Omnicell Appoints Kimberly-Clark's Joanne Bauer to Board of Directors
Omnicell, a provider of automation and business analytics software for the health care industry, appoints Joanne Bauer, president of global Health Care at Kimberly-Clark, to its board. Bauer leads multispecialty businesses across the pain management, respiratory, digestive health and infection prevention sectors. She joined Kimberly-Clark in 1981 and has held various marketing and management positions within its adult care and health care businesses. She was elected president of Kimberly-Clark's global health care business in 2006, where she is responsible for a variety of surgical and infection prevention products and medical devices.
T-System Promotes Key Executives to Leverage Expertise for New Solutions
Top healthcare IT vendor T-System promoted Mark Horner and Steve Armond to lead new solution lines and further position the organization for extensive growth. Horner, formerly the VP of client services, will now serve as SVP and general manager of T-System’s RevCycle+™. Prior to joining T-System in 2010, Horner held senior operations roles at Cerner Corporation and Sears Methodist Retirement System.
Armond, T-System’s CFO, has taken on an expanded role leading the company’s documentation solutions including T-System’s EV™, T Sheets® and PerformNext™. Armond was most recently named the 2013 private technology company CFO of the Year by the Dallas Business Journal.
MasterCard Exec Joins Surescripts as CEO
Harry Totonis, President and CEO of e-prescribing network Surescripts will step down. Prior to Surescripts, Totonis was head of Advisors Services at MasterCard. During 14 years with Booz Allen Hamilton, he served in several executive positions, including managing partner of the firm's global banking and insurance practice and as a member of the firm's executive leadership team. Prior to MasterCard, as CEO of Kinexus, Totonis led the development and growth of a private banking network that enabled banks to share information and deliver better financial advice to their customers.
Telehealth Solutions Company Appoints SVP with Strong eclinical Technology Background
AMC Health, a leading provider of end-to-end telehealth solutions, named John Larus to the newly created position of SVP, Solutions Development - Clinical Trials Division. Larus was most recently the EVP of Regulatory and Strategic Development for Clinipace, a digital contract research organization. He is also a co-founder of PharmaLink (now Novella Clinical), the first electronic CRO and was President of Magguzi, COO at Fulcrum Pharma Developments and held senior management positions at Clintrials Research and AAIPharma Services Corporation.
Lisa Roberts, former VP of clinical innovations, sales and business development at Viterion Corporation, has also been named SVP of the government market division at AMC Health.
CareTech Solutions Appoints Corporate Controller
CareTech Solutions, an IT and Web products and services provider for U.S. hospitals and health systems, appoints Daniel Lincoln, as corporate controller for the company. Lincoln, a certified public accountant (CPA), joins CareTech Solutions from Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Detroit Pistons Basketball Company where he served as VP and corporate controller. Prior to joining Palace Sports, Lincoln advanced through leadership positions at a variety of insurance and financial services companies including Marsh, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and General Motors Acceptance Corporation.
