SAP Goes Through Cloud Personnel Changes

SAP hired Mike Ettling as Head of Global Cloud HR. As CEO at NGA Human Resources, a multimillion global HR and payroll services provider, Ettling managed relationships with leading HR technology companies and successfully guided them in finding HR solutions fitting their business needs. Prior to NGA, Ettling was VP of Global Business Process Outsourcing for Unisys. He held various executive roles for Unisys, including MD for Australia and New Zealand and VP of Outsourcing for Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East, Africa.

SVP & GM managing the SuccessFactors/SAP Cloud business globally, Graham Younger has left the company to join online file sharing and cloud content management service company Box as EVP for worldwide field operations. Younger joined SuccessFactors in the summer of 2011, only four months before it was acquired by SAP. Before SuccessFactors, Younger served in two stints at Oracle, and also worked for Amdocs, TIBCO and IBM.

Verizon Appoints Former CSC Cloud Exec as Global Cloud Head

Verizon appointed former CSC cloud head Siki Giunta to lead Verizon’s global cloud business as SVP Cloud and M2M Connected Solutions, as the company completely re-architected its cloud platform, and eyes consolidating multiple PaaSs on its platform. Giunta most recently served as head of CSC’s global cloud business. She also served as CEO of Fortisphere, providing policy-based virtualization management software, and Managed Objects, an application management dashboard provider acquired by Novell in 2008.

HP Appoints Head of New Network Functions Virtualization Business

Bethany Mayer, an HP SVP and head of its networking equipment business unit, has been reassigned to run the new Network Functions Virtualization business unit, which will draw from HP’s enterprise hardware business, its enterprise services group and its cloud services business. She had replaced the networking equipment unit’s prior head Marius Haas. Mayer joined HP from Blue Coat, where she was SVP, worldwide marketing and corporate development. Prior to that, she served as CMO with Mirapoint in the email and email security market. She has held executive positions at JDSU, Vernier Networks and Skystream Networks (now Ericsson), Cisco, Apple and Lockheed Martin.

Former Apple Exec Betsy Rafael Joins GoDaddy as First Female Board Member 

GoDaddy, the internet domain registrar and web hosting company, has appointed Betsy Rafael to its board. The former Chief Accounting Officer at Apple and Finance VP at Cisco has 30 years of finance and operations experience at numerous companies, including Ernst & Young, Sun, SGI, Escalate and Aspect Communications. She is currently on two other corporate boards, Echelon and Autodesk.

Logicalis Appoints Fujitsu Exec to Lead Service Expansion

IT solutions and cloud service provider Logicalis is appointing Richard Aston to the role of VP of services. Aston is joining Logicalis from Fujitsu where he most recently served as head of solutions and architecture. Previous to this Aston served at Fujitsu as IT director and head of managed services and cloud. Before that he served as technology director at professional services firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and CTO of British energy giant Centrica.

Telehealth Cloud Platform Adds Chief Medical Officer Position to Executive Team

Emerge.MD, the telehealth cloud platform, named Edward M. Reece, M.D., M.S., as its Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Reece joins Emerge.MD as the latest executive recruit to help augment the clinical strategy of the company. Dr. Reece is a board-certified plastic surgeon and subspecialist in surgery of the hand and practices with Arizona Center for Hand Surgery.

Dora Vell
