About Federated Identity
Federated Identity allows enterprises and service providers to securely link and exchange identity information across partner, supplier and customer organizations. Federation takes an open, standards-based approach that eliminates the cost overruns, security loopholes, and user inconvenience caused by rigid, proprietary, "silo-ed" application architectures. Federated Identity has become a key initiative and competitive differentiator for Global 2000 businesses.
Ping Identity's flagship product, PingFederate v2.0, is an advanced identity federation gateway for implementing the "SAML" (Security Assertion Markup Language) protocol for extended enterprise security, web SSO, and portal and business partner integration. Under the "PingFederate Now" program, users can download, install and use PingFederate for both internal and external federation completely risk-free. Leveraging PingFederate, enterprises can enable seamless application, user and directory integration and web single sign-on across different departments, security domains and business partners through federation's light-weight, loosely-coupled approach. PingFederate is unique in its delivery of simplified integration, administration, integrated security services, and flexible "pay as you succeed" pricing.
