Kleiner Perkins’ Chief Product Officer Resigns from Amazon Board; Appoints Head of Its Seattle Game-Production Studio
William B. Gordon, 66, resigned as a director of Amazon after fourteen years on the board. Gordon stepped down so he could provide consulting services to the company for two years. Gordon is currently the Chief Product Officer at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Bing also leads KPCB’s sFund, the investment initiative to fund and build applications and services that deliver on the promise of the social web.
Alphabet Appoints Well-known Economist and Former TIAA CEO to Board
Alphabet appointed Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., 64, to its Board of Directors. Ferguson is a respected leader in the economics and finance industries. Ferguson has served as the President and CEO of TIAA since April 2008. He joined TIAA after his tenure at Swiss Re, where he served as Chairman of the firm's America Holding Corporation, Head of Financial Services, and a member of the Executive Committee from 2006 to 2008.
Facebook Appoints Lowe China Chair/CEO to Lead Creative Shop
Facebook appointed Kitty Lun as the Greater China head of Creative Shop, Facebook for business’ inhouse agency. Lun, was most recently the Chairman and CEO of Lowe China.
Intel Security CTO joins Blue Coat as COO
CTO Michael Fey has left Intel Security Group to become President & COO at Blue Coat Systems, a privately owned network security company. He was EVP, CTO, and general manager of corporate products at Intel Security. Fey also managed business operations and strategy for corporate product business units at McAfee, part of Intel Security. Previously, Fey was SVP of advanced technologies and field engineering with McAfee. An industry veteran, Fey has held leadership positions with Opsware, Mercury Interactive, and Lockheed-Martin.
