SAP Long-Timer to Head Financial Services Industries Business

SAP appointed Ross Wainwright as Global Head of Financial Services Industries. Previously, Wainwright served as global head of financial services, managing the professional services business. In this role he oversaw a global team of consultants and sales contributors and engaged with executives from banking and insurance companies to drive their business transformations. Prior to this, he served as COO of SAP North America. Before joining SAP in 2002, Wainwright served in a number of senior software sales management positions in Canada and across the U.S. for Parametric Technology, where he represented the company's mechanical engineering and product life-cycle management solutions for the high-tech vertical.

EMC Appoints Symantec EVP as President of Newly-Formed Emerging Technology Products Division

EMC appoints Chirantan "CJ" Desai as President of the company's newly-formed Emerging Technology Products Division. The new division will develop and launch new products and grow new businesses based on emerging technologies, with a special focus on disruptive technologies. Desai most recently served as EVP of Information Management at Symantec. In this role, he was responsible for the company's backup and recovery, storage, cluster file system, high availability and archiving products. Prior to that, he served as SVP of the company's Endpoint and Mobility Group and also led engineering for the Endpoint and Message Security Groups.

VMware Adds Retired Accenture Exec to Board

VMware named long-time Accenture executive Pamela Craig, 55, to succeed Renee James, 47, on its board. James has served on the VMware board since 2007 and has resigned to focus on her responsibilities as President of Intel. Craig brings a wealth of technology industry experience to the VMware board of directors, having worked at Accenture in various operational, finance and senior management roles for 34 years, most recently serving as chief financial officer from 2006 until her retirement in July 2013. During her long tenure at Accenture, Craig gained extensive knowledge, leadership experience and expertise with insight into how to manage a large, global and rapidly growing organization.

Salesforce Makes Board Changes; Appoints CMO and Enterprise Sales Leader

Salesforce.com named John V. Roos, former U.S. Ambassador to Japan, and Robin Washington, CFO of Gilead Sciences, to its Board of Directors. Salesforce.com also announced that Stratton Sclavos, former president and CEO of VeriSign, and Shirley Young, former corporate VP of General Motors, have departed from the company’s Board of Directors.

Roos most recently served as the U.S. ambassador to Japan, from 2009 to August 2013. Prior to his appointment as ambassador, Roos practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the Silicon Valley law firm, from 1985 to 2009, where he most recently served as CEO.

Washington is currently the SVP and CFO of Gilead Sciences, which she joined in 2008. Washington was previously CFO of Hyperion Solutions, which was acquired by Oracle in 2007. Prior to Hyperion, she served in a number of executive positions with PeopleSoft, most recently in the role of SVP and Corporate Controller. Washington is a member of the Board of Honeywell, San Jose Children's Discovery Museum and the Board of Visitors of Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.

The company has tapped Lynn Vojvodich, a former marketing exec at powerhouse venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, as its new CMO. Earlier, Vojvodich was CMO at Terracotta, a big data software company. Before that she worked at Microsoft and BEA Systems.

Salesforce.com appointed Anthony Fernicola as President, Global Enterprise Sales. Prior to joining salesforce.com, Fernicola served as SVP at Oracle, where he grew the North America Technology Organization (NATO) into one of the company's largest revenue-generating business groups. In addition he served in various other leadership roles, including SVP of Strategic Accounts, General Manager and SVP of the Financial Services Licensing and Consulting Services Business and Group VP for Oracle's Financial Services Business Unit in North America. He began his career at Unisys, where he spent 16 years in various leadership roles in sales and product management serving the financial services industry.

Symantec CFO Joins McKesson; Company Names iCFO

McKesson named James A. Beer, 50, as EVP and CFO. Beer will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions for McKesson and replaces Jeff C. Campbell, who left the company in June 2013 to become CFO of American Express. Beer comes to McKesson from Symantec where he served as EVP and CFO managing the worldwide finance organization with responsibility for accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, investor relations, corporate development, purchasing, and audit. Prior to Symantec, Beer was CFO of AMR Corporation and American Airlines. He also managed American Beacon Advisors, a subsidiary of AMR. Prior to joining AMR, Beer spent seven years as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting, now known as Accenture, in Europe and the United States.

Until a permanent replacement for Beer has been named, Andrew H. Del Matto, 54, will serve as the Symantec’s acting CFO. Del Matto has served as SVP and Chief Accounting Officer since 2012, and was Corporate Treasurer and VP of Finance Business Operations earlier. Prior to joining Symantec in 2005, Del Matto had been employed by Inktomi Corporation and SGI Corporation in a variety of finance and accounting leadership roles. He started his career with KPMG as a certified public accountant.

Autodesk Appoints Retired Apple Finance Exec to Board

Autodesk appointed Betsy Rafael to its Board of Directors. Rafael retired from Apple in 2012, where she had served as VP and Corporate Controller since 2007 and Principal Accounting Executive since 2008. Previously, Rafael held the positions of VP, Corporate Controller, Principal Accounting Officer and VP, Corporate Finance at Cisco between 2002 and 2007. Prior to this, she held management and other senior financial positions with Aspect Communications, Silicon Graphics (SGI), Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer. She began her career with Arthur Young & Company. She serves on the board of directors of Echelon, and previously served on the board of PalmSource.

Verint Systems EMEA Head Leaves

David Parcell will no longer serve as the Managing Director, EMEA and Corporate Officer of Verint Systems, the company providing analytic software for the security, surveillance, and business intelligence markets. Prior to joining Verint, Parcell served as Managing Director, EMEA and Corporate Officer for Aspect Software. Before then, Parcell held the positions of Managing Director of Co-Cam and General Manager at Datapoint, along with senior sales positions with Unisys and Olivetti.

Blackbaud SVP, Products and Marketing Resigns

Jana B. Eggers, 43, will leave her position as SVP, Products and Marketing, of Blackbaud. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Eggers served as CEO of Germany-based Spreadshirt from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, Eggers served as Director for Intuit from 2002 to 2006, where she founded and led the company's corporate Innovation Lab, which researched and designed new offerings. From 2003 to 2006, Eggers also served as General Manager for Intuit's QuickBase business, serving the Fortune 100, where it became Intuit's fastest-growing business unit. Eggers has also held executive and technology leadership positions at internationalization firm Basis Technology, American Airline's Sabre, Los Alamos National Laboratory and several acquired start-ups.

Dealertrack Technologies Appoints Leader for Canadian Operations

Dealertrack Technologies, the provider of on-demand software for the auto industry, named Michael McCarthy as VP and General Manager, Dealertrack Canada. McCarthy joins Dealertrack from Davis & Henderson (D&H), where he was VP for Lending Services and, most recently, Product Commercialization. Prior to D&H, he held senior management positions with Scotiabank, including COO for their automotive leasing and fleet management subsidiary and VP of Strategy for Scotia's Global Transaction Banking Group.

Advent Software Makes Board Changes

Advent Software, the company that makes software designed to automate portfolio accounting for investment management firms, named Stephanie G. DiMarco as Chair of its Board of Directors, replacing John H. Scully, who resigned from the board. DiMarco founded Advent in 1983 and was CEO from 2003 to 2012. She served as Chair of the Board from 1995 until 2003, and as a member of the Board thereafter. Wendell G. Van Auken has been named Lead Independent Director. A director since September 1995, Van Auken is currently a Partner Emeritus at Mayfield Fund.

Former President of Motorola Mobility Joins TiVo Board

TiVo, the developer and provider of software and technology that enables the search, navigation, and access of content across sources, including linear television, on-demand television, and broadband video, appointed Daniel M. Moloney, 52, to its Board of Directors. Moloney is the former President of Motorola Mobility. Prior to Motorola Mobility being spun out of Motorola in early 2011, he served as the President of the Home & Networks Mobility business within Motorola and led the expansion of this business into a worldwide leader in both video and broadband wireless solutions. He also led the Connected Home business for Motorola. He joined Motorola as part of their acquisition of General Instrument in 2000, where he served in various leadership roles around the forefront of key technological breakthroughs including digital TV and HDTV, VoIP, and internet/video applications over cable.

Pegasystems Appoints Salesforce Finance Exec as CFO

Business process management (BPM) and customer relationship management solutions company, Pegasystems, appointed Rafeal E. Brown, 45, to the positions of CFO, Chief Administrative Officer, and SVP. Brown is a finance veteran with over 20-years experience. He was previously a SVP in the finance group at Salesforce.com, a leading provider of cloud computing software applications. Prior to Salesforce, he worked at Cisco, and had begun his career with Arthur Andersen in 1991.

Demandware Expands Board with Recognized Retail Industry Leader and Academician

Demandware, the provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, named Dr. Leonard A. Schlesinger, 58, to its board of directors. As the former Vice Chairman and COO of Limited Brands, Dr. Schlesinger adds both retail industry and operational experience to the board. Dr. Schlesinger currently serves as Baker Foundation Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. Dr. Schlesinger recently concluded a five year term (2008 to 2013) as the 12th President of Babson College. Dr. Schlesinger has also served as EVP and COO at Au Bon Pain and as a director of numerous, public and private retail, consumer products and technology companies. His career spans various leadership roles at esteemed academic institutions, including twenty years at Harvard Business School where he served as the George Fisher Baker Jr. Professor of Business Administration, leading MBA and executive education programs.

Comverse Names Telecom Industry Expert as Director

Comverse, the provider of software and systems enabling value-added services for voice, messaging, mobile Internet and mobile advertising, appoints Neil Montefiore to Board. He served as CEO and director of StarHub from 2010 until his retirement in 2013. From 1996 to 2009, he served as CEO of MobileOne, where he also served as a director from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that, Montefiore served in various executive roles at Hongkong Telecom CSL, Chevalier (Telepoint), and the Cable and Wireless Group.

PROS Holdings Apoints EMEA Regional Leader

PROS Holdings, the provider of big data software applications, named Eric Allen as PROS General Manager for EMEA. Allen joins PROS following an eight-year career with Emptoris, where he served as SVP and general manager. He built its operation from a U.K. start-up to a multi-national business with operations across EMEA, and grew sales that accounted for more than one-third of the company's total revenue. Allen remained with Emptoris through its acquisition by IBM. He also worked for eight years in increasingly responsible roles with Amdocs Management, his last position being that of VP of sales across EMEA for Amdocs product offerings, including CRM, and other business and operating system solutions.

LogMeIn CMO resigns

Michael Ewing has resigned as chief marketing officer of LogMeIn, the provider of SaaS-based remote connectivity, collaboration, and support solutions to businesses and consumers. Ewing had joined the remote access software firm in March 2012 from Vistaprint, whose U.S. operations are based in Lexington, Mass. He had served as SVP and managing director of the Asia Pacific business at Vistaprint.
