Vell Recruits President and CEO for Ai Squared - Software for the Visually Impaired

MANCHESTER, Vt., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Ai Squared, the worldwide leader in screen magnification software and developer of accessibility software for the low vision community, has appointed David Wu as CEO and President of the company.

Mr. Wu will be responsible for Ai Squared's entire enterprise strategy and its worldwide development and expansion. Mr. Wu is a dynamic leader bringing over 20 years of experience developing technology-based entrepreneurial ventures from concept to commercial success. Prior to joining Ai Squared, Mr. Wu was President and an early member of Space Data Corporation in Chandler, AZ a provider of wireless data and voice telecommunications servicing customers in underserved rural and remote regions. Additionally, he was President and a founding member of Mirror Image Internet, a pioneer in global content delivery networks, where he was instrumental in attracting over $700 million in investments and achieving liquidity for its investors.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wu sold shrink wrapped software and hardware products at VideoGuide (sold to Gemstar TV Guide), a pioneer of digital video recorders (DVRs) where he was Vice President of Marketing and at Intel where he was the marketing manager for video and document conferencing products. He started his career as an electrical/software engineer at General Scanning and at Analog Devices. Mr. Wu earned his MBA from Harvard University and both his BSEE and MSEE/CS from MIT where he wrote his thesis on machine vision algorithms.

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members.
