Nokia Board to Go Through More Changes
Nokia has elected Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Doherty, 54, currently CFO of Reckitt Benckiser, to its Board. Prior, she has served as Group CFO at Brambles, Group International Finance Director at Tesco, SVP Finance CE&E at Unilever, Commercial (Finance) Director at Unilever Thailand, Commercial Director - Frudesa (Spain) at Unilever, Commercial Director - Frigo (Spain) at Unilever, Supply Chain Mgr - Mattesson Walls at Unilever, and Auditor at Unilever.
Dame Marjorie Scardino, 66, and Isabel Marey-Semper, 45, have informed that they will no longer be available for re-election to the Nokia Board of Directors. Dame Marjorie Scardino has been a Nokia Board member since 2001 and Isabel Marey-Semper since 2009. Dame Scardino is CEO of Pearson. Earlier in her career, she was CEO and President of the North American Operations of The Economist Group; and Lawyer and Publisher of The Georgia Gazette newspaper.
Isabel Marey-Semper has served as the CFO of PSA Peugeot Citroen. Previously, she served as its Head of Strategy Department and VP of Finance. She was COO of Intellectual Property and Licensing BU of Thomson, VP of Corporate Planning at Saint-Gobain, Director of Corporate Planning, High Performance Materials at Saint-Gobain, Principal at A.T. Kearney (Telesis, prior to acquisition by A.T. Kearney).
F5 Networks Appoints Industry Vet to Board
F5 Networks named Sandra Bergeron, 54, to its board of directors. Ms. Bergeron is an experienced technology industry executive with a national reputation as an expert on computer security matters. Mr. Smith is CEO, President, and member of the board of Equinix, the global interconnection and data center company. From 2004 until 2012, Bergeron was a venture partner at Trident Capital. She currently serves on the board of Qualys, Sophos, and TraceSecurity - where she also serves as chairman. Bergeron previously served on the board of TriCipher, a secure access management company acquired by VMware in 2010 and ArcSight, a security and compliance management company acquired by HP in 2010. During her tenure at McAfee, Bergeron held a wide range of executive leadership positions in sales, R&D, and corporate development.
On December 19, 2012, Susan V. B. O'Shea notified Suffolk Bancorp and its Board of Directors of her decision to not stand for re-election to the Board of the Company at the 2013 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Ms. O'Shea is retiring after 12 years of service on the Board of the Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, The Suffolk County National Bank . Ms. O'Shea will continue to serve as a director of the Company and the Bank until the Company's 2013 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
On December 20, 2012, Director Joanne Kay notified the Boards of Directors of Cape Bancorp, Inc. , and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cape Bank, that she was that she was retiring, effective immediately, from each Board. In connection with this retirement, the Board of Directors of the Company has determined to reduce the size of the Board to ten members.
American Express EVP Joins Tumi Board of Directors
Tumi Holdings, the global brand of premium travel, business and lifestyle products and accessories, appointed Claire Bennett to its Board of Directors. Claire is EVP, Loyalty and Membership Benefits at American Express. Before her current role, she served as SVP and General Manager at American Express, Director, Marketing at Dell, and Director at Quaker Oats Company/PepsiCo.
