Bell Canada Enterprises Names Former CPP Investment Board CEO as New Director
Bell Canada Enterprises appointed David F. Denison, 60, as a Director of BCE and Bell Canada. Mr. Denison has served as President and CEO of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Investment Board. Prior to his appointment to the CPP Investment Board, he was President of Fidelity Investments Canada. He serves as a Director at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and as a member of the World Bank Treasury Expert Advisory Committee. He is a director of The United Way of Greater Toronto, and a member of the Toronto Community Foundation Investment Committee and the University of Toronto Investment Advisory Committee.
Apple Witnesses Management Reshuffle to Increase Collaboration Across Hardware, Software & Services
Apple has made major management restructuring for its executive team. Among the biggest changes are the immediate departure of retail chief John Browett and a 2013 exit for iOS chief Scott Forstall. As part of the restructuring, Jony Ive, Bob Mansfield, Eddy Cue, and Craig Federighi are all taking on increased responsibilities.
Oracle Veteran Assumes CFO Title
Oracle announced that Oracle President Safra Catz, 49, will assume the additional responsibility of CFO. Catz's appointment follows the resignation of the company's current CFO, Jeff Epstein, 53. The company announced that Catz's appointment is permanent. Catz joined Oracle Corporation in April 1999 and has been President since January 2004. She has been a member of Oracle's Board of Directors since October 2001. She previously served as the company's CFO from November 2005 to September 2008. Catz also serves as a non-executive Director of HSBC Group, a position she has held since May 2008. Prior to Oracle, Katz worked for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as a Managing Director.
