VMware Adds Retired Accenture Exec to Board

VMware named long-time Accenture executive Pamela Craig, 55, to succeed Renee James, 47, on its board. James has served on the VMware board since 2007 and has resigned to focus on her responsibilities as President of Intel. Craig brings a wealth of technology industry experience to the VMware board of directors, having worked at Accenture in various operational, finance and senior management roles for 34 years, most recently serving as chief financial officer from 2006 until her retirement in July 2013. During her long tenure at Accenture, Craig gained extensive knowledge, leadership experience and expertise with insight into how to manage a large, global and rapidly growing organization.

Savvis Appoints Canadian Country Head

Savvis, a CenturyLink company and industry leader in enterprise cloud computing, colocation, managed hosting, and professional cloud services, appoints Ash Mathur as regional VP and country manager for Savvis' Canadian operations. Most recently, Mathur served as an executive consultant and adviser, focusing on revenue growth, business planning, investment preparation and global expansion for early-stage software and IT service companies. Prior to that, he led sales, engineering and marketing as VP of sales for Cisco's Canadian operations. He has also held various global leadership roles with Microsoft.

Citrix Systems Appoints iCEO

Mark B. Templeton, 60, President and CEO of Citrix Systems, the company that provides server and desktop virtualization, networking, SaaS and cloud computing technologies, is taking a temporary leave of absence for family reasons. David J. Henshall, 45, CFO and EVP of Operations, will serve as Acting CEO. Templeton will remain on the Citrix Board of Directors.

Henshall joined Citrix in 2003 and oversees its worldwide finance and operations organizations, including accounting, strategic development, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and investor relations. He also leads the Company's IT, operations, supply chain, and real estate teams. With over 20 years of financial and operational management experience in the technology sector, Henshall has worked at several leading companies. Most recently, he served as CFO of Rational Software Corporation, a software company acquired by IBM in 2003. He previously held financial management positions at Cypress Semiconductor and Samsung Semiconductor.

Web.com Group appoints CMO as COO

Web.com Group, the domain name registration, Website design and related services company, named Jason T. Teichman, 39, EVP and CMO, as the Company's COO. Teichman was previously SVP of Marketing and Products at Register.com, a web domain company, until its acquisition by Web.com. Prior to that, he was General Manager for Online at Affinnova, a consumer analytics company.

He held several management positions at American Express, with his most recent position being VP of Marketing of the Consumer Card Group.

RingCentral Names Customer Services and Technical Support Expert for Global Customer Care Role

RingCentral, the provider of cloud computing based phone systems, designed to help small businesses manage mobile, fax, and email communications, appointed Walt Weisner as SVP of Global Customer Care. Prior to joining RingCentral, Weisner served as SVP of Global Customer Care at Good Technology, a provider for secure mobility solutions. Prior to joining Good, Weisner held executive positions as VP Global Customer Care and Operations at ServiceNow, VP Global Support Service at ShoreTel and VP Global Support Services at WebEx.

Digital River Appoints Seasoned International Payments Exec as New Board Member 

eCommerce solutions firm Digital River appoints Ed Eger, 52, to its board of directors. Most recently, Eger served as a SVP and general manager of the Americas at PayPal, and as an advisor to the CEO at eBay. In this role, he was tasked with establishing PayPal as the preferred online payment method for consumers and merchants in North and South America. Eger is a seasoned international payments executive with deep financial services, management, branding and risk management experience. Earlier, Eger was with Citigroup and last served as the CEO and business head for its International Cards business. He held positions across the globe, including Australia, Singapore and New York. Prior to that, his experience included various business management positions with Advanta, Standard Chartered Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and McKinsey.
