Salesforce Appoints YouTube CEO to Board

Salesforce appoints Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube, to its Board. Before heading YouTube, she was SVP for advertising and commerce of Google. Wojcicki joined Google in 1999 as the 16th employee and served as the search engine's first marketing executive. At Google, Wojcicki has overseen product management of AdSense, Google Book Search and Google Video as well as the syndication of the company's products.

Recently Retired CEO of Accenture's Technology Group Joins Board of Western Digital

Western Digital appointed Martin Cole, 58, to its board of directors. Before retiring earlier this year, Cole served in several senior executive leadership positions during a 34-year career at Accenture. Most recently, he served as CEO of Accenture's Technology Group. Cole joined Accenture in 1980 and also served as CEO of the Communications, Media & Technology operating group, CEO of the Public Service operating group and as global MD of the Outsourcing & Infrastructure Delivery group. Cole serves as a director for Cloudera and the Avon Old Farms School.

Red Hat Appoints GE Veteran as Board Member

Red Hat appointed Charlene Begley, 47, a former executive at CEO, to its board of Directors. Begley served in various capacities at General Electric from 1988 through December 2013. Most recently, she served in a dual role as SVP and Chief Information Officer, as well as the President and CEO of GE’s Home and Business Solutions business. Begley is currently a director of The NASDAQ OMX Group and WPP plc.

Citrix Gets Illumina’s President to Board

Citrix added Francis A. deSouza, 44, technology industry veteran and president of Illumina, a leading biotechnology company, to its board. deSouza founded two technology companies, both of which were acquired, and spent time at Microsoft before serving in five different executive roles at Symantec, including group president, enterprise products and services. He began his career at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center and went on to consult on technical and change management projects with Gemini.

Former World Bank CIO Joins E*TRADE Board

E*TRADE Financial, a leading online broker for stock trading, mutual funds & more, appoints Shelley B. Leibowitz to the Company's Board. Leibowitz has served as Group CIO for the World Bank. Prior to that, she served as CIO at Morgan Stanley and Greenwich Capital Markets.

Rackspace Appoints Former Ariba President to Board

Rackspace, the managed cloud company, named Kevin Costello, 52, has joined the Rackspace board of directors. A veteran in the SaaS industry, Costello served as the president of Ariba for six years. When SAP acquired Ariba in 2012, Costello continued to serve as president, where he focused on driving the Ariba solution through the SAP cloud go-to-market organization to ensure successful integration. Prior to Ariba and SAP, Costello served in various senior management positions during his 18-year career at Andersen Business Consulting.

Logitech’s Board Member Changes

Daniel Borel, 63, Logitech’s co-founder, will not stand for re-election to the Company's Board of Directors. Borel served as both Chairmand and CEO earlier for the company. He has held various other executive positions with Logitech.

Logitech elected Dimitri Panayotopoulos, 63, to the board. Panayotopoulos is senior advisor with the Boston Consulting Group and former vice chairman of the Procter & Gamble.

Blackbaud Elects CheckFree Founder as Newest Board Member

Blackbaud elects Peter (Pete) Kight, founder, and former chairman and CEO of CheckFree, to its Board of Directors. After founding CheckFree in 1981, Kight served as CEO until its merger with Fiserv in 2007. Kight is also a member of the Board at Huntington Bancshares.

NETGEAR’s Board Member to Leave

Global networking company NETGEAR’s board member Linwood A. Lacy, Jr., 68, decided to not stand for re-election to the Board. Lacy currently is a private investor. Lacy served as Chairman of 4Sure.com, President and CEO of Micro Warehouse Incorporated, Co-Chairman and CEO of Ingram Micro, Vice Chairman, President and CEO, and President of Ingram Industries.

Constant Contact’s Director Resigns

Thomas Anderson, a member of the Board of Constant Contact, resigns. Anderson is currently the CEO of Education Dynamics, the leader in helping higher education institutions find, enroll, and retain students. Prior to Education Dynamics, he was President, CEO, and member of the Board of Integrity Interactive; SVP, Direct to Consumer Channel, at Sallie Mae; President, CEO, and member of the Board at Upromise (acquired by Sallie Mae); CEO of AmeriFee; SVP of Capital One; and a partner at McKinsey.

TeleTech’s Board Member Resigns to Assume Position in the Public Sector

Anjan Mukherjee, 40, a member of technology and BPO solutions company TeleTech’s board of directors, will resign. He leaves the board in order to assume a position in the public sector, which requires him to resign from all private sector executive and board positions. Mukherjee joined the TeleTech board in 2009. Mukherjee is a Senior Managing Director in the Private Equity Group of Blackstone Group.

Well Respected Industry Innovator Joins Bazaarvoice Board

Ratings and reviews software company Bazaarvoice named Mary T. McDowell to its board. She served as a member of the Nokia Leadership Team for nine years until 2012. During her tenure at Nokia, she held the positions of EVP for Mobile Phones, EVP and chief development officer, and EVP and general manager of Enterprise Solutions. Before that, she was SVP of Strategy and Corporate Development and SVP of the Industry Standard Server Group at Hewlett Packard and Compaq. McDowell currently holds board positions with Autodesk and UBM plc.
