Compuware’s Chairman Changes
Peter Karmanos, Jr., 69, the Executive Chariman of Compuware will retire from the Company's Board after forty years of service as an executive of the Company. The company appointed Gurminder Bedi, 64, currently the Company's lead independent director, to succeed Mr. Karmanos as the non-executive Chairman upon Mr. Karmanos' retirement. Mr. Bedi has served on the Board of Directors since 2002.
OpenTable adds Glassdoor CEO to board
OpenTable, the online restaurant reservation network, elected Robert Hohman to serve as a director of the Company. He is a co-founder of Glassdoor, an online provider of job and career information, and has served as its CEO since 2007. President of the Ford Foundation Joins Online Deals Company’s Board
Valassis named Luis A. Ubinas, 48, president of the Ford Foundation, to board. With a distinguished record of leadership in both the profit and nonprofit sectors, Ubinas brings a strong background in media including digital and emerging technologies. In his role at the Ford Foundation, the second largest philanthropic foundation in the United States, he helped to more clearly define the foundation's objectives and streamline its global operations. Prior to joining the Ford Foundation, Ubinas was a director at McKinsey, leading the firm's media practice on the West Coast. Ubinas serves on several nonprofit, government and corporate boards and advisory committees, including the High Level Task Force for the International Conference on Population and Development, the Advisory Committee for the U.S.-China 100,000 Strong Initiative and the boards of the New York Public Library and the Collegiate School for Boys. Former Fox Interactive Exec Joins Keynote Systems’ Board
Keynote Systems, the provider of Internet and mobile cloud monitoring and testing solutions, appointed Mark Jung to its board. Currently an operating partner at Khosla Ventures, Mark brings over 20 years of successful Internet and mobile CEO and entrepreneur experience to Keynote. Prior to Khosla Ventures, he served as COO of Fox Interactive Media where he was responsible for its Internet business, including MySpace, IGN Entertainment, AmericanIdol.com and FoxSports.com. He took the post at Fox Interactive Media after its parent company, Newscorp, purchased IGN Entertainment, a company he founded and took public at the height of the Internet boom in the 1990s. Earlier in his career, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey. He currently serves as a member of the board of DataXu, Inmar, Ness Computing, SeatMe, and WGT Media.
Cloud Host Cbeyond Names Industry Veterans to Board
Cloud hosting provider Cbeyond has named Jonathan Crane and Marvin Wheeler to its board of directors. Crane has more than 35 years of industry experience with a focus in cloud computing, having been the chief commercial officer at IPsoft, where he oversaw growth strategies for the company. Before joining IPsoft, Crane served as president and chairman of the board at Savvis, where he was responsible for leading the company’s cloud business. Prior to Savvis, he was chief strategy officer at Worldcom.
For the past 25 years, Wheeler has worked in the industry with a focus on cloud hosting, data center operations, IT efficiency and IP services deployment. He most recently served as COO and chief strategy officer of Terremark. He has also served on the Intel Capital Advisory Board and the Microsoft Service Provider Advisory Board. Wheeler was the founding member, secretary, executive director and chairman of the board of the Open Data Center Alliance, a non-profit group that promotes the growth of cloud computing through open, interoperable standards.
Inphi Corporation Names New Board Members
Inphi Corporation named Bruce McWilliams to its Board of Directors. Bruce McWilliams is President and CEO of SuVolta. Prior to joining SuVolta, he was President and CEO of Tessera Technologies, which he took public through a highly successful IPO. Mr. McWilliams also served as President and CEO of S-Vision, a liquid crystal-on-silicon based display technology company, SVP of Flextronics International, and President and CEO of nCHIP, a multichip module packaging company that was acquired by Flextronics.
David Liddle has also joined the Inphi Board. David Liddle joined U.S. Venture Partners in 2000, after retiring as president and CEO of Interval Research Corporation. Prior to co-founding Interval, Mr. Liddle founded and served as CEO of Metaphor, which was acquired in 1991 by IBM, where he became VP of Business development for IBM Personal Systems. Mr. Liddle's extensive experience in research and development includes 10 years at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and as head of the System Development Division (SDD).
Imation Goes Through Board Changes
Storage and data security company, Imation, appointed Theodore Bunting, Jr, 53, and William LaPerch, 56, to board. Bunting is currently Group President, Utility Operations, for Entergy Corporation, an integrated energy company engaged in electric power production and retail distribution operations. Bunting has previously held numerous executive positions within Entergy Corporation and its subsidiaries, including SVP and chief accounting officer. He is also a certified public accountant.
LaPerch was CEO, President and Director of AboveNet, a leading provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions for business and carriers. Prior to AboveNet, LaPerch held executive management positions at MCI telecommunications, a global business and residential communications company, and at NYNEX, a regional telephone holding company.
Glen A. Taylor, 71, resigned from Imation's Board of Directors. Taylor, chairman of Taylor Corporation and owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) and Minnesota Lynx (WNBA), had been a director of Imation since 2000.
BillMyParents Names Finance Business Leader to Board
BillMyParents, the online retail payment platform, named Brian Thompson to its Board of Directors. He is currently SVP of Equity Dynamics, a financial consulting entity established by renowned business leader and philanthropist John Pappajohn. Prior, he served as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer for Kum & Go, one of the largest convenience store chains in the U.S. He has served as President and CFO of Astracon, a provider of connectivity intelligence software to communications service companies. Former NetApp Chief Strategy Officer Joins Overland Storage’s Board
Unified data management and data protection solutions company, Overland Storage, has appointed Vic Mahadevan to its Board of Directors. Mr. Mahadevan was previously Chief Strategy Officer at NetApp, and has over 25 years of senior level strategic planning and marketing experience. He assumes the Board seat vacated by the resignation of Shmuel Shottan. Lantronix Appoints Industry Veteran and Company CEO to Board
Lantronix, the device networking and remote access products company, appointed technology industry veteran Bruce Edwards, 59, and company President and CEO Kurt Busch, 42, to the company's board of directors. Edwards served Powerwave Technologies, a designer, manufacturer and supplier of advance coverage and capacity solutions for the wireless communications industry, as Executive Chairman, CEO, president and a director. Prior to Powerwave, he was EVP, CFO and director of AST Research, a personal computer company. Edwards succeeds former independent director John Rehfeld who retired from the board. Kurt Busch has served as Lantronix president and CEO since 2011. Prior to joining Lantronix, he served in senior leadership positions at Mindspeed Technologies, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure solutions. Prior to Mindspeed, Busch's experience included business development roles at Analog Devices, as well as roles in engineering, sales, marketing and general management at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Intel, and two Silicon Valley start-ups.

Business Software Firm Sees Board Changes
Pacific WebWorks’ longtime Chairman and CEO, Kenneth W. Bell, 62, will be retiring. Mr. Bell has served as the CEO of Pacific WebWorks since joining the Company in 2001 and later added the role of Chairman. Company President K. Lance Bell, 32, has been appointed as the new Chairman and CEO. Lance has served as President of Pacific WebWorks since 2011 and has 13 years previous experience in the software business, most recently with CedarCrestone, an international software consulting firm.
Christian R. Larsen, 37, resigns as a director of the Company. He had resigned as the President and Secretary of the company in 2011, and is the former CEO and COO of the company. Wayfair Appoints Its First Female Board Member
Wayfair.com, an online retailer of home furnishings, has appointed Julie M.B. Bradley to the company’s board. Bradley, who is SVP and CFO of TripAdvisor, is Wayfair’s first female director. Prior to TripAdvisor, she worked at Art Technology Group, which was acquired by Oracle in 2010.
BSQUARE Appoints Strategic Development Expert to Board
BSQUARE, the provider of software solutions and related engineering services to companies that develop smart, connected devices, appointed Andrew Harries, 44, to the Company's Board of Directors. He currently runs his own advisory and consulting practice. He is a co-founder of Sierra Wireless and served as Sierra's SVP of Sales, Marketing and Operations. Panzura Expands Board With Industry Veteran
Marcel Gani joins the cloud storage solutions company Panzura’s Board of Directors following leadership positions at Juniper Networks and NVIDIA. Gani currently consults with several venture funds to advise early stage high tech companies. Prior to this, Gani held the position of Chief of Staff of Juniper Networks, which he joined as the company's CFO from 1997-2004. He was also responsible for Information Systems and Human Resources. Former Allina CEO named Scottsdale Institute chairman
