Former MIT Exec Joins as Board Member of AIG

American International Group (AIG) nominated Theresa M. Stone, 68, former EVP and Treasurer of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, to board. In her role as EVP and Treasurer, she is responsible for M.I.T.’s capital programs, facilities, HR and IT, and served as M.I.T.’s CFO and Treasurer. Prior to that, she served as EVP and CFO of Jefferson-Pilot Financial (now Lincoln Financial Group).

Medtronic Elects Former GE Healthcare Tech Exec to Board

Medtronic elected Scott C. Donnelly, 50, as an independent director. Donnelly has been president and CEO of Textron since 2009 and chairman of the Board of Directors since 2010, having previously served there since 2008 as EVP and COO. Prior to joining Textron, he held several roles at GE, including president and CEO of GE Aviation, SVP and director of GE Global Research and VP of technology for GE Healthcare.

SunGard’s CEO Joins Best Buy Board

Best Buy elected Russell Fradin, 54, CEO of SunGard, to the board of directors. Before joining SunGard, Fradin was chairman and CEO of Aon Hewitt. Prior to that, he served as President and CEO of The BISYS Group, and served Automatic Data Processing, most recently as Group President, Global Employer Services. Prior to joining ADP, he was a senior partner at McKinsey.

DreamWorks Animation Nominates Former Hulu CEO as Director

DreamWorks nominated Jason Kilar, 42, founding CEO of Hulu, as new Director. Kilar is a pioneer in the field of digital content. Prior to building Hulu, Kilar served in key leadership positions with Amazon.com, including SVP of Worldwide Application Software and VP and general manager of Amazon.com's domestic books, music and video businesses.

Sporting Goods Retailer Appoints Former CSC Chair/CEO as Board Member

Big 5 Sporting Goods, a leading sporting goods retailer, has appointed Van Honeycutt, 66, to serve on its board of directors. Honeycutt is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a leading global provider of technology-enabled business solutions and services. He joined CSC in 1975, serving in a variety of managerial and executive positions, including VP and General Manager of CSC's Business Services Division, President of CSC Credit Services, Corporate VP and President of CSC's Industry Services Group, and President and COO of CSC. He was named CEO in 1995 and Chairman in 1997, and served in those positions until his retirement in 2007. He was appointed by the President of the United States to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee in 1995 and served on the committee for ten years and as chairman for two years.

She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
