ConocoPhillips Names Public Policy Advisor to Board
ConocoPhillips has elected Ms. Jody Freeman, 48, as a new outside director. Professor Freeman is the Archibald Cox Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. She joined the Harvard Law faculty in 2005 and was previously professor of Law at UCLA School of Law. She served as Counselor for Energy and Climate Change in the White House in 2009-2010, contributing to a variety of policy initiatives, including greenhouse gas regulation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, transmission policy, oil and gas drilling, and comprehensive energy and climate legislation. She was appointed in 2010 to the Administrative Conference of the United States, the government think tank for improving the administrative and regulatory process.
BlackRock Names Former World Bank Exec to Board
BlackRock appointed Jessica Einhorn, 64, to its Board of Directors. Jessica is the former Dean of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at The Johns Hopkins University. She spent nearly twenty years at the World Bank, concluding as Managing Director in 1998. She was a Visiting Fellow at the International Monetary Fund. Prior to becoming Dean, she was a consultant at Clark & Weinstock, a strategic consulting firm. Prior to joining the World Bank in 1978 she held positions at the U.S. Treasury, the U.S. State Department and the International Development Cooperation Agency of the United States.
Reliance Steel & Aluminum names Former E&Y Veteran to Board
Reliance Steel & Aluminum appointed Sarah J. Anderson, 62, to its Board of Directors. Ms. Anderson has over 35 years of experience in accounting and financial advisory services. She retired from Ernst & Young in 2008 after more than 24 years with the firm. Ms. Anderson also serves on the boards of American States Water Company, a water utility that provides clean and waste water to military bases, and Kaiser Ventures, which owns real estate assets of Kaiser Aluminum.

Ms. Howard is a certified public accountant in the United States and has over a decade of experience with KPMG and Ernst and Young.

She is the managing partner and founder of Henderson Advisory, a consulting practice providing marketing perspective and business evaluation to investment management firms on the consumer products and food industries. She previously was a Corporate VP of Bestfoods and President of Bestfoods Grocery. During her 30-year career with Bestfoods, and its predecessor company CPC International, she held a wide variety of international and North American general management and executive marketing positions. Informatica, the enterprise data integration and data quality software company, appointed Amy Chang to its Board of Directors. Ms. Chang has been the global head of product, ads measurement and reporting for Google since 2010. Star Tech Analyst Joins DocuSign’s Board
DocuSign, the eSignature transaction management company, appointed Mary Meeker, 53, to its Board of Directors. Mary is a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Mary had previously been a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. Over the years, Morgan Stanley published similar landmark reports led by Meeker on online advertising, e-commerce, evolution of search, the Internet in China, and the mobile Internet. In 2004, Morgan Stanley (with Meeker as research analyst) served as lead manager for the IPO of Google.
