Former Federal Reserve Governor Joins Wells Fargo Board

Wells Fargo & Company has elected Elizabeth A. “Betsy” Duke, a former member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, to the company’s board of directors. Prior to her service as a Federal Reserve Governor, Duke served in various senior leadership roles in banking, including as COO of TowneBank, CEO of Bank of Tidewater, and as a senior officer of SouthTrust Bank and Wachovia Bank, N.A., the last three of which banks are now part of Wells Fargo. 

Salesforce Appoints YouTube CEO to Board

Salesforce appoints Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube, to its Board. Before heading YouTube, she was SVP for advertising and commerce of Google. Wojcicki joined Google in 1999 as the 16th employee and served as the search engine's first marketing executive. At Google, Wojcicki has overseen product management of AdSense, Google Book Search and Google Video as well as the syndication of the company's products.

Capital Markets Expert Joins Sun Life Board

Sun Life Financial appointed Sara Grootwassink Lewis to its Board of Directors. Lewis is the CEO and Founder of Lewis Corporate Advisors, a capital markets and board advisory firm. Before creating her own advisory firm, Lewis was the EVP and CFO at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust.

Voya Financial Appoints Time Inc. EVP as Director

Voya Financial, formerly ING U.S., announced Lynne Biggar, 52, EVP of consumer marketing + revenue for Time Inc., has joined the company's board of directors. Prior to joining Time Inc. in 2013, Biggar held several leadership roles at American Express and was a member of the company's global management team. Most recently, she was EVP and general manager for international card products and experiences. She joined American Express in 1992. Biggar is a board member of Travelfuture and the New 42nd Street.

Navient Names Two New Female Directors

Navient, the leading loan management, servicing and asset recovery company, appointed Katherine A. Lehman and Laura S. Unger, to board. Katherine A. Lehman is managing director at Lincolnshire Management, a private equity firm focused on investing in and growing middle market companies. Before joining Lincolnshire in 2001, Lehman worked at Conifer Capital Group and at PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities.

Laura S. Unger is a financial services consultant specializing in regulatory and legislative policy.  Most recently, she was a special advisor at Promontory Financial Group. Previously she was named as the independent consultant to JPMorgan for the global analyst conflict of interest settlement. Before, she was a commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission, including six months as acting chairman of the SEC.

Former World Bank Group CIO Joins Board of E*TRADE Financial Corporation

Financial services company E*TRADE Financial Corporation appoints Shelley B. Leibowitz to the Company's Board of Directors. Leibowitz served as Group CIO for the World Bank from 2009 to 2012. Prior to the World Bank, she served as CIO at Morgan Stanley and Greenwich Capital Markets.

Residential Real Estate Franchising Company Appoints Former SuperValu CFO as Director

Realogy, a global leader in residential real estate franchising, named Sherry M. Smith to its Board of Directors. Most recently, Smith served as CFO and EVP of SuperValu. She previously served as the company's SVP of finance, and before that as SVP of finance and treasurer, and in various other capacities including accounting, audit, controller, compensation, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and treasury.

Hain Celestial Group’s New Director is Experienced Finance Professional

Natural and organic products company The Hain Celestial Group elected Adrianne Shapira to its Board of Directors. Shapira is the CFO of David Yurman, a fine jewelry luxury brand. Prior to joining David Yurman, Adrianne had a 13-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she was Managing Director in Global Investment Research. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Adrianne was an analyst at Neuberger Berman, an investment management company. Adrianne also sits on the Board of Directors of Gilt Groupe, an innovative online shopping destination.

Tenet Healthcare Appoints Pfizer’s Chief Medical Officer as Board Member

Tenet Healthcare has appointed Freda C. Lewis-Hall, M.D., 59, EVP and chief medical officer of Pfizer, as a new independent director. Prior to joining the biopharmaceutical industry, she served as vice chairperson and associate professor of the Department of Psychiatry at Howard University College of Medicine and was an advisor to the National Institute of Mental Health.

Wesco Aircraft Holdings’ New Board Member Comes with Global Business Management Experience

Wesco Aircraft Holdings appointed Jennifer M. Pollino as a director. Pollino has served as an executive coach and consultant at JMPollino since 2012. From 2005 to 2012, she served as EVP – human resources and communications at Goodrich Corporation. Pollino also served in various general management and financial roles for several Goodrich manufacturing and service operating divisions. Prior to joining Goodrich, she served as a field accounting officer for the Resolution Trust Corporation and as a controller in the financial services industry. She began her career as an auditor for KPMG.

Bankrate Appoints Digital Mentor as Director

Bankrate, the publisher, aggregator and distributor of personal finance content on the Internet, named Christine E. Petersen to its board of directors. Petersen serves as an advisor, board member and investor in several start-up digital businesses. She previously was a senior executive at TripAdvisor where she served as President of TripAdvisor for Business and earlier as TripAdvisor's Chief Marketing Officer.
