Siemens Health Services CEO Will Join Cerner Upon Acquisition

John Glaser, CEO of Siemens Health Services, will become SVP of Cerner upon its acquisition of Siemens. Prior to joining Siemens, Dr. Glaser was VP and CIO at Partners HealthCare. Previously, he was VP, Information Systems at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and managed the Healthcare Information Systems consulting practice at Arthur D. Little. Dr. Glaser was the founding chairman of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). He is also past president of the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS). 

Alere Appoints New VP of Investor Relations

Juliet Cunningham, former managing director of the Blue Shirt Group, a communications firm, has been named VP of investor relations at Alere, a provider of rapid diagnostic testing tools. Prior to joining Alere, Cunningham led corporate investor relations at Lytx, Mitek and Novatel Wireless. Previously, Cunningham was also SVP at QUALCOMM.

WebMD Appoints New Chief of Consumer Strategy with Strategic Media, Marketing and Sales Experience

WebMD named Lisa Ryan Howard in the newly created role of EVP, Chief of Consumer Strategy. Before joining WebMD, Howard was Business Lead - Lifestyles at Yahoo!, and Publisher of Billboard, overseeing the Company's magazine, online, licensing, events and sponsorship businesses. Earlier in her career, Howard spent 14 years at Conde Nast in a variety of roles including SVP, Chief Revenue Officer of Fairchild Fashion Group; VP, Interactive for Conde Nast Media Group; VP, Publisher of Style.com and Executive Director of Corporate Sales.

Recondo Technology Appoints CEO from Awarepoint

Cloud-based revenue cycle management software company Recondo Technology named Jay Deady as the company's CEO and to its Board. Deady most recently served as CEO of Awarepoint, where he grew the company into the leading technology provider in the caregiver and patient asset-flow and capacity-management market. Previously, Deady was EVP of client solutions for Eclipsys. He also served as SVP and GM of revenue cycle at McKesson Provider Technologies and held management positions with Cerner and ADAC Healthcare.

VorroHealth Names LTPAC Industry Veteran as VP of Care Innovation

VorroHealth, a provider of clinical and interoperable technology for healthcare, named Maria D. Moen to the newly created position of Vice President of Care Innovation. Moen is a recognized industry veteran who most recently served as Healthcare Applications Director at Brookdale Senior Living. Early in her career Moen co-founded a successful LTPAC software company, then founded her own consulting agency which specialized in managing and implementing complex technology projects for some of the nation's largest healthcare organizations.

AMC Health Engages GE Healthcare Exec as SVP of Sales & Client Development

AMC Health, the provider of real-time patient management solutions, appoints Bruce Matter as SVP of Sales and Client Development. Most recently Matter served as a Sales/Practice Leader for GE Healthcare North America’s revenue cycle, electronic medical record and population health enterprise solutions. Previously, he was EVP at Preminic where his contributions to the company’s growth and customer satisfaction helped achieve a successful merger with Verge.

CTG Makes Couple of Senior Leadership Appointments

CTG, an IT solutions and services company, named Ted Reynolds a SVP of the company. Reynolds has executive responsibility for the company’s healthcare IT division, CTG Health Solutions, which serves the healthcare provider and payer markets. He joined CTG in 2006 as a client services executive focusing on the sales and growth of CTG’s Epic practice. Reynolds was named a VP of CTG in 2011 concurrent with his being promoted to lead CTG Health Solutions. Prior to joining CTG, he was employed by Epic Systems Corporation in several leadership roles. Before that, he was a VP of First Consulting Group and also served as manager, applications development for Stanford University Hospital.

Joseph Eberle was named managing director, data analytics. Eberle’s most recent position was a principal consultant in CTG’s IT Solutions business. Over the course of his 27-year career with CTG, he has led technical project teams and provided project oversight for consulting engagements for CTG clients. His professional experience also includes serving as a consultant at Manning & Napier Information Services and operating his own independent IT consulting firm.

Corizon Health Hires CIO from Cigna-HealthSpring

Corizon Health named B. Anderson Flatt as its CIO. Flatt who was most recently SVP and CIO of Cigna-HealthSpring, brings more than 30 years of service-centered leadership in technology innovation to his new role. Flatt previously held the position of CIO for AIM Healthcare Services, and he also served in technology management roles at Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He co-founded MIQS, an award-winning EMR company, after beginning his career as a software developer.

PaySpan Appoints CTO to Support Continued Growth, Innovation

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members.
