Verizon Elects MetricStream CEO to Board
Verizon Communications elected Shellye Archambeau, 49, CEO of enterprise-wide governance, risk, compliance (GRC) solutions company MetricStream, to Board. Archambeau joined MetricStream in 2002. Previously, she was CMO and EVP of sales for Loudcloud, CMO for NorthPoint Communications, president of Blockbuster's e-commerce division, and held domestic and international executive positions in a 15-year career at IBM.
Rackspace Hosting Appoints Director with Wide-Ranging Industry Insight
Rackspace Hosting, the leader in hybrid cloud, appoints Ossa Fisher to its Board of Directors. Fisher is SVP for strategy and analytics at global dating leader, Match.com, where she has built a reputation for wide-ranging industry insight, marketing analytics, and product development. Fisher has a broad range of expertise in technology and media, including more than 10 years in the Technology, Media and Telecom practices of both Bain & Company and Goldman, Sachs & Co. Fisher also worked for the World Bank Group in the IT investment division.
Fannie Mae Elects SAIC CTO as New Board Member
Fannie Mae elected Amy E. Alving, 50, to join the Board. Alving served as the CTO and a SVP at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), an engineering and technology applications company, from 2007 to 2013. Prior positions include director of the Special Projects Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, White House Fellow, and a tenured faculty member at the University of Minnesota. Alving is currently a member of the Board of Pall Corporation, Defense Science Board and the Council on Foreign Relations.
Former Facebook Exec and Three Koi Labs’ co-founder and CEO Joins Board of Restoration Hardware Holdings
Restoration Hardware Holdings names Katie Mitic to its Board of Directors. Mitic is co-founder and current CEO of Three Koi Labs, a mobile services start-up. Previously, she led platform marketing for Facebook, where she advanced the growth of ground-breaking products for the developers and businesses that engage with Facebook's community worldwide. Prior to that, Mitic served as SVP of Product Marketing at Palm, VP and General Manager at Yahoo!, and Executive in Residence at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Elevation Partners. She began her career in the M&A group at Credit Suisse First Boston, before going on to become the product leader in a number of successful start-ups including Four11 (acquired by Yahoo!) and NetDynamics (acquired by Sun Microsystems).
Hasbro CFO Joins SeaWorld Entertainment’s Board
Theme park and entertainment company SeaWorld Entertainment appointed Deborah Thomas to its Board of Directors. Thomas currently serves as the EVP and CFO for global branded play leader Hasbro. She joined Hasbro in 1998. Prior to that Thomas held assurance positions at KPMG Peat Marwick in both the U.S. and United Kingdom. Thomas is active in a variety of civic, academic and philanthropic organizations, including Providence College, the March of Dimes and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs. She serves on the boards for several local, not-for-profit groups in Rhode Island including: the Providence Ballet Theatre, the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council (RIPEC) and Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC).
Recognized Women Leader Joins Genesco Board
Specialty retailer Genesco appoints Joanna Barsh to its board of directors. Barsh became a director emeritus of McKinsey in early 2013, after more than 30 years with the firm, where she had been a senior partner since 1994. She also serves as a trustee of Sesame Workshop, chairing its personnel and compensation committee, and as a commissioner on the New York City Commission on Women's Issues. At McKinsey, she has counseled clients in the retail, consumer products, direct selling, private equity, and media sectors on strategic and operational issues, and has held leadership positions on the firm's partner personnel committees and in its Strategy and Organization practices.
