NCR Names Frank Martire as Executive Chairman and Michael Hayford as CEO
NCR Corporation has named Frank Martire, 69, as Executive Chairman. Martire most recently served as non-executive chairman of FIS till last year. He served as CEO of FIS after acquisition of Metavante, where he served as CEO before the acquisition.

Alphabet Names Board Veteran as Chairman to Succeed Schmidt. Alphabet appointed John L. Hennessy, 65, former President of Stanford University, to serve as Executive Chair of Alphabet’s Board. Hennessy has served on the Board since April 2004 and Lead Independent Director since April 2007. Eric Schmidt, 62, becomes technical advisor to the company while continuing to serve on its board. Alphabet said that Canadian-born Shirley M. Tilghman, 71, 19th President of Princeton University, also retired from the board effective Feb. 15, 2018.

Sanofi Names Former CEO of Dassault Systems as Newest Board Member
Sanofi appointed Bernard Charls as new independent Director. Charls has served since May 2016 as Vice-Chairman and CEO of Dassault Systems. He has been CEO of Dassault Systems since September 1995. He joined the company in 1983 and created the New Technology, Research and Strategy division, before being appointed Director for Strategy, Research and Development in 1988. Bernard Charl s is a member of the Academy of Technology (France) and of the National Academy of Engineering (United States).
Adobe CAO to Retire
Adobe announced that retirement of Richard Rowley as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Adobe following 10 years of service. Rowley currently expects to remain in his role until January 31, 2017. Rowley has been the Chief Accounting Officer, VP and Controller at Adobe since November 2006. Rowley was previously employed as Treasurer, CAO, VP & Controller by Synopsys.
Teradata Appoints Co-Presidents to Address Opportunities in its Two Biggest Markets
Teradata, the big data analytics and marketing applications company, appointed Robert E. (Bob) Fair, 52, and Hermann Wimmer, 50, as co-presidents, reporting to CEO Mike Koehler, to better align the company for growth in its major markets. Bob Fair will lead the Teradata Marketing Applications Division and Hermann Wimmer will lead the Teradata Data and Analytics Division. Each division will be an integrated global business.
Larry Ellison Steps Down as Oracle CEO to accept Chairman and CTO Roles; Mark Hurd and Safra Catz Named Co-CEOs
Lawrence J. “Larry” Ellison, 70, is stepping down from his position as CEO of Oracle, to become the company's Executive Chairman and CTO. Oracle promoted both Co-Presidents Safra Ada Catz, 52, and Mark Vincent Hurd, 57, as Co-CEOs, to replace Ellison. Jeff O. Henley, 69, Oracle’s Chairman for the last 10 years, was named Vice Chairman.
Target Hires Former Homeland Security Tech Adviser as New CIO after Massive Data Breach Last Year
Target has named Robert P. “Bob” DeRodes, 62, as its new EVP & CIO. He replaces Beth M. Jacob, 51, who abruptly left in early March, after a massive data breach last year. DeRodes assumes responsibility for Target’s data security efforts, as well as the development of Target’s long-term IT and digital roadmap. He has been a senior IT advisor for the Center for CIO Leadership, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Justice.
Walt Disney Taps Square's CEO for Board
The Walt Disney Company has added Jack Dorsey, 37, chairman of Twitter and CEO of Square, as a member of its board of directors. Jack Dorsey is the creator, co-founder, and Chairman of Twitter and co-founder & CEO of Square.
Facebook COO Joins Company's Board
Facebook added COO Sheryl Sandberg, 42, to the company's board of directors. Sandberg oversees Facebook's business operations including sales, marketing, business development, legal, human resources, public policy and communications. Prior to Facebook, Sandberg was VP of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, where she built and managed the online sales channels for advertising and publishing and operations for consumer products worldwide. She previously served as Chief of Staff for the United States Treasury Department under President Bill Clinton and began her career as an economist with the World Bank. Sandberg also serves on the boards of The Walt Disney Company, Women for Women International, the Center for Global Development and V-Day.
