HP’s CEO Adds on Chair Role and Makes Other Board Changes 

Hewlett-Packard CEO and President Meg Whitman, 57, was additionally appointed as Chairman, after the resignation of Ralph Whitworth, 59, for health reasons. Before joining HP, Whitman served as a part-time strategic advisor to Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers. Previously, she was President and CEO of eBay and held executive-level positions at Hasbro, a toy company, FTD, a floral products company, The Stride Rite Corporation, a footwear company, The Walt Disney Company, an entertainment company, and Bain & Company, a consulting company. Whitman also serves as a director of The Procter & Gamble Company and Zipcar. 

RBS's ex-boss in US, Ellen Alemany, Joins FIS’ Board

Fidelity National Information Services appoints Ellen Alemany, 58, to its board. A former head of RBS Americas, and Chair and CEO of RBS' Citizens Financial Group, Alemany has more than 35 years of experience in the financial industry. In 2007, Alemany joined as Head of RBS Americas, and Chair and CEO of RBS' Citizens Financial Group, and served as a consultant to the company until her retirement in 2013. Beginning as Area Head of Citibank's NY Leveraged Capital Group, she grew to CEO of Global Transaction Services at the firm and spent five years on the board of Citigroup North America. Alemany began her career in Operations at Chase Manhattan before being recruited to Citibank in 1987. She has served on the boards of ADP since 2011 and CIT Group since early 2014.

NIKE names Gilt CEO to Board

NIKE appointed Michelle A. Peluso, 42, to serve as a Director. Peluso is CEO of Gilt, an innovative online shopping destination offering its members special access to the most inspiring merchandise and experiences every day at insider prices. Prior to joining Gilt, she served as Global Consumer Chief Marketing and Internet Officer of Citigroup and held senior management positions at Travelocity.com, being appointed COO and then as President and CEO. She founded Site59, an online travel site, serving as its CEO until its acquisition by Travelocity in 2002. 

Accenture Appoints Ahold USA’s CFO Paula A. Price as New Board Member 

Accenture appointed Paula A. Price, 52, to the company's Board. She was EVP and CFO of Ahold USA, a U.S. grocery retailer, until January 2014. Before joining Ahold in 2009, she was the controller and chief accounting officer at CVS Caremark. Earlier in her career, she was CFO for the Institutional Trust Services division of JPMorgan Chase. 

National Oilwell Varco Appoints Energy Industry Leader as New Director 

National Oilwell Varco, the provider of equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production operations, appointed Marcela E. Donadio to board. Donadio was Americas Oil & Gas Sector Leader of Ernst & Young, from which she retired in March 2014. Donadio joined Ernst & Young in 1976, serving since 1989 as audit partner for multiple companies in the oil and gas industry. She held various energy industry leadership positions until being named Americas Oil & Gas Sector Leader in 2007. 

Connectivity Solutions Giant Appoints Retired Southwest Airlines’ CFO as Director

TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, elected Laura H. Wright, 54, to its Board. Since her retirement in 2012 as CFO of Southwest Airlines, Wright founded GSB Advisors, to provide strategic and financial consulting to growth and non-profit companies. During her 25 year career at Southwest, she served in a variety of financial roles including CFO, SVP of Finance, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. She began her career at Arthur Young & Co.

Campbell CEO Joins MetLife’s Board 

MetLife named Denise M. Morrison, 60, President and CEO of Campbell Soup since 2011, to its board of directors. Morrison joined Campbell in 2003 and has held a variety of executive positions, including EVP and COO, and President of Global Sales and Chief Customer Officer. Prior to joining Campbell, Morrison served for eight years in various leadership roles at Kraft Foods, Nestle USA, PepsiCo, and Procter & Gamble. In 2012, she was named to President Barack Obama's Export Council. 

Monotype Imaging Appoints Director with Brand Expertise and Entrepreneurial Perspective

Monotype Imaging, the company specializing in typesetting and typeface design as well as text and imaging solutions, appoints Gay Warren Gaddis, founder and CEO of the advertising agency, T3 (The Think Tank), to its board. Gaddis founded T3 in 1989, and today the company is the largest independent advertising agency owned by a woman in the U.S. Gaddis began her career as a copywriter with The Richards Group. She then served as PR director for Baylor University Medical Center; Marketing Director for Leadership Dynamicsand later became a full partner at an Austin advertising agency, before founding T3.

Royal Dutch Shell Elects Former Standard Chartered Exec and ADM CEO as Non-executive Directors

Royal Dutch Shell elected Euleen Goh and Patricia A. Woertz as Non-executive Directors. Euleen Goh is a chartered accountant with professional qualifications in banking and taxation. She is a Non-executive Director of DBS Group Holdings Ltd and DBS Bank Ltd, CapitaLand Limited and SATS Ltd. She is also Non-executive Chairman of the Singapore International Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to nurture active global citizens. Previously she held various senior management positions with Standard Chartered Bank and was CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore.
