NetSuite Appoints COO as President and Board Member
SaaS business software company NetSuite appointed Jim McGeever as President. The role of President was previously held by NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson. McGeever was also appointed to the NetSuite Board of Directors. McGeever joined NetSuite in 2000 and was the company's 15th employee. In 2010, he became the company's COO responsible for global sales, services, and support operations. From 2000 until 2010, he served as NetSuite's CFO and drove NetSuite's 2007 IPO.
RealPage Adds Board Member with Consumer Marketing and Consumer Finance Expertise
RealPage, the provider of SaaS to the rental housing industry, has added Kathryn V. Marinello, 59, to its board of directors. Marinello also serves on the boards of General Motors, AB Volvo Group, and Neilson Holdings. Marinello was previously Chairman and CEO of Stream Global Services, and also had served as Chairman and CEO of Ceridian, in addition to positions at Fleet Commercial Finance and First Data Corporation.
Intersil Appoints Micron’s CFO to Board
Power management and precision analog integrated circuits developer Intersil Corporation appointed Ernest Maddock, 57, to its board of directors. He is currently the CFO at Micron, a multi-billion dollar semiconductor company with a market-leading portfolio of memory solutions. Prior to joining Micron in 2015, Maddock held leadership positions at multiple global companies, including Riverbed Technology, a billion dollar networking software company where he served as CFO and EVP. Maddock also spent 15 years at Lam Research, a market-leading semiconductor capital equipment company, including six years as CFO and SVP.
Marketo Appoints Time's Marketing EVP to Board
Marketo appointed Lynne Biggar, 52, EVP of consumer marketing and revenue at Time, Inc. to its board of directors. Prior to joining Time Inc. in November 2013, Biggar was an EVP and a member of the Global Management Team at American Express. Before joining American Express in 1992, Biggar held various positions in international strategy and marketing.
SurveyMonkey Appoints Sheryl Sandberg and Former Facebook CFO as Board Members and HP’s Bill Veghte as CEO
Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has joined the board of SurveyMonkey, the online survey company that had been headed by her late husband, David Goldberg.
In addition to Sandberg, former Facebook CFO David Ebersman is also becoming a director there. He is currently the CEO of Lyra Health.
Zander Lurie, SurveyMonkey’s temporary executive chairman who has been leading the company until a CEO is chosen, has been named permanent chairman of the board.
SurveyMonkey has named Bill Veghte as its new CEO and board member. Veghte had been COO as well as Chief of Strategy at HP; most recently, he was Head of its Enterprise Group. His departure there came amid a larger scale restructuring of the company as it splits in two. Veghte joined HP in 2010 after 20 years at Microsoft, most recently as SVP, Windows.
Kayak CEO Joins SeatGeek Board
Event ticket marketplace SeatGeek appointed Kayak co-founder and CEO Steve Hafner to its board of directors, as the New York City startup tries to become a serious competitor to bigger online ticketing companies such as StubHub. Haffner is former EVP, Consumer Travel of Orbitz.
Former Jive CEO Joins Altiscale Board
Tony Zingale, 58, the chairman and former CEO of the collaboration software company Jive, has joined the board of Altiscale, a company that sells infrastructure built for running Hadoop data analysis software. Zingale retired as Jive’s CEO in November last year and Elisa Steele took over in that role. Zingale also recently joined the board of ServiceMax.
DynoSense Adds Accomplished Global Executives to Board
Digital health innovator DynoSense appointed Dr. Pantas Sutardja and Paul Chau to its board of directors. Dr. Sutardja is an accomplished technologist and entrepreneur. He is co-founder of Marvell Semiconductor, where he held the positions of board director and CTO for 19 years.
Paul Chau is a seasoned executive with more than 18 years of private equity, consulting and technical experience. He is currently managing director of international venture capital franchise WI Harper. Prior to that, Chau served as VP at Walden International, where he handled investments and the management of existing portfolio companies.
