Welcome to our monthly update on CIO/CTO Turnover. This newsletter covers Tech function roles, including CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and Head of Tech & Ops. This is for the month ending June 19, 2014. C-Suite turnover remained virtually the same year over year and witnessed 8% increase month to month for May (Source: Liberum). Top Industry sectors for overall C-Suite turnover in April, according to the same source, are: Drugs/Biotech, Business Services and Banking.

Cutera, Mountain View, CA Revenues: $77.3m
Cutera, a medical device company, engages in the research, design, development of laser and other energy based aesthetics systems for practitioners worldwide.
September 2012 - Cutera announced the resignation of Leonard DeBenedictis, who is stepping down just 18 months after being named CTO of the Mountain View, Calif.-based aesthetic device maker. No replacement has been announced.

September 2013 - On September 4, 2013, Stephen Sek tendered his resignation as Chief Technology Officer, effective September 30, 2013. Mr. Sek is leaving to accept a position with a company he worked with prior to joining Axesstel, Inc. in 2006.

November 2013 – The Splunk IT team is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer. The CISO develops and maintains enterprise security and risk policies, oversees vendor and technology risk management, and influences user behavior. The CISO will report to CIO.
ServiceNow, San Diego, CA Revenues: $243.7m
ServiceNow is a provider of cloud-based services to automate enterprise IT operations.
January 2014 – Arne Josefsberg, CTO of ServiceNow, resigned from the Company to join GoDaddy. No Details on Interim or Replacement has been announced.
Molycorp, Greenwood Village, CO Revenues: $528m
Molycorp provides Rare Earths and Molybdenum products to companies.
March 2013 - Molycorp’s EVP & CTO John Burba, PhD., 60, has resigned, with no replacements announced.
SunGard iWorks, Alpharetta, GA Revenues: NA
SunGard iWorks is the insurance industry focused vertical within SunGard.
December 2013 - SunGard is looking for iWorks CIO, with direct responsibility for all product initiatives across SunGard Insurance.

November 2012 - Groupon is currently seeking a CIO, as Alan McIntosh has left the company.

New York is a state in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
April 2014 – New York state is looking for a new CIO. The job is to lead the Office of Information and Technology Services (ITS), a relatively new agency with 3,800 employees and a budget of $915 million. The new CIO will replace Brian Digman, who took office in January 2013, two months after the formation of ITS.
