McKesson's President of Specialty Health Resigns from Other Role as EVP, Corp Strategy & BD Resigns
Marc E. Owen, 51, resigned as EVP, Corporate Strategy & BD of McKesson. He will continue to serve as President of McKesson Specialty Health. Prior to McKesson, he was a Senior Partner at McKinsey and CEO at MindCrossing, a knowledge commerce company.
Board Changes at AllScripts; Company Appoints iCFO
AllScripts, a provider of electronic health record solutions, elected Dennis Chookaszian, 67, as Chairman after Phil Pead was dismissed from the position. Chookaszian joined the board in 2010. He currently serves as a Director of CME Group, LoopNet, Insweb, and Career Education Corporation. Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of mPower, Chairman and CEO of CNA Insurance, and as Chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC).
Philips Healthcare Sees Divisional CEO Change
Deborah DiSanzo, 52, will succeed Steve Rusckowski as CEO, Philips Healthcare unit. She joined Philips in 2001 when Philips acquired Agilent’s Healthcare Solutions group. During her time at Philips, she served as the CEO of Patient Care and Clinical Informatics, CEO of Healthcare Informatics and Patient Monitoring, and GM of Patient Monitoring.
Stephen Rusckowski, 53, left Philips to become the President and CEO of Quest Diagnostics. He became CEO of Philips Healthcare in 2006. Before joining Philips, Rusckowski held numerous management positions with the healthcare division of Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies. He was the GM of Agilent’s Healthcare Solutions Group when Philips acquired it in 2001.
Hill-Rom North America Leadership Changes
Medical device manufacturer Hill-Rom announced that Martha Aronson, 43, resigned as President of North America and SVP. Before joining Hill-Rom in 2010, she was the Chief Talent Officer and SVP at Medtronic. Before that, she served as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company.
Alton Shader, 38, head of the Post-Acute Care business unit, has succeeded Aronson as President of North America and SVP. Previously, he was GM of Baxter International's U.S. Renal business, Manager for Baxter Ireland and held senior marketing positions in Baxter's operations in Zurich and in California. He also has held positions of increasing leadership responsibility at several other organizations, including Bain & Company.
Clinical Data Software Company M*Modal Appoints CIO and Chief Legal Officer
Clinical data software company M*Modal appointed Chuck Musciano as CIO. He replaces Kevin Piltz, who resigned. Musciano previously served as CIO of Martin Marietta Materials and American Kennel Club.
Kathryn Twiddy joined M*Modal as Chief Legal Officer. Previously, she served as General Counsel at Quintiles Transnational and Misys Healthcare. Before Misys Healthcare, she was a Partner at Kilpatrick Stockton and as a Staff Attorney at IBM.
Omnicell Director Resigns
William H. Younger Jr., 60, resigned from the board at Omnicell, a provider of automated solutions to hospitals. He has been a director since 1992. Since 1981, Younger has been Managing Director of Sutter Hill Ventures, a VC firm. He is also a director of Cardica and several privately held companies.
eHealth Board Member Resigns
Internet-based health insurance service company eHealth announced that Steven M. Cakebread, 59, resigned from the board. He has been a director since 2006. Currently, he is the CFO of Pandora Media. Previously, he served in financial positions at Xactly, salesforce.com, Autodesk, and Silicon Graphics. He serves on the board of directors at SolarWinds and ServiceSource.
CardioNet Appoints PWC Veteran as Director
Digital health monitoring and software company CardioNet appointed Anthony J. Conti, 62, as a new Director. He is a 37 years veteran of PWC serving a wide range of industrial, technology, utility and health services clients. Conti serves on the board of Ametek and as Chairman Emeritus of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia.
Patient Portal Names New President and CEO
Patient Portal, a healthcare communications portal, appointed John O'Mara as President. He is the former Chairman of the New York State Public Service Commission.
Brian Kelly has been selected as the new CEO. Kelly is the former President of Worldnet Communications.
ExperiaHealth Welcomes Forrester Healthcare Analyst and Accretive Health Exec
Elizabeth Boehm joined the patient experience improvement company ExperiaHealth as Director of Patient Experience Collaborative. She joins from Forrester Research where she served as a principal analyst for the healthcare and life sciences practice, which she had co-founded.
Christine Benedetti Henningsgaard joined ExperiaHealth as National Practice Leader. Previously, she was VP at Accretive Health.
