Tech Giants

Alphabet Names Board Veteran as Chairman to Succeed Schmidt. Alphabet appointed John L. Hennessy, 65, former President of Stanford University, to serve as Executive Chair of Alphabet’s Board. Hennessy has served on the Board since April 2004 and Lead Independent Director since April 2007. Eric Schmidt, 62, becomes technical advisor to the company while continuing to serve on its board. Alphabet said that Canadian-born Shirley M. Tilghman, 71, 19th President of Princeton University, also retired from the board effective Feb. 15, 2018.

Microsoft Elects Former US Secretary of Commerce Penny S. Pritzke as Newest Board Member. Entrepreneur, civic leader, philanthropist, billionaire and former United States Secretary of Commerce Penny S. Pritzker, JD, 58, joins as director of Microsoft.

Facebook Appoints AmEx Chair/CEO to Board. Kenneth I. Chenault, 66, has been appointed to Facebook’s board. Chenault has been Chairman and CEO of American Express Company since April 2001. Chenault joined American Express in 1981.

Ambassador Charlene Barshefsky, 67, Not to Stand for Re-Election to Intel’s Board. Barshefsky, a member of the Board since 2004, will continue to serve in her independent Board role and Board committee membership until the 2018 Annual Stockholders' Meeting. 

IBM Elects Joseph R. Swedish and Frederick H. Waddell to Board. Joseph R. Swedish, 65, is the chairman, president and CEO of Anthem. Frederick H. Waddell, 63, is the chairman and CEO of Northern Trust Corporation.

Broadcom Appoints Former Benchmark Electronics CEO as Independent Director. Broadcom appointed Ms. Gayla J. Delly, 57, as an independent director of the company. Ms. Delly served as CEO of Benchmark Electronics.

TCS Approves Pradeep Kumar Khosla as Additional and Independent Director. Khosla, 60, is an internationally renowned electrical and computer engineer, is the eighth Chancellor of the University of California, San Diego, and a distinguished professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering.

Vodafone Group Plc Appoints Michel Demare as A Non-Executive Director. Demare, 61, served as CFO of ABB from 2005 to 2013 and was Chairman of the Board of Syngenta from 2013 to 2017. He currently is the independent Vice Chairman at UBS, having joined the board in 2009.

Activision Blizzard Elected Educationist Reveta Bowers to the Board. Bowers is an independent governance and organizational consultant for non-profit organizations. From 1972 to 2016, she served as a teacher and administrator at The Center for Early Education, an independent school for children.

Applied Materials Appoints Former Broadcom CEO Scott A. McGregor as Director. McGregor, 61, served as president and CEO and director of Broadcom from 2005 until the company was acquired by Avago Technologies Limited in 2016. Currently serves as director of Equifax.

Telefónica S.A. Announces Voluntary Resignation of Antonio Massanell Lavilla as Director. Antonio Massanell Lavilla, 63, Senior EVP of Fundacion Bancaria Caixa d'Estalvis i Pensions de Barcelona, has announced his voluntary resignation to the position of Director of Telefónica, S.A. He will be replaced by Jordi Gual Solé. Solé is Chairman at CaixaBank and was Head of Strategic Planning and Studies for CaixaBank and Director General of Planning and Strategic Development for CriteriaCaixa earlier.

Micron Technology’s CFO Leaves Role as well As Directorship. Ernest E. Maddock, 59, announced his intention to retire from Micron Technology. He will serve as the company's SVP & CFO until an orderly transition of duties.

VMware Announces Resignation of Paul Maritz from Board. Paul Maritz, 62, notified the company of his resignation from Board. Former CEO of VMware and Pivotal Software.

Cognizant announced that Joseph M. Velli has been appointed to its board. Velli, 59, previously served as Senior EVP and as a member of the Senior Policy Committee of The Bank of New York. Robert E. Weissman, 76, retired from its board.  Weissman has served on the Board since 2001.

Convergys Board Member Retires.  Richard F. Wallman, 66, notified Convergys Corporation that he will retire from the company's board of directors. Former CFO of Honeywell.

BT Witnesses Board Changes After Strategy Chief Exits as Part of Management Overhaul. Former chief strategy officer Sean Williams, who earlier resigned from his exec role, also resigned as a director, while, Group CFO Simon Lowth, Neil Harris and Patrick Bradley were appointed directors of the company.

Electronic Arts Names New Board Member. Heidi Ueberroth, 51, former President of NBA International, joins EA board.

China Telecom’s newly appointed  President & COO Liu Aili, 54, joins the board.

Former CEO of TE Connectivity, Thomas J. Lynch, 62, Announces Retirement from Board and as Executive Chairman.

Telenor ASA Elects René Obermann as New Member of the Board. René Obermann, 54, is Partner and Managing Director at Warburg Pincus International LLC and former CEO of Deutsche Telekom AG.

Fidelity National Information Services Appoints Louise M. Parent, 67, as Director. A former EVP and general counsel of AmEx, Parent has more than 35 years of experience in the financial industry.  Thomas M. Hagerty, 55, board member of Fidelity National Information Services to Retire. He is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Thomas H. Lee Partners.

Meg Whitman Steps Down From DXC Board. DXC Technology announced that Meg Whitman, chief executive officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, will step down from the DXC Technology board of directors. Whitman had joined the DXC Technology board earlier this year, as the company was being formed by the merger of HPE’s Enterprise Services business with CSC. 

HPE’s New CEO and Micro-Focus Spin-Off: (1) HP Enterprise Promotes President Antonio Neri, 50, to CEO and Director. Meg Whitman, 61, current CEO, will remain on the HPE Board of Directors. (2)HP Enterprise Spin-Off of Micro-Focus & Merger with HPE’s Software Results in Board Changes. (1) John Schultz, EVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of HPE, joined the board of directors of Micro Focus. (2) Goldman Sachs veteran Lawton Wehle Fitt, 64, joined as a non-executive director. (3) Stephen Murdoch, 50, the former CEO of Micro Focus, has stepped down from the Board and has become the COO of Micro Focus.

Chinese travel services International Announces Director Changes. Tony Yip, 37, VP and Head of Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions at Baidu, resigned. Herman Cheng-Chun Yu, 46, CFO, Baidu, is the new Baidu appointee.

Rogers Communications’ Chair & CEO Alan Horn, 65 steps down.      

Vantiv Changes Name to Worldpay after closing its acquisition of U.K. payments-processor Worldpay Group PLC; Appoints New Board. David Karnstedt and Mark Sunday resigned from the Worldpay’s board. Sir Michael Rake, Philip Jansen, Rohinton Kalifa, Karen Richardson and Deanna Oppenheimer, all five of whom are former members of the board of Legacy Worldpay, were appointed to the Board. President and CEO of Vantiv Charles Drucker and CEO of Worldpay Philip Jansen were appointed Co-CEOs and Drucker was appointed the Executive Chairperson of the Board.

Sprint Corporation Appoints Michel Combes as New Director. Combes, 55, is the newly appointed President and CFO of the Company.

Cerner Corporation’s New CEO Also Adds Chairman Role - Cerner appointed Brent Shafer, 60, as its CEO and Chairman of the Board. He is joining Cerner after serving as CEO of Philips North America, since February 2014.

Expedia Appoints Courtnee Chun to the Board. Courtnee Chun, 42, succeeds Dr. John C. Malone, 76, who resigned. Ms. Chun has served as SVP of Investor Relations for Liberty Interactive Corporation and Liberty Media Corporation, and has served as a director of HSN since May 2013.

Square Announces AI Expert Anna Patterson, 52, as Newest Board Member. Patterson is the Founder and Managing Partner at Gradient Ventures, google’s AI focused venture fund.  Patterson is also VP of Engineering at Google and most recently helped to integrate AI into products across Google.

NetApp Appoints Board Members. NetApp announced that Deborah Kerr, 45, former EVP and chief product and technology officer at Sabre, and  Scott Schenkel, 49, CFO at eBay, have joined its board of directors.

Altice N.V. and Altice USA Witness Board and Leadership Changes amid Debt Concerns. Altice NV CEO Michel Combes, 55, resigned, with founder Patrick Drahi, 54,  returning as president. Dexter Goei, 46, was named as CEO and will also continue as CEO and chairman of Altice USA. CEO of Videotron Manon Brouillette, 48, was named to the Altice USA Board. 

Palo Alto Networks’ CFO Leaves Exec Role and Board Membership. Palo Alto Networks announced the resignation of Steffan Tomlinson, 44, as EVP, CFO,  and board member.

CA Technologies Appoints Jean M. Hobby, 56, to Board. Currently, she serves on the boards of Texas Instruments Incorporated and Integer Holdings Corporation. Former Global Strategy Officer at PwC.

Seagate Technology named Judy Bruner, 58, to the company’s board. Ms. Bruner has over 35 years of financial management experience in the high technology industry and deep experience with compliance and enterprise risk management. Most recently she served as EVP of administration and CFO of SanDisk Corporation.

ANSYS Appoints Alec Gallimore, 53, to the Board. Gallimore holds several posts at the University of Michigan, including the Robert J. Vlasic Dean of Engineering, the Chief Academic and Executive Officer of Michigan Engineering.  He is also director of the NASA-funded Michigan Space Grant Consortium and co-director of the Plasmadynamics and Electric Propulsion Laboratory.

AMD Appoints Former CEO of Micron Technology Mark Duncan, 56, as Director.

Financial Services Solutions Provider Broadridge Appoints Pamela L. Carter to Board. Pamela L. Carter, 68, is the retired President of Cummins Distribution Business.

The Sage Group plc Appoints its Current President as Board Member. D. Blair Crump, 56, joined the board as an executive director. Crump joined the for the accounting software maker in August 2016 as President.

Randhir Thakur to Resign as Director of Marvell Technology Group. Dr. Randhir Thakur, 55, EVP and GM, of the Silicon Systems Group at Applied Materials resigns from Marvell’s Board.  

Trimble Appoints Johan Wibergh, 54, to its Board. Wibergh is the group technology officer and CIO of Vodafone.

Singapore based Flex Appoints Jennifer Li to Board. Flex, the Sketch-to-Scale™ solutions provider that designs and builds Intelligent Products for a Connected World, named Jennifer Li, a seasoned, international exec with extensive experience in China, automotive, and multiple technology sectors, to the company's Board. Current CEO and General Managing Director of Baidu Capital.

ITV plc Appoints Margaret Ewing as Non-Executive Director. Previously she was a Managing Partner of Deloitte and Group CFO of BAA plc and Trinity Mirror plc. 

Amdocs Elects Ariane de Rothschild to Board. Amdocs, the leading software, services provider to communications and media companies, names Ariane de Rothschild as director. Rothschild is President of the Executive Committee of Edmond de Rothschild since 2015, and VP of the Edmond de Rothschild Holding SA since 1999.

Caesars Entertainment Announces Resignation of Marilyn Spiegel, 64, as Director. Former General Manager and Regional President of five Caesars Entertainment properties.

Match Group Appoints New CEO to board. Current Americas Chief Amanda (Mandy) Ginsberg, 48, is named CEO and board member of Match Group.

F5 Networks Accepts Resignation of Stephen M. Smith, 60, from His Position as Director. Smith has been an Independent Director of F5 Networks since January 2013.

Carl Icahn wages war against Xerox, wants to replace CEO and Nominates Four Board Members. Former Icahn MD Jonathan Christodoro quit Xerox's board on Friday, paving the way for Carl Icahn to name four board members and calls for CEO resignation.  Icahn owns 9.7 percent of Xerox, which split into two companies last year:  Conduent, which contains its business services units, and Xerox, the equipment maker. Icahn's new slate of nominees includes Christodoro; Keith Cozza, also associated with Icahn; Jay Firestone, the CEO of Prodigy Pictures, and Randolph Read, the CEO of Nevada Strategic Credit Investments, an investment fund.

SINA Corporation Appoints New Directors. SINA has appointed James Jianzhang Liang, Chairman of International, as an independent director of the company. The board approved the election of Brett Krause, 49, Managing Partner of PurpleSky Capital and Thomas Manning, 61, former CEO of Cerberus Asia Operations & Advisory Limited as directors.

Godaddy Announces Board Changes. Richard H. Kimball, 60, notified the board of his resignation as a member of the Board. The Board appointed Mark Garrett, 59, to fill the vacancy created. Garrett is EVP and CFO at Adobe.

Tyler Technologies Announces Resignation of Larry D. Leinweber, 75, President and Founder of The Ascent Group, as Board Member.

Tableau Software Appoints Gerri Martin-Flickinger as Director. Martin-Flickinger is EVP and CTO at Starbucks. Former CIO at Adobe.

Tele2 Group Director Irina Hemmers to Depart. Irina Hemmers, 45, will decline re-election to the board of Tele2 Group. She was elected to the board in 2014. Her earlier assignments include Non-Executive Director of Trader Corporation, Trader Media Group, Top Right Group and Hit Entertainment as well as partner at Eight Roads and Apax Partners.

TripAdvisor Appoints Jay C. Hoag, 59, to the Board. Hoag has been the Founding General Partner of Technology Crossover Ventures since June 1995.

MegaFon Announces Board Changes. The board approved the election of Evgeny Bystrykh as chairman of the board. The company also elected the following candidates to the Board - Maxim Nikolaevich Anipkin, Alexey Vladimirovich Antonyuk, Evgeny Aleksandrovich Bystrykh, Jarkko Armas Veijalainen, Alexander Yurievich Esikov, Pavel Sergeevich Kaplun, Eerik Harri Koponen, Alexander Anatolievich Ushkov, and Natalya Viktorovna Chumachenko. 

Rightmove plc Appoints Top Media Analyst and Investment Adviser as Non-Executive Director. The UK base property portal Rightmove plc named Lorna Tilbian as a non-executive director. Lorna was an executive director and Head of the Media Sector in Corporate Broking & Advisory at Numis Corporation PLC until September 2017.

Cypress Semiconductor Appoints Jeannine Sargent to Board of Directors. Sargent, 53, brings 30 years of experience encompassing leadership, operations, marketing and engineering roles within a diverse mix of high tech component and systems companies and her most recent role being President of Innovation and New Ventures at Flex, a leading contract design, engineering and manufacturing company.

athenahealth Appoints Jeffrey Immelt, 60, to the Board and as the Chairman. Former Chair and CEO of GE.

Sabre Corporation Announces Board Changes. Hervé Couturier, 59, former EVP, R&D, at Amadeus Larry Kellner, 58, former CEO of Continental airlines moves from Exec Chair to non Exec Chair.

Nutanix Appoints Craig Conway and Sue Bostrom as Board Members. Conway served as President and CEO of PeopleSoft. Bostrom served as EVP, Chief Marketing Officer and Worldwide Government Affairs of Cisco Systems.

Alibaba Health Information Technology’s Board Member to Step Down. Ms. Aizhu Huang, 49, has tendered her resignation as a non- executive Director of the Company. She is former Senior Director of Tmall.

Nuance Communications Appoints New Directors. Laura Kaiser, President and CEO of SSM Health, has joined Nuance’s Board of Directors.  Sanjay Vaswani, Managing Partner of the Center for Corporate Innovation, too joins the board. 

Infor Names VMware COO to Board. Infor appointed Sanjay Poonen, 47, to its board of directors. Poonen replaces Daniel Haspel who has left the board of directors. Poonen has served as VMware’s COO, Customer Operations since October 2016.

Uber Technologies Announce Board Appointments After SoftBank Deal. A group of investors led by SoftBank Group closed a deal with Uber Technologies, making SoftBank the largest stakeholder in the ride-hailing firm and providing a much-needed boost to controversy-ridden Uber. SoftBank has added two representatives to Uber's board: Rajeev Misra, who is CEO of SoftBank's Vision Fund, and Marcelo Claure, Sprint president and CEO and a member of SoftBank's board. As part of the terms of the deal, the company will add four independent directors to its board; limit some early shareholders' voting power and slash the control wielded by co-founder and former CEO Travis Kalanick, who remains on the board.

Changes on Software Boards

NCR Corporation Elects New Director. NCR elected Deborah A. Farrington, 67, co-founder and general partner of StarVest Partners, L.P. and president of StarVest Management. The Board also elected Matthew Thompson, 58, EVP of field operations for Adobe, to the company's board. Edward P. Boykin, 78, gave notice of his resignation from the Board.

Blackbaud Announces Resignation of David Golden, 58, as Director and Appointment of Thomas R. Ertel as a new Director. Ertel was a partner at Ernst & Young from June 2002 through June 2017.

SYNNEX Corporation Announces Board Changes. Kevin Murai will retire from his position of president CEO and will become chairman of the board. Dennis polk, current COO, will become president and CEO and will remain on the board. Dwight steffensen will become lead independent director. 

Zendesk Appoints Mike Frandsen, 55, currently executive director of products at Workday, to Board. Long time director, Peter Fenton, 44, is leaving the board.

Sophos Group plc Announces Resignation of Salim Nathoo, 46, as Non-Executive Director.

2U Appoints Valerie Jarrett to Board of Directors. Valerie Jarrett, 61, is a respected and acclaimed civic leader, business executive and attorney who most recently held the role of the longest-serving senior advisor to President Barack Obama where she oversaw the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs and chaired the White House Council on Women and Girls.

TIBCO Software Appoints Board Members. TIBCO Software appointed Donna Troy and Michael Klayko to its board of directors. Troy has held executive roles throughout her career with companies, including IBM, McAfee, SAP, Dell, and Epicor Software. 

Klayko is former CEO of Brocade and former CEO and president of Rhapsody Networks, acquired by Brocade.

Ciena Corporation Appoints William D. Fathers to Board of Directors. Fathers, 48, serves as the Senior Operating Partner of Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.

MuleSoft Taps Current CEO of Airware as Director. MuleSoft, provider of the leading platform for building application networks, appointed Yvonne Wassenaar, 48, CEO of Airware, to its board of directors. Prior to Airware, Wassenaar served as the CIO of New Relic. 

SAIC Appoints Mark J. Johnson, 44, as Member of Board. Johnson is currently the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Astra Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Astra Capital Management in 2014, Johnson was a Managing Director and Global Partner at the Carlyle Group.

Mark H. Mishler, 59, resigned from the board of directors of Paylocity, the cloud-based payroll and human capital management (HCM) software company, for personal reasons.

Cloudera Appoints Rosemary Schooler to its Board. Schooler is VP and General Manager of Global Internet of Things (IoT) Sales for Intel.

Commvault Appoints YY Lee to Board of Directors. Lee is recently retired CEO of FirstRain.

Silver Lake MD joins Cornerstone OnDemand Board along with a Strategic Investment; Announces Other Board Moves. The cloud-based learning and talent management solutions provider appointed Joseph Osnos, 39, to the Board. Osnos is Managing Director of Silver Lake Partners, the global leader in technology investing which made a $300 million strategic investment in Cornerstone, along with LinkedIn.

Long-tenured directors Mark Baker, Hal Burlingame and Joe Payne announced their plans to retire from the board. The company plans to separate the chairman and CEO roles when a new chairman is appointed. Adam Miller, who currently serves as both chairman and CEO of the company, will continue to serve as a director and CEO once the appointment is made.

Cloud-Based Software Platform Provider Names Michelle K. Lee as Director. Ms. Lee, 52, is the Herman Phleger Visiting Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, where she teaches disruptive technologies and intellectual property. 

ThoughtWorks Names New Board Members to Drive Next Phase of Growth. ThoughtWorks, a global software development and digital transformation consultancy, named Jane Chwick, 54, and Dr. Anita Sands, 41, to board. Ms. Chwick was a partner at Goldman Sachs where she had a 30-year career in technology, most recently as Co-COO of the technology division. 

Dr. Sands is former Head of Transformation for Global Technology and Operations at Citigroup, and COO of UBS Wealth Management. She is also an active investor.

Hexaware Technologies Appoints P. R. Chandrasekar, 62, as Independent Director. He is former CEO of the company.

Five9’s Chair/CEO to Hold Only Exec Chair Role. Mike Burkland, Chairman, President and CEO, will be transitioning to become executive chairman only in order to focus more of his time on his health and family. In October 2017, Burkland was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and will be undergoing aggressive treatment over the next several months.

Identity Governance Software Solutions Firm SailPoint Technologies Appoints Michael J. Sullivan to Board. Sullivan previously served as CFO at Ping Identity.

Extreme Networks, provider of software-driven networking solutions, appointed Maryam Alexandrian-Adams to Board. Ms. Alexandrian-Adams previously served as VP Global Sales, Channels and Field Operations at Dell Computer from 2012 to 2016. 

Bernard Liautaud, 55, Chairman of Talend S.A., has resigned from the Board. Liautaud's term on the Board was scheduled to expire in 2018.

PROS Holdings Names Seasoned Entrepreneur, CEO, and Board Member to Board. PROS Holdings, the cloud software company powering the shift to modern commerce, appointed Penny Herscher, 56, to its board of directors. Herscher previously served as CEO for FirstRain, a privately held company in the unstructured data analytics space, from 2005 to 2015.

QAD Announces Board Changes. Leslie Stretch, a director of QAD, the cloud ERP software for manufacturers, and the CEO of Callidus Software resigns from the board, as a result of the pending acquisition of Callidus by SAP America. 

Tabula Rasa Healthcare Announces Board Changes. Daniel Lubin, a Managing Partner and co-founder of Radius Ventures, LL, an affiliate of certain early venture capital investors of Tabula Rasa HealthCare, gave notice of his resignation from the Board.

Other Board Changes

Eric C. Olsen, 53, resigns as a Member of Supervisory Board of Cimpress N.V. Olsen had served as a member of the Supervisory Board since March 2013.Jabil nominated Christopher Holland for election to the Jabil Board. Holland has been SVP and CFO of C.R. Bard, a multinational developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical technologies and products, since May 2012. 

ViaSat Appoints Sean Pak as Director. Pak has been a partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP since 2009, and he currently serves as the Co-Chair of its National Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

Cable One Combines Chair-CEO Role. Cable One elected Julia M. Laulis, President and CEO, as Chair upon the retirement of Executive Chairman Thomas O. Might. Might will continue to serve as a member of the Company’s Board following his retirement.

CoreLogic appointed Claudia Fan Munce and Vikrant Raina to its Board. Munce, 58, is Venture Advisor of New Enterprise Associates. Raina, 50, is Managing Director and Managing Partner at BV Investment Partners.

Brocade Communications Systems Merges with Broadcom; Announces Board Changes. Jack Rondoni, SVP & GM of the Brocade’s Storage Networking Division joined board.

Stamps.Com Announces Lloyd I. Miller, 62, Resigned from the Company's Board. Former Western Region Director of Business Development at CBIZ.

Belden Appoints Director with Strong Background in Digital Marketing, Enterprise Transformation and Go To Market Strategy.  Networking, connectivity and cable products company Belden appointed Diane Brink as a Director. Ms. Brink currently serves as a senior fellow and adjunct professor at Kellogg School of Management Markets and Customers Initiative, Northwestern University and as a management consultant. Most recently was CMO for IBM Global Technology Services.

Cotiviti Holdings Appoints R. Halsey Wise, 52, to Board. He most recently served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of MedAssets.

Groupon announced that Deborah Wahl, 55, will join its Board - Wahl, a long time senior marketing executive, most recently served as SVP and CMO at McDonald’s, USA. 

Bryan Taylor, 47, Resigns from Box's Board. He is formerly a partner of TPG Capital.

Cloud-based web development platform Appoints Deirdre Bigley, 52, as Director - Bigley currently serves as CMO of Bloomberg, which she joined in 2009. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she spent thirteen years at IBM.

Carl Sparks, 49, Resigns as Director of Vonage Holdings. Sparks joined Board of Vonage in 2011. He is the CEO and a Director of Academic Partnerships since April 2016. 

Finisar Corporation Announces Board Changes. Chairman and CEO Jerry Rawls will retire and Michael Hurlston named CEO and director.  Hurlston most recently served as a SVP and GM, Mobile Connectivity Products/Wireless Communications and Connectivity Division at Broadcom. Appoints Bala Subramanian as Non-Executive Director. Subramanian is currently the chief digital officer of Best Buy and previously served as its CTO. 

GTT Communications Appoints New Director. Cloud networking firm GTT Communications elected Julius Erving to board. Erving is founder and managing member of Dr. J Enterprises, which owns and manages the merchandising, media and philanthropic aspects of the Julius “Dr. J” Erving brand.

 Verifone Appointed Dr. Ronald Black and Larry Klane to Board. Dr. Black is former CEO and President of Rambus. Larry A. Klane is a Co-Founding Principal at Pivot Investment Partners LLC, an investment firm founded in 2014. Eitan Raff has resigned, following a 10-year tenure as a member of Verifone's Board.

ManTech Separates Chair/CEO Roles. George J. Pedersen, the company’s Chairman and CEO, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. The company has promoted Kevin M. Phillips to serve as the company’s new CEO.

Sanmina Named William DeLaney to Board. DeLaney has over 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, operations and management with Sysco Corporation, most recently as CEO of the Company.

Mimecast Announces Board Changes. Mimecast elected Stephen M. Ward to board. He is current CISO of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America. Geraldine (Gerri) Elliott has also joined its Board. Elliott is the former Chief Customer Officer of Juniper Networks and founder of Norman Fiore will resign as a member of the Board. 

CFO of Spredfast Lynn Atchison joins Cloud-based digital banking solutions firm Q2 Holdings as Board Member & other Hires. Atchison is CFO of Spredfast , the leading independent social marketing software provider. Q2 also announced the resignation of Battery Ventures Partner, Michael M. Brown, 45, as a Board Member. 

Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC Appoints Couple of Board Members. Euromoney appointed Wendy Pallot, 52, as CFO and to the Board. Pallot is currently Group Finance Director of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. Ms. Pallot is also the non-executive Chair and co-founder of a company which operates local radio stations, and a Governor of the Central School of Ballet.

Euromoney also named Imogen Joss, 54, an independent non-executive director of the company. Joss served as the President of S&P Global Platts since September 2015 until September 2016.

Presidio Announces Board Appointments. The board elected Heather Berger and Michael A. Reiss to serve as directors of the company. Ms. Berger is currently a partner of Apollo, where she oversees marketing, client relations and business development for the firm’s Private Equity business. Reiss is currently a principal of Apollo, where he has been employed since 2008.

u-blox Announces Board Changes. Fritz Fahrni, Chairman of the Board, for reason of his age will not present himself as a candidate for re-election as a Board Member. Director Andr- M-ller will be proposed for election as Chairman. Ulrich Looser will be proposed for election as non-executive director to join the Board. Founder of Berg Looser Rauber & Partners in 2009.

Talktalk Telecom Group PLC Appoints Nigel Langstaff as Non-Executive Director. Former CFO, Carphone Warehouse.

Softcat’s New CEO to Join Board. Softcat plc announced that Graeme Watt is to join the Board as CEO. He previously spent six years at Bell and his earlier career included roles at Tech Data.

First Derivatives plc Announces the Appointment of Donna Troy as A Non-Executive Director. Troy has held executive roles throughout her career with companies, including IBM, McAfee, SAP, Dell, and Epicor Software, where her demonstrated global leadership and general management experience drove success for several business units and groups.

Diebold Nixdorf Witnesses Board Changes. Gary G. Greenfield, 62, will become Chairman of the Board, and Henry D.G. Wallace, 71, will at that time step down from his role as Chairman and will remain on the Board. Andreas W. Mattes, 56, resigned as a member of the Diebold Nixdorf’s board.

Insight Enterprises Appoints Girish Rishi, 48, to Board. Rishi currently serves as CEO at JDA Software.

Fidessa Group Director Departs. Trading and investment management systems provider Fidessa group plc announced that Elizabeth Lake, 75, has stepped down from its board. President of Securities Processing Solutions International at Broadridge Financial Solutions.

Systemax Announces Board Changes. Marie Adler-Kravecas, 57, a member of the Board, is resigning. Former President at Myron Corporation.

Evolent Health Announces the Resignation of Michael Kirshbaum as Director. Served as Director since 2015 for the healthcare delivery and payment solutions provider.

Quotient Technology, formerly, Appoints Michelle Mckenna-Doyle to its Board. McKenna-Doyle has served as SVP and CIO of the NFL since September 2012. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of RingCentral and comScore.

Cray Appoints Director with Tech Industry and Finance Experience. The board elected Catriona M. Fallon, 46, as a director of supercomputer company Cray. Current SVP and Segment Head of Marketing and former CFO of Silver Spring Networks. Martin Homlish to leave board.

Liberty Interactive Appoints HSN’s Board Member to its Own Board after HSN Acquisition. Liberty Interactive Corporation completed its acquisition of HSN and appointed Fiona Dias, 51, a director of HSNi, to the board of directors of Liberty Interactive. Principal Digital Partner at Ryan Retail Consulting and former Chief Strategy Officer of ShopRunner.

Serco Appoints Retired Navy Vice Admiral to its Board. The provider of professional, technology, and management services and its subsidiary of Serco Group plc, announced that Carol Pottenger, 62, has been appointed to the Board of its U.S. business. Pottenger has a distinguished 36 year career with the Navy and has been one of the first women selected for sea duty. 

UK Based Online Retailer AO World plc Appoints Director with Digital Media Experience. AO World plc announced that Jacqueline de Rojas has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director. Jacqueline is the President of techUK and the chair of the Digital Leaders board. 

Spirent Communications Names New Directors. UK based telecom testing company Spirent Communications plc named Wendy Koh and Edgar Masri as directors.  Wendy Koh is currently VP, Pathways, Alliance and Strategy APAC with NetApp Singapore. Edgar Masri has had extensive experience in senior international executive and advisory roles including President and CEO of Qualtre, and President and CEO of 3Com Corporation.

NCC Group Long Time Board Member Steps Down. Cyber security services firm NCC Group plc announced that in line with best practice, after nine years' tenure, Debbie Hewitt MBE, 54, Senior Independent Director, will resign and step down from the Board.

SMART Global Holdings Announces Resignation of James Davidson, 57, as Director. Co-CEO, Managing Partner and Managing Director at Silver Lake. Davidson Co-Founded of Silver Lake in 1999.

SoLocal Group Announces Director Changes. Digital local communication services provider SoLocal Group announced the resignation of Monica Menghini and Marie-Christine Levet as new Director.

Nanometrics’ New CEO Joins Board. Nanometrics, a leading provider of advanced, high-performance process control metrology and inspection systems used primarily in the fabrication of semiconductors, etc, appointed Pierre-Yves Lesaicherre as a director and as its new President and CEO. Former CEO Dr. Timothy Stultz will retire but will continue to be a director of Nanometrics.

Zensar Technologies Appoints Former Schneider Electric Exec as Board Member. The board approved the appointment of Ms. Tanuja Randery, 50, as an additional as well as independent non-executive director of the India based digital solutions company. She is former CEO, UK & Ireland for Schneider Electric.

VASCO® Data Security International Appoints Art Gilliland as New Independent Director. Art is currently CEO of Skyport Systems.

Former CFO of CyrusOne and StackPath Joins Switch's Board. Data center provider Switch appointed Kimberly Sheehy, 52, to its Board of Directors. As the former CFO of CyrusOne, Mrs. Sheehy has vast experience in the multitenant datacenter market. She is also former CFO of StackPath.

Glu Mobile Appoints Former EA and Tesla’s HR Leader as Director. Glu Mobile, the developer and publisher of mobile games for smartphone and tablet devices, appointed Gabrielle Toledano, 50, to the company’s board. Toledano has been the Chief People Officer of and spent 10 years at Electronic Arts, most recently as the company’s Chief Talent Officer and EVP.

Tony Florence, 49, resigned from the Board of Directors of He is General Partner at New Enterprise Associates. The Board elected Daniel Yoo, former COO of NerdWallet, as a director of the Company.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.
