SAP’s CMO Named Company's First Chief Digital Officer

SAP named its CMO Jonathan Becher, 49, as the company's first Chief Digital Officer to lead the company's new digital business unit. Becher, a technology and marketing expert, joined SAP during the 2007 acquisition of Pilot Software, where he was president-CEO. Prior to leading Pilot Software, Becher was president-CEO of Accrue Software, a provider of web analytics, and president-CEO of NeoVista Software, a predictive analytics and data mining company. 

Fiserv Appoints eCommerce Expert in Consumer and Financial Services Domain to Oversee Digital Banking Solutions

Fiserv named Marc West as president of its Digital Channels business. West was previously SVP of banking and aggregation for Electronic Payments at Fiserv. Before joining Fiserv in 2013, West was the president and CEO at Mamasource, managing director of e-Business at Barclays Global Investors, and held leadership positions at H&R Block and Electronic Arts. In addition to launching and selling his own start-up, West was an advisor to numerous start-ups and as the CTO for several online trading platforms.

Former World Bank CIO Joins E*TRADE Board

E*TRADE Financial, a leading online broker for stock trading, mutual funds & more, appoints Shelley B. Leibowitz to the Company's Board. Leibowitz has served as Group CIO for the World Bank. Prior to that, she served as CIO at Morgan Stanley and Greenwich Capital Markets.

AOL Appoints New CMO From Within Ranks

AOL appointed Allie Kline as CMO. Kline has been with AOL since January 2013 as CMO of AOL Platforms. She will continue to oversee marketing for AOL Platforms as it moves towards the Q1 2015 launch of ONE by AOL. Previously, she was the CMO for big data and social graph company 33Across, where she worked with over 375 Fortune 1000 advertisers and 650,000 global publishers.

Shutterstock Appoints Key Leaders to eCommerce and Product Roles

Commercial digital imagery marketplace Shutterstock appoints Chris Hoerenz as President of eCommerce and Catherine Ulrich as Chief Product Officer. An eCommerce and digital veteran, Hoerenz is a proven strategist with an excellent understanding of how creative professionals work. Hoerenz previously served as COO at WhoSay and Fox Mobile Group (now known as freenet digital) and has more than 20 years of experience leading prominent eCommerce and subscription businesses.

Most recently, Ulrich was the Chief Product Officer at Weight Watchers, where she oversaw product, user-interface and design, as well as content and consumer analytics teams.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
