July 2013 - Justin Rattner, Intel's CTO and director of the company's labs, is stepping down to meet a requirement in the company's bylaws that employees cannot serve as corporate officers after the age of 65. Intel Labs will report to Intel President Renée James until further decisions related to its leadership are made.

November 2013 - Stanley A. Swearingen, Jr. resigned as CTO of the company. His successor is not yet named.
Cutera, Mountain View, CA Revenues: $77.3m
Cutera, a medical device company, engages in the research, design, development of laser and other energy based aesthetics systems for practitioners worldwide.
September 2012 - Cutera announced the resignation of Leonard DeBenedictis, who is stepping down just 18 months after being named CTO of the Mountain View, Calif.-based aesthetic device maker. No replacement has been announced.

September 2013 - On September 4, 2013, Stephen Sek tendered his resignation as Chief Technology Officer, effective September 30, 2013. Mr. Sek is leaving to accept a position with a company he worked with prior to joining Axesstel, Inc. in 2006.

December 2013 - Violin Memory CTO Jonathan Goldrick has left the company, with no replacement announced.

Splunk provides a software platform. Splunk’s software collects and indexes data regardless of format or source, and enables users to search, correlate, analyze, monitor and report on this data, all in real time.
November 2013 – The Splunk IT team is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer. The CISO develops and maintains enterprise security and risk policies, oversees vendor and technology risk management, and influences user behavior. The CISO will report to CIO.

ServiceNow is a provider of cloud-based services to automate enterprise IT operations.
January 2014 – Arne Josefsberg, CTO of ServiceNow, resigned from the Company to join GoDaddy. No Details on Interim or Replacement has been announced.
Molycorp, Greenwood Village, CO Revenues: $528m
Molycorp provides Rare Earths and Molybdenum products to companies.
March 2013 - Molycorp’s EVP & CTO John Burba, PhD., 60, has resigned, with no replacements announced.
Colorado – Governor’s Office of Information Technology, Denver, CO Revenues: NA
The OIT enables the effective, efficient and elegant delivery of government services through trusted partnerships and technology.
April 2014 - Kristin Russell is leaving her post as executive director of the Governor's Office of IT next month to join Deloitte Consulting. Kevin Patterson, a deputy chief of staff in the governor's office, will oversee OIT on an interim basis after Russell leaves her job May 9. A search for a permanent replacement is underway.

November 2012 - Groupon is currently seeking a CIO, as Alan McIntosh has left the company.
Horace Mann, Springfield, IL Revenues: NA

July 2013 - Federal Signal Corporation announced that on July 18, 2013, Charles F. Avery, Jr. submitted to the Company his notice of his intention to resign as the CP, Corporate Controller and CIO, effective July 31, 2013. No replacements announced.
Lawson Products, Chicago, IL Revenues: $290m
Lawson Products distributes products and services to the industrial, commercial, institutional, and governmental maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) marketplace.
November 2013 - Mr. Robert O. Border, SVP, CIO of Lawson Products notified the Company that he is leaving his current position effective December 1, 2013 to pursue a senior level position with another organization. No replacement has been announced yet.

Boston is the capital and largest city of the state of Massachusetts.
March 2014 - Under the leadership of Mayor Martin J. Walsh, the City of Boston seeks a technology leader with a strong concern for and awareness of urban issues, who, as CIO, will build the infrastructure, tools, and team that deliver against this vision. Justin C. Holmes is the intrim CIO appointed in January 2014.
Target, Minneapolis, MN Revenues: $72.6b
The Target Corporation is an American retailing company, founded in 1902 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the second-largest discount retailer in the United States.
March 2014 – Target’s CIO Beth Jacob has resigned as the retailer overhauls its information security and compliance division in the wake of a massive pre-Christmas data breach. In a statement Wednesday, Target Chief Executive Gregg Steinhafel described the search for an interim CIO as a “first step.” The company has created the position of CISO and is hiring outside for that position.

Hill International is a worldwide construction consulting firm headquartered in Marlton, NJ.

North American Breweries (NAB) is the national platform for investments and growth in the beer and malt beverages industries for KPS Capital Partners, LP. NAB acquired Genesee Brewing Company, Labatt USA and a perpetual license for Seagram's Escapes from Pernod Ricard USA, LLC in 2009. The combination created the largest independently-owned beer company in the U.S.
July 2013 – The company is looking for a CIO, who will be responsible for managing the company’s IT organization in order to maintain and enhance the systems that enable business performance.

New York is a state in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
April 2014 – New York State is looking for a new CIO. The job is to lead the Office of Information and Technology Services (ITS), a relatively new agency with 3,800 employees and a budget of $915 million. The new CIO will replace Brian Digman, who took office in January 2013, two months after the formation of ITS.

March 2014 – Lowe’s CIO Kevin Summers has left the home improvement retailer. Paul Ramsay, a SVP of IT who joined Lowe’s in 2011, has been named acting CIO.

DOC is the Cabinet department of the United States government concerned with promoting economic growth.
February 2014 - After seven years as an agency CIO — first at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and then at the Commerce Department — Simon Szykman is leaving his post. The department hopes to have named a new CIO before Szykman exits. However, if he leaves before then, it is uncertain who of the two deputy CIOs, Kirit Amin and Izella Dornell, will serve as acting CIO.

April 2014 - Interior Department CIO Bernie Mazer is retiring and transitioning out of his role. Sylvia Burns took over the reins as Interior Department’s acting CIO.
WestJet Airlines, Calgary, AB Revenues: $3.13b
WestJet Airlines provides airline service and travel packages with scheduled service to more than 85 destinations in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, and has partnership agreements with over 30 airlines around the world.

Deutsche Boerse, Eschborn, Germany Revenues: NA
Deutsche Boerse AG is a Germany-based international financial marketplace operator. It operates four business segments: Xetra; Eurex; Clearstream, and Market Data & Analytics.
October 2013 - Deutsche Borse CTO and Clearstream CIO, Yves Baguet, leaves. His CIO responsibilities will be taken over by Richard Green, who is currently running one of Clearstream's application development departments. Green will also take over the CTO role on an interim basis.

Barclays is a global financial services provider engaged in retail banking, credit cards, wholesale banking, investment banking, wealth management and investment management services.
November 2013 - Shaygan Kheradpir, Chief Operations and Technology Officer, is leaving Barclays. Darryl West, Barclays’ CIO, will act as Interim Group Chief Operations and Technology Officer. An internal and external search will be launched for the post.
- Polycom: CISO Scott McCool has been promoted to group VP of IT and CIO at unified communications vendor Polycom.
- Aerojet Rocketdyne: Aerojet Rocketdyne, a GenCorp company, appoints Jose Ruiz, Jr. as VP/CIO, from Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems.
- Skilled Healthcare: Emulex CIO David Goff joins as Skilled Healthcare’s CIO.
- WellPoint: WellPoint appoints CIO Thomas Miller from Coca Cola Refreshments.
- Asbury Automotive: Barry Cohen was promoted as VP and CIO of Asbury Automotive, operator of approximately 90 retail auto stores nationwide.
- Boston Consulting Group: BCG appointed Cisco executive Robbert Kuppens, 49, as global CIO.
- Realogy Holdings: The real estate franchising and provider of real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services, appointed Stephen Fraser as CIO and SVP.
- Quest Diagnostics: LabCorp executive Lidia L. Fonseca joined Quest Diagnostics, provider of diagnostic information services, as SVP and CIO.
- AOL: WebMD CTO William Pence will join AOL as its Global CTO, replacing Curtis Brown, who will be leaving AOL following a transition period.
- Annaly Capital Management: New CTO Michael Maffattone comes from Harvard Management Company.
- Steve Madden: Stu Werner joined Steve Madden, footwear retailer, as Global CIO, from Tatum, a Randstand company.
- Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center: Chad Eckes joined Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as its new VP and CIO, from the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA).
- Ohio State University: iCIO Michael B. Hofherr is now VP/CIO at The Ohio State University.
- AVX Corporation: John Lawing, currently President and COO, will relinquish that title and be re-assigned as CTO, replacing Carl Eggerding.
- Tractor Supply Company: The operator of retail farm and ranch stores appointed Ulta Beauty executive Robert D. Mills as SVP and CIO, following the retirement of James Callison.
- Sedgwick Claims Management Services: SVP Jason Landrum has been named CIO for Sedgwick Claims Management Services.
- Rackspace Hosting: Rackspace Hosting appoints eBay executive Ryan Neading as CIO.
- Kinder Morgan: Mark Huse was appointed VP and CIO for Kinder Morgan, a midstream energy company in North America.
- Journal Broadcast Group: The Journal Communications subsidiary has named Fisher Communications’ executive Brian McHale the company's new VP/CTO.
- University of Calgary: iCIO Michael Rannelli is now CIO.
- HootSuite: The social relationship platform appointed Groupon’s VP of product and technology Ajai Sehgal as CTO.
- ABB: iCTO Claes Rytoft is now CTO. His appointment was not announced, but he has been quoted as CTO in recent press releases and the website lists him as CTO now.
- Flextronics: iCIO Gus Shahin is now SVP/CIO, according to the company website.
- VimpelCom: Netherlands based VimpelCom appoints Uninor executive Yogesh Malik as Group CTO.
- Vipshop (Lefeng.com): China based Vipshop Holdings appoints Haidong Jiang, as VP of Technology and CTO of Lefeng.com, Vipshop's majority-owned online retailer of cosmetics and fashion products.
- Brocade: The California based supplier of networking equipment appoints Matt Kolon to the role of CTO for Asia Pacific, who’ll be based in China.
- Bharti Airtel: India based Bharti Airtel's CTO Jagbir Singh has resigned from his post, replaced by Abhay Savargaonkar, chief of network operations.
