Former PwC CEO Joins AT&T Board
AT&T appointed Samuel A. Di Piazza, Jr., 64, former Global CEO of PwC, to its Board. Di Piazza began his career with PwC in 1973 and served as Global CEO from 2002 to 2009. In between, he held a variety of regional leadership roles and served as chairman and senior partner of PwC's U.S. operations.
Alibaba Names New Board Member from Consumer Markets Domain
Alibaba Group named Wan Ling Martello as an independent director on the Company’s board of directors. Martello is currently Nestlé EVP responsible for Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to this role, she was CFO of Nestlé. Before that, she worked at Walmart where she served first as SVP and CFO, Walmart International, and then EVP, Global Ecommerce. Before Walmart, Martello was President, U.S. at NCH Marketing Services. She also worked at Borden Foods and Kraft Foods where she held various senior management positions.
Vodafone Witnesses Director Changes
Hatem Dowidar, non-executive director has resigned from the Vodafone Group and will step down from the board in September. Replacing Hatem on the board is Marten Pieters, the former CEO and managing director of Vodafone India.
Hewlett-Packard Announces Boards of Directors Following Split
Hewlett-Packard introduced the expected members of the boards for both Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. Each board will include members of the current HP board, as well as several new directors chosen after a comprehensive review. Upon completion of the separation, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will be led by current HP CEO Meg Whitman. HP Inc. will be a leading personal systems and printing company and will be led Dion Weisler, who currently runs the Printing and Personal Systems Group at HP.
The new board for each company will go into effect upon completion of the separation.
In addition, current Board member James Skinner has announced that he has resigned from the Board, due to the increased workload of his new role as Executive Chairman of Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise: The board will be chaired by Pat Russo, who joined the HP board in 2011 and currently serves as its lead independent director. Russo previously served as CEO of Alcatel-Lucent, as well as chairman, president and CEO of Lucent Technologies.

Motorola Solutions Appoints Silver Lake Partners to Board Along With Investment Push
Motorola Solutions named Egon P. Durban and Greg K. Mondre, managing partners of Silver Lake, to serve as directors, as Silver Lake invests $1 billion in the company.
Durban is a managing partner and managing director of Silver Lake, which he joined in 1999 as a founding principal. Durban serves on the board of Dell and Intelsat S.A., and is chairman of WME Entertainment.
Mondre joined Silver Lake in 1999 and is a managing partner and managing director based in New York. He currently serves as a director of Avaya, Go Daddy, Red Ventures, Sabre Holdings and Vantage Data Centers, and is on the operating committee of SunGard Capital.
Red Hat’s New Director is Deutsche Bank CIO
Red Hat named Kim Hammonds, 47, global CIO and global co-head of Group Technology and Operations at Deutsche Bank, to the company’s Board of Directors. Hammonds joined Deutsche Bank in late 2013 from Boeing, where she served as CIO. Earlier, she led IT systems development for manufacturing operations in the Americas at Dell. With more than 25 years’ experience, starting at the Ford Motor, Hammonds' career has spanned both technology and operations for some of the world's largest companies in the most challenging industries.
Akamai Appoints Former AOL Chair/CEO as Board Member
Akamai Technologies elected Jonathan (Jon) F. Miller to its Board of Directors. Miller is currently a Partner at Advancit Capital, focusing on early stage companies at the intersection of media, entertainment and technology, and is former Chairman and CEO, Digital Media Group for News Corp. Prior to that, he was the founding partner of Velocity Interactive Group, an investment firm focused on digital media and communications, Chairman and CEO of AOL, CEO and President of USA Information and Services – now IACI and Expedia – and also served as Managing Director of Nickelodeon International. He also served as VP, Programming and Co-General Manager of NBA Entertainment.
Activist Investor Elliott Takes Larger Role with Board Seat at Citrix
Robert Calderoni, 55, a Citrix director was named executive chairman. Calderoni would also chair a board committee heading the search for a successor to Templeton. He has been a Director of Citrix since June 2014. He served as chairman and CEO of Ariba for 13 years. Prior to his role as CEO at Ariba, Calderoni held senior executive positions at Apple and IBM. He has served as a CFO at several large public companies.
Thomas Bogan, 63, Citrix’s current chairman, will assume the role of lead independent director of the Citrix board. Thomas F. Bogan has served as a director of the Company since January 2003 and he served as Chairman from May 2005. Bogan has served as CEO of Adaptive Insights, a provider of cloud-based performance management solutions since January 2015.
Jesse Cohn, 34, head of activist investments at Elliott, an investment firm whose affiliated funds own approximately 7.5 percent of the company’s common stock, has been appointed to Citrix’s board. The company would add another board member to be mutually agreed upon. Cohn manages the technology investments at Elliott. He has played an integral role in several acquisitions, including the 2010 purchase of the business software firm Novell Corporation, which was valued at $2 billion. Cohn has led more than 30 shareholder campaigns against the likes of Compuware, BMC Software, and lately EMC, becoming one of the most powerful and effective activists in the finance industry.
Cohn will also be part of a new committee at Citrix that will review operations to improve the company's margins, profitability and capital structure. Calderoni will chair the group. Cohn replaces TPG Capital’s Partner Asiff Hirji, 49, on the board, who steps down.
Former Accenture Veteran Joins as Board Member of CSC
CSC elected Mark Foster, 56, to the company’s Board. Foster served as group CEO for Management Consulting at Accenture until his retirement in March 2011. During his 26-year career at Accenture, Foster also served as head of Global Markets, Group CEO for the Products Operating Group and other roles in management consulting, technology and outsourcing.
John L. Piotrowski USAF (Ret.) notified the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Semtech Corporation that he will not seek re-election as a director at the Company's 2016 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
58.com Names Co-Chairman and Co-CEO
58.com, China's largest online marketplace serving local merchants and consumers, appointed Mark Haoyong Yang as a director, co-Chairman and co-CEO of 58.com. Yang is the founder and CEO of Ganji.com, a major online local services marketplace platform in China. In April 2015, 58.com acquired a strategic stake in Falcon View Technology, the holding company of the PRC entities operating Ganji.com.
Zynga Adds Former EVP of EA as Director
Zynga named Frank Gibeau, former EVP at Electronic Arts, has joined the company's Board of Directors. Gibeau is an entertainment and gaming industry veteran who has spent nearly 25 years developing and publishing mainstream mobile, PC and console gaming franchises. Gibeau spent more than two decades at Electronic Arts, where he held a number of influential business and product leadership roles. Most recently he served as the EVP of EA Mobile. Prior to that, Gibeau was President of EA Labels, President of the EA Games Label, and EVP and GM of The Americas.
Long-time Board Member to Retire from DST Systems’ Board
A. Edward Allinson, 80, retires as Director of information processing and management software company DST Systems. Allinson has served on the Company's Board since its IPO in 1995. Allinson is former EVP of State Street Bank and former EVP of State Street Corporation.
ACI Worldwide Elects Founding Partner of FTV Capital to Board
ACI Worldwide elected James C. Hale, 63, to serve as an independent director. Hale has been a founding partner of FTV Capital since 1998. Before establishing FTV Capital, he served as a Senior Managing Partner at Montgomery Securities where he founded the financial services corporate finance practice, and co-founded the Montgomery Financial Fund. Prior to that, he was a member of the corporate planning and development group at Bank of America.
Cable One Elects Ernst & Young Exec to Board
Cable service provider Cable One elected Deborah J. Kissire to serve as a director of the Company. Kissire serves as Vice Chair, East Central Managing Partner of Ernst & Young. She serves as a Director at Junior Achievement and Greater Washington Board of Trade.
Callidus Software’s Independent Director Resigns
David Pratt resigned from board of Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM) software company Callidus Software. Pratt is former CEO of AvantGo, a provider of mobile enterprise software, and prior to that, he served as CEO of gForce Systems and FlashPoint. In addition, he served as COO of Adobe Systems, Logitech and Quantum.
Tinder's New Chairman Appointed
Greg Blatt, a top executive at IAC, which owns a big chunk of the fast-growing dating app company, will become executive chairman of Tinder. Blatt is the Chairman of IAC’s The Match Group. Blatt served as the CEO of IAC and CEO of IAC’s Match segment, and prior to that as IAC’s EVP and General Counsel.
Yelp Chairman Resigns
Yelp, the company that connects consumers with great local businesses, announced that Max Levchin resigned as Chairman and Director to pursue other interests. The Board has not yet appointed a new Chairman but plans to consider the issue at the next Board meeting in September. He is the former CTO of PayPal, which he co-founded in 1998.
