Comcast Appoints Children's Hospital CEO Madeline Bell to the Board of Directors

Madeline Bell was appointed to Comcast Corporation's Board of Directors. Bell has been the President and CEO of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia since July 2015 and, prior to that, had been its President and COO since 2010.

Universal Health Services Appoints Penn Mutual’s CEO to Board

Hospital management company, Universal Health Services, appointed Eileen C. McDonnell, 50, to its Board of Directors. McDonnell currently serves as President and CEO of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company since 2011. She joined Penn Mutual in 2008 and previously served as President of the company. McDonnell was also appointed to The Penn Mutual Board of Trustees in 2010. Before joining Penn Mutual, she founded ExecMPower, a strategic planning and executive coaching consultancy. Previously, she was president of New England Financial, a wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife, and SVP of the Guardian Life Insurance Company.

C. Kim Goodwin, 52, is resigning from the Board of Akamai Technologies. Goodwin is a private investor since 2008. She is the former Managing Director and Head of Equities (Global), Asset Management Division of Credit Suisse Group, and former Chief Investment Officer of Equities for State Street Research Management. She is the Trustee Director of various equity funds within the Allianz Global Investors family of funds since 2010.

ARM Holdings Witnesses CEO Succession

ARM Holdings’ CEO Warren East, 51, has decided to retire, after nearly twelve years as CEO and nineteen outstanding years at the company. Simon Segars, 45, currently President of ARM, will become the company's new CEO. Warren East joined ARM in 1994 to establish the company's consulting business and later became VP of business operations. Within three years he was appointed to the Board as COO. Warren became ARM's CEO in 2001 and under his leadership ARM has become the foremost designer of semiconductor IP in the world, providing processor technology for nearly all mobile phones and network devices and storage, with many other consumer and industrial electronic devices.
