Apple’s Retiring CFO Oppenheimer Joins Goldman Sachs’ Board 

Goldman Sachs appointed Peter Oppenheimer as an independent director of the firm. Oppenheimer is SVP and CFO of Apple, and is retiring from the company in September. Before his current role, he was SVP and Corporate Controller and prior to that, he served first as Senior Director of Finance and Controller for the Americas, then as VP and Controller of Worldwide Sales and later as VP and Corporate Controller. Before joining Apple, he was the Divisional CFO of Finance, MIS, Administration and Equipment Leasing Portfolio at ADP and was a consultant within the IT Practice at Coopers & Lybrand.

Bed Bath & Beyond Appoints Retiring EVP and Chief Customer Officer of Juniper Networks to Board

Domestic merchandise retailer Bed Bath & Beyond elected Geraldine "Gerri" Elliott, 57, EVP and Chief Customer Officer at Juniper Networks, as an independent member of the Board. Elliott will soon retire from Juniper later this year. Elliott’s prior roles were EVP and chief sales officer, and as EVP of strategic alliances at Juniper. Elliott joined Juniper in 2009 from Microsoft, where she held a series of senior executive positions, including as Corporate VP of Worldwide Public Sector organization. Prior to joining Microsoft, Elliott spent 22 years at IBM, where she held executive and management positions in strategy development, services and consulting, product management and sales leadership.

Whirlpool’s New Board Member is Juniper Networks’ Retiring EVP and Chief Customer Officer

Former Alcatel and Avaya Exec Joins Board of Oak Ridge Energy Technologies

Oak Ridge Energy Technologies, advanced battery products provider for commercial, industrial, and government applications, elected Anil Srivastava, 53, to its Board. Srivastava is engaged as an Executive Partner with Climate Holdings BV, a holding entity for operating companies in the Energy business. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Wind Kraft Union GmbH, one of the largest Offshore Wind Park Development Company in Germany and CEO of AREVA Renewables, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AREVA SA. Prior to that, he served in the technology industry extensively as EVP, Enterprise & Vertical Markets, EMEA & CALA Regions and Global Accounts at Alcatel; VP, Sales at Avaya; Managing Director, Business Operations EMEA at Lucent Technologies; and Regional Director and Engineer at HP.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
