides mobile telecommunication services in Australia.
  • PanAsialum Holdings Company Ltd., Hong Kong - Dr. Huang Gang has been appointed as the joint CEO of the Company. Dr. Huang, 55, is currently the General Manager of PanAsia Aluminium (China) Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. Ms. Shao Liyu has been re-designated from CEO of the Company to Joint CEO. The Company manufactures and trades in aluminium products, including for consumer electronics.
  • Rentian Technology Holdings, Hong Kong - Mr. Bai Xuefei is named CEO of the Company;  Mr. Kwok Kenneth Wai Lung, CEO is now President. Mr. Bai was a deputy General Manager of China Nuclear Investment Co. Ltd. from July 2016 to May 2018 and an executive director and the co-CEO of China Nuclear Energy Technology Corp. Ltd.. Rentian Tech primarily provides Internet-of-things (IoT) solutions to enterprise customers in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, and internationally.
  • Redbubble, Australia - Marting Hosking, the company's Managing Director and CEO since 2010 will retire as MD and CEO. The board has appointed Barry Newstead, currently company's COO as the next MD & CEO. The Company is online marketplace that facilitates the sale and purchase of art and designs on a range of products between independent creatives and consumers.
  • Linekong Interactive Group, China - Ms. Liao Mingxiang, President and an executive Director, is appointed as the new CEO of the company. The company researches, develops, and publishes online games in the People’s Republic of China and internationally.
  • Reckon Ltd., Australia - The Board has been giving careful consideration to an appropriate succession plan for current Group CEO, Clive Rabie. Rabie will be appointed as Managing Director. Sam Allert, who was running the Australia and New Zealand operations, will assume the operational responsibilities of CEO.  Reckon provides software solutions for small and medium businesses, larger businesses, accountants, bookkeepers, and lawyers in Australia, the United States, and others.
  • Genesys International Corp. Ltd., India – The Company appointed Mr. Kuldeep Moholkar as CEO of the company. Kuldeep Moholkar is a seasoned business leader with over 21 years of experience with Wipro, Deloitte Touche and Tata Honeywell, spanning Industrial Automation, Management Consulting, IT Services and Engineering Services industry. The Company provides mapping, survey, and geospatial services for enterprises, government agencies, and consumers worldwide.
  • Grand Perfecta, Japan - Grand Perfecta announced that Steve Ketter was elected Chairman of the Board, CEO, and CFO of the Company. Steve Ketter has been self-employed for the past five years as an advisor on business development, operations management, and strategic forecasting.  The Company engages in gathering, publishing, and disseminating horse racing information and other content related to horse racing in Japan and Hong Kong.
  • NowNews Digital Media Technology Co. Ltd., Taiwan - The Board appointed Mr. Chi-Yi Lan to be the new CEO of the Company. Lan, 53, currently serves as the executive director at Jiangsu Sheng Zhong Ltd. Company. The Company operates as a media company in Taiwan. It creates, collects, and distributes news and information through its Website, nownews.com; and applications on mobile phones or tablets.
  • Livehire Ltd., Australia - LiveHire Ltd. appointed board member Christy Forest to the role of CEO. Christy, who joined the company Board in September 2017, brings deep experience in scaling high- growth businesses. At CEB, she led the firm's revenue portfolio, Global Member Services, covering the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. She then became Managing Director of Asia-Pacific. Livehire, a talent technology company, provides business intelligence and data services to enterprises in Australia.
  • SGOCO Group, Hong Kong - Raleigh Siu Lau was appointed as the Company's President and CEO by the Board of Directors. Mr. Lau, age 66, is a banker who has served for almost 40 years as the senior manager of Chong Hing Bank. The Company engages in the product design, distribution, and brand development in the display and computer product market in Mainland China and Hongkong.
  • Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Corp., Philippines - Mr. James G. Velasquez was elected and appointed as the President and CEO. Mr. Velasquez has been a member of the Board of Directors of PT&T since March 1, 2018. The Company operates as a telecommunications company in the Philippines.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

Vell holds seven worldwide software patents. She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
