GE Healthcare Appoints CTO for Imaging
Amit Phadnis has been appointed VP, CTO- Imaging, GE Healthcare. In this role, Amit will drive digitization, software and cross modality initiatives across the Imaging business. Alibaba Health IT announced that Chen Xiao Ying, 53, retired from office as an executive Director and the executive vice chairman of the company. Ying has been the Executive Chairman at the Pollon Group, a private investment group, since 1989. Chen served as the CEO of Alibaba Health Information Technology Limited 2014.
McKesson and Change Healthcare Creates New Healthcare IT Company; Announces Leaders
McKesson and Change Healthcare Holdings announced the creation of a new healthcare IT company. The entity will combine substantially all of Change Healthcare’s business and the majority of McKesson Technology Solutions (MTS) into a new company. Chairman, president, and CEO of McKesson John H. Hammergren will serve as chairman. CEO and President at Change Healthcare Neil de Crescenzo will serve as CEO, joined by an experienced management team comprised of leaders from both McKesson and Change Healthcare.

Cerner announced that John Glaser will assume the role of SVP of Population Health and Global Strategy. He joined Cerner in 2015 as a part of the Siemens Heath Services acquisition, where he was CEO. Prior to Siemens, he was VP and CIO at Partners HealthCare; he also previously served as VP of information systems at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
athenahealth Names CTO from Kaseya International
athenahealth appointed Prakash Khot as CTO. Most recently, Khot was CTO at Kaseya International. In 2006, he co-founded Dimdim, a web-based platform that let users host or attend live online meetings, demos and webinars, and served as its CTO and EVP of Product Development. Dimdim was acquired by Salesforce in 2011 where he became their SVP of Engineering for the Collaboration Cloud platform. Previously, Khot led the CA RFID Group in the Office of CTO. He joined CA in 2001 upon its acquisition of Boston-based AIM, which he co-founded and served as CTO.
