Hertz Appoints Recently Retired UPS Chief Information and Global Business Services Officer to Board
David Barnes, 60, who recently announced his retirement from United Parcel Service, where he served as SVP, chief information and global business services officer, was elected as a new member of the Hertz board. Barnes is continuing with UPS in a transitional capacity. He also chaired the UPS Information Technology Governance Committee, which is responsible for overseeing the direction of UPS technology investments.

Facebook appointed Kitty Lun as the Greater China head of Creative Shop, Facebook for business’ inhouse agency. Lun, was most recently the Chairman and CEO of Lowe China.
Oracle Adds Former Defense Secretary as Director; Appoints President and Head of Office Retail
Oracle elected the Honorable Leon Panetta, 76, former U.S. Secretary of Defense and former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, to the company's Board. Secretary Panetta served in the Obama Administration as U.S. Secretary of Defense from 2011 to 2013 and as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 2009 to 2011. Previously, he was White House Chief of Staff and Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Bill Clinton, and member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing California's 16th district.
Procter & Gamble Appoints Beauty Segment Leader as Global President for e-business
Deb Henretta, 53, formerly the group president of global beauty, has been named the global president for e-business at Procter & Gamble. Henretta served as Group President of Global Beauty Care; Group President, Asia and Global Specialty Channel; Group President of Asia as her most recent roles. Before that she had responsibility of ASEAN, Baby Care, Fabric Conditioners, Laundry Products, etc. She has been a Director of Corning since 2013.
SAP’s CMO Named Company's First Chief Digital Officer
SAP named its CMO Jonathan Becher, 49, as the company's first Chief Digital Officer to lead the company's new digital business unit. Becher, a technology and marketing expert, joined SAP during the 2007 acquisition of Pilot Software, where he was president-CEO. Prior to leading Pilot Software, Becher was president-CEO of Accrue Software, a provider of web analytics, and president-CEO of NeoVista Software, a predictive analytics and data mining company.
Google Names Red Hat CTO as VP, Cloud Platforms
Brian Stevens, 50, who stepped down as EVP and CTO of Red Hat recently, has joined Google to lead its cloud platforms. Stevens had been with Red Hat since 2001. Stevens served as the CTO and VP of Engineering of JBoss, a division of Red Hat. Before joining the company, he had been the CTO at Mission Critical Linux, and a senior Architect at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), where he worked on Digital's UNIX operating system.
Dell CMO Joins Board of Climate Control Solutions Company
Lennox International, provider of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets, named Karen H. Quintos, 56, as a member of its board. Quintos is the SVP and CMO of Dell. She joined Dell in 2000 from Citigroup, where she served as VP of global operations and technology. She also spent 12 years with Merc., where she held a variety of roles in marketing, planning, operations and supply chain.
Cisco Exec Joins Comcast as SVP, Premises Technology
Comcast appoints Ken Klaer as Senior Vice President, Premises Technology, leading the team that develops innovative CPE devices used to deliver Comcast's video, voice, data and cross-platform applications in customers' homes. Klaer comes to Comcast from Cisco, where he most recently was part of their Service Provider Video Technology Group as Senior Director, Business Development Connected Devices BU. Prior to that he held key senior management roles at Scientific Atlanta, which was acquired by Cisco.
Google’s SVP, Social Leaves
Vic Gundotra, Google’s SVP, Social, leading Google+ has left. He has been leading Google+, Google's social network, since it launched in 2011. He joined Google eight years ago, initially leading developer relations. Prior to joining Google, Gundotra was at Microsoft. Gundotra joined Microsoft in 1991 and eventually became GM of Platform Evangelism.
Annaly Capital Management’s New CTO Comes from Harvard Management
Financial services firm Annaly Capital Management appointed Michael Maffattone as the CTO. Most recently, Maffattone was the CTO of investment management company Harvard Management Company and prior to that was CIO of Caxton Associates.
