Former Drugstore.com Chair/CEO is New Board Member of Retailer TJX

The TJX Companies, the off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions, elected Dawn Lepore, former CEO and chairman of Drugstore.com, to the board of directors. Lepore most recently served as interim CEO at Prosper Marketplace, and previously held a number of leadership positions at Charles Schwab, including CIO. Lepore has deep experience in the digital and retail industries and relationships in both Silicon Valley and the Seattle technology communities. This experience, including her principal executive role at drugstore.com, and her extensive expertise managing complex global information technology systems, aligns with the Company's strategy to grow its digital businesses.

Retired Verizon EVP Joins The Hartford's Board

Virginia P. Ruesterholz, 52, has been elected to the insurance and financial services company, The Hartford's board of directors. Ruesterholz, who retired in 2012, most recently served as EVP of Verizon Communications, responsible for overseeing key strategic initiatives. She previously served as president of Verizon Services Operations. Her experience includes key business unit leadership roles that drove the company's network, technology and growth strategies. Ruesterholz was recently named chairman of the board of trustees of the Stevens Institute of Technology, and is the first female to hold this position. She is also a former member of the board of directors of the Manhattan Theater Club.

Hertz's Board Welcomes Facebook Marketing Exec as Director

Hertz named Carolyn Everson, 39, to its Board of Directors. Carolyn Everson serves as VP of Global Marketing Solutions for Facebook, where she manages the global marketing solutions team focused on expanding advertising revenue and managing significant, strategic accounts.  Before Facebook, she served as Corporate VP of Global Ad Sales and Strategy of Microsoft.  Previous to that, she held various advertising management positions at MTV Networks Company, including serving as EVP and COO of Ad Sales. Prior to MTV, she served in roles of increasing responsibility with respect to business development and advertising at Primedia, Zagat Surveys and Walt Disney Imagineering.

D&B Appoints Former IT Services Leader of Bain and Capgemini to Board

D&B named Thomas J. Manning was appointed to D&B's Board of Director. Manning is the former CEO of Cerberus Asia Operations & Advisory Limited, a subsidiary of Cerberus Capital Management, a global private equity firm. He has over thirty years of experience in consulting and technology services with a large portion of his career spent living in Hong Kong and working in China/Asia. Formerly, he was Global Managing Director, Strategy & Technology Business at Capgemini, Co-leader global information technology services business at Bain, CEO of Buddy Systems. Currently, he is on the faculty of the University of Chicago Law School, where he teaches courses on corporate governance in China, private equity in Asia, and The US-China Treaty Project. Mr. Manning served on ten boards in China and India during the past decade and today serves as an independent director of AsiaInfo-Linkage Holdings, China’s leading telecom software company; iSoftStone, China’s leading IT services firm; Clear Media Limited, China's largest outdoor media company; and, Saybot, a pioneer in educational games.

HP CFO Joins SunPower Board

SunPower, the solar products company, appointed Catherine A. (Cathie) Lesjak, a 27-year veteran of HP, as a new independent member of the SunPower's board of directorsLesjak currently serves as EVP and CFO at HP, a position she has held since early 2007. Before being named CFO, she was SVP and treasurer, responsible for managing the company's worldwide cash, debt, foreign exchange, capital structure, risk management and benefits plan administration. Also at HP, she managed financial operations for the Software Global Business Unit, was group controller for its Software Solutions Organization, managed global channel credit risk and was the credit manager for the Commercial Customer Organization.

Amyris Names Intuit CFO as Director

Amyris, an integrated renewable products company providing sustainable alternatives to a broad range of petroleum-sourced products, appointed R. Neil Williams, 58, CFO of Intuit, as a member of Amyris's Board of Directors. Williams has a thirty-year career in the financial services industry. At Intuit, he has been responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including corporate strategy and business development, investor relations, financial operations and real estate. Before joining Intuit, Williams was the EVP and CFO for Visa U.S.A. In that role, he led all financial functions for the company and its subsidiaries, including financial planning, business planning and financial monitoring. His previous banking experience includes senior financial positions at commercial banks in the Southern and Midwest regions of the United States.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
