Comcast Appoints Children's Hospital CEO Madeline Bell to the Board of Directors

Madeline Bell was appointed to Comcast Corporation's Board of Directors. Bell has been the President and CEO of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia since July 2015 and, prior to that, had been its President and COO since 2010.

Lowe's Companies Elects CEO of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store as Director     

Lowe's Companies elected Sandra B. Cochran, President and CEO of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, to the company's board. Cochran joined Cracker Barrel as CFO in 2009 and was named president and COO the following year.  Cochran was named to her current position in September of 2011.  She was previously CEO of Books-A-Million from 2004-2009.        

Suncor Energy’s Newest Board Member is Veteran Weyerhaeuser Exec       

Suncor Energy named Patricia M. Bedient to the company's Board of Directors. Patricia Bedient is EVP of Weyerhaeuser Company. From 2007 until February 2016, she also served as CFO. Prior to this she held a variety of leadership roles in finance and strategic planning since joining Weyerhaeuser in 2003. Before joining Weyerhaeuser, she spent 27 years with Arthur Andersen and ultimately served as the managing partner for its Seattle office and partner in charge of the firm's forest products practice.

Wendy Lucas-Bull to Step Down from the Boards of Barclays plc and Barclays Bank plc    

Following the announcement by Barclays Bank PLC of its intention to reduce its shareholding in Barclays Africa Group, Wendy Lucas-Bull has indicated that she is stepping down from the Barclays PLC and Barclays Bank PLC boards with immediate effect, to ensure that no conflicts of interest exist as a result of her being a member of these boards as well as the Chairman of the BAGL Board. Wendy's status will therefore be that of independent non-executive Chairman on the boards of BAGL and Absa Bank.

Maggie Wilderotter Joins Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Board of Directors

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced that Maggie Wilderotter, Executive Chairman of Frontier Communications, has been appointed as a member of Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Board. Prior to being appointed Executive Chairman of Frontier Communications in 2015, Maggie was Chairman and CEO beginning in 2006, after joining the comp6   any in 2004. In addition to Frontier Communications, she currently serves on the boards of DreamWorks Animation, Juno Therapeutics, and Costco.

Woolworths Limited Appoints Couple of Female Board Members       

Australian retail giant Woolworths Limited announced the appointment of Holly Kramer and Siobhan McKenna as Non-Executive Directors and the resignation of Jayne Hrdlicka from the Board. Kramer is a non-executive director of Nine Entertainment Corporation, Australia Post and AMP Limited and was previously the CEO of apparel retailer Best & Less and Group Managing Director /Chief of Marketing at Telstra.

McKenna is a non-executive director of Ten Network Holdings, Nova Entertainment, the Australian Ballet, and is a Trustee of the MCG Trust.

Sodexo to Appoint New Chairwoman

Sodexo's Board of Directors will appoint Sophie Bellon as Chairwoman. She will succeed Pierre Bellon, Sodexo's founder and Chairman, who will become Chairman Emeritus. Sophie Bellon joined Sodexo's Board of Directors in 1989 and has been Vice Chairwoman since November 29, 2013. She has also been a member of L'Oréal's Board of Directors since April 2015.

PSA Peugeot Citroën Announces Board Changes          

The Supervisory Board of PSA Peugeot Citroën appointed Catherine Bradley as a member to replace Dominique Reiniche, who has resigned. After a career in banking, Bradley is currently an independent director. She sits on the board of the Financial Conduct Authority, the UK financial regulator.

The Supervisory Board also decided to recommend Helle Kristoffersen for election at the forthcoming Annual Shareholders' Meeting, to replace Patricia Barbizet, who will be stepping down at that meeting in light of other responsibilities she has taken up since joining the PSA Supervisory Board. Helle Kristoffersen is currently SVP, Strategy & Business Intelligence, at Total and is also a director of Orange.

Semtech Corporation Appoints Former Huawei Exec as Director       

Semtech Corporation, the supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, appointed Ye Jane Li (Jane Li) as its newest director. Li has been a strategic advisor to Diversis Capital, a private equity firm that invests in middle-market companies, since 2013. Li was COO for Huawei Enterprise USA, served as General Manager for Huawei Symantec USA, was a consultant to The Gores Group, and held senior executive roles with Fujitsu Compound Semiconductor, Neophotonics, Novalux and Corning Incorporated.

American Water Works Appoints Former Polymer Group CEO as New Independent Member of the Board           

American Water Works Company appointed Veronica 'Ronee' M. Hagen as an independent member of the company's board. Hagen has served on public company boards for more than 15 years. She is currently the Lead Director of Southern Company. Hagen has been an Executive with Aluminum Company of America since 1998. Hagen served as the CEO of Polymer Group from April 23, 2007 to June 18, 2013, and as its President from January 28, 2011 to June 18, 2013.

Lululemon Athletica Appoints Its Former Logistics & Distribution CIO as Board Member

Lululemon Athletica appointed Kathryn Henry to the company's board. Henry previously served as CIO, Logistics & Distribution at lululemon athletica from 2010 to 2014. Since 2015, she has served as a strategic consultant for retail and technology companies, in addition to venture capital, investment and consulting firms. Prior to joining lululemon in 2010, she worked at Gap, where she served as VP and CIO of International IT and Gap North America. Prior to that, she was VP of Dockers Business Divestiture and VP of Global IT Strategy & Development at Levi Strauss & Co.

CDW Appoints FedEx Custom Critical CEO as Board Member       

CDW, the provider of integrated IT solutions, appointed Virginia Albanese to the company’s Board of Directors. Since 2007, Albanese has served as president and CEO of FedEx Custom Critical. Albanese’s leadership has fostered significant growth, exceptional 24/7 customer service and a successful workplace culture at FedEx Custom Critical.

AutoNation Appoints AcademixDirect Chair and Former CEO to Board      

AutoNation appointed Karen C. Francis as a member of the Board. Francis is Executive Chairman of AcademixDirect. She served as Executive Chairman and CEO of AcademixDirect from 2009 to 2014. Earlier, she was Chairman and CEO of Publicis & Hal Riney, VP of Ford Motor Company, and held several positions with General Motors, including serving as Regional Manager of the Chevrolet division responsible for all dealer operations in eleven states, as well as General Manager of the Oldsmobile division overseeing dealership operations nationwide.

Brocade Appoints Former AmEx Exec as Director

Supplier of networking hardware, software and services Brocade elected Kim C. Goodman, 50, the former President of American Express Global Business Travel of American Express, as a director. Goodman served as President of Merchant Services Americas and EVP of Merchant Services North America, at American Express earlier. She served in the industry sector at Dell where she held several operating roles from 2000 to 2007 as Head of Software and Peripherals Business. She served in consulting at Bain & Company from 1987 to 2000.

Auto Trader Group Appoints Vodafone Exec as Non-Executive Director

UK-based digital automotive company Auto Trader Group plc named Jeni Mundy as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Mundy is the Enterprise Product Management Director for Vodafone Group. Mundy started her career as a Radio Engineer with BellSouth in New Zealand before joining Vodafone in 1998. Her roles for the Group have included five years as CTO in New Zealand managing IT and the mobile network, five years as the Vodafone UK CTO, and a year leading the Northern Europe Sales team for multi-national customers.

Z Energy Appoints Julia Raue as an Independent Director      

New Zealand based fuel distributor Z Energy named Julia Raue as an independent director on the Z Board. Raue is a professional director and most recently was CIO of Air New Zealand between 2007 and late 2015.

Texas Capital Bancshares Elects TSYS CIO as Member of the Board

Texas Capital Bancshares elected Patricia A. Watson as a member of the board. Watson currently serves as Senior EVP and CIO for TSYS. Prior to joining TSYS in September 2015, she served as Global CIO for The Brinks Company.

Demandware Appoints Salesforce EVP as Director

Demandware appointed Linda Crawford to the company’s Board of Directors. As the former EVP and General Manager of the Salesforce Sales Cloud products, Crawford brings broad expertise in operations, enterprise sales and product leadership to the board. Crawford currently serves as the chief customer officer at Optimizely.
