Major Executive Shuffle at AOL

Jeff Levick, 40, has announced his retirement from AOL after a two year stint as the company’s President of Global Advertising & Strategy. Prior to AOL, Levick spent six years at Google where he last served as VP of Industry Development and Marketing for the Americas.

The company also reported the departures of the Head of PR, Lauren Hurvitz, and the Head of HR & CPO, Kathy Andreasen, 45.

Additionally, AOL announced that sales executives Tim Castelli, Wendy MacGregor, Tim Richards, and Jim Norton have been named SVPs. Michael O'Connor, the Director of Global Business Operations, will assume the title of Head of Sales Operations.

Friend Finder Firms Up Exec Team

Brian Prenoveau has joined the company as Director of Investor Relations. Before joining FriendFinder, Prenoveau served as SVP at Integrated Corporate Relations, a financial communications consulting firm. Earlier in his career, he worked as an equity research analyst at Piper Jaffray, UBS, and the Ramsey Group. His clients have included high profile companies such as Visa, Jamba Juice, and OSI Restaurant Partners.

Duane Dahl is joining the company as GM of the General Audience Dating Websites, a division which includes Amigos.com, AsiaFriendFinder.com, BigChurch.com, and SeniorFriendFinder.com. Dahl was previously the founder of PerfectMatch.com, a company which was acquired by FriendFinder.

New Board Member & Two Presidents at EarthLink

EarthLink appointed Garry McGuire, 64, as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee. McGuire has previously served as SVP of Corporate Development and CFO at Avaya. Prior to Avaya, he was President and CEO of Williams Communications Solutions and President of NORTEL Communications Systems. McGuire has been a member of the Board of Directors of Telecordia Technologies since 2006 and is currently the Chairman of the Board.

Mae Squier-Dow has joined EarthLink as President of Premier Business Solutions. In this position, she will oversee the EarthLink Business mid-market sales and account management teams. Before joining EarthLink, Squier-Dow served as SVP of Business Development at Current Group and COO & SVP of Sales and Service at Choice One Communications.

Vikram Desai, 46, has been selected by the company to be the new President of National Accounts. Prior to EarthLink, Desai served as President & CEO at Liquid Computing, Viziant Corporation, and Kavado.

CFO Leaves InfoSpace

CFO David Binder, 41, has resigned from the company. Binder has accepted a position as CFO of Blue Nile, an online retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry. Before joining InfoSpace as Corporate Controller, he worked at Deloitte & Touche as an Auditor. Eric Emans, who is currently InfoSpace's CAO, will serve as interim CFO until a permanent successor is selected.

Appointments at Canadian Online Service Provider

PEER 1 Hosting announced the appointment of Steve Patti as Chief Marketing Officer, a new role in the company. Prior to joining the company, Patti served as the VP of Marketing and BD at Generations Federal Credit Union. He also founded Polarity, a global technology marketing firm, and held leadership roles at companies including Kao Infosystems and Compaq.

Jay Newman has been promoted to SVP of Sales. Newman joined PEER 1 in 2010 as its VP of Sales.

Jad Jebara is promoted to SVP of Finance and Administration. He previously served as the company's VP of Finance and IT.

Brenton Brown is the new VP of Finance. He previously served as the Director of Corporate Finance.

Local.com Management Team Continues to Change as SVP of Sales is Named

Local.com, a leading online local media company, has named Tullio Siragusa as the new SVP of Sales. The company has had multiple new additions in June, including a new VP of Finance and VP of Product Development. Prior to joining Local.com, Siragusa was the Head of Sales for Ansearch, an online search and media solutions company. Before Ansearch, he was SVP of Global Sales and Account Management for Operative Media, a leading advertising and media management company, and VP of Strategic Accounts for Acxiom, a leading provider of marketing data services and technology. Siragusa also held key management positions at CSC, PWC, MCI, and M3 Mobile.

New SVP of Technology at Internet Security Software Company

CyberDefender announced that Kamran Izadpanah has joined the company's management team as the new SVP of Technology. Most recently, Izadpanah served as the VP of Software Development at ReachLocal. Before joining ReachLocal, Izadpanah was VP of Technology and Architecture at the Los Angeles Times, Interactive Division. He also served as the Executive Director of Software Development at Edmunds.com and as VP of Engineering and Product Development at J2 Global Communications.

Communication Software Company Taps Online Veteran

IncrediMail, an Israeli-based email provider, announced that Rajiv Jain has joined the company as CTO & Chief Innovation Officer. Jain was most recently CTO and CIO at Corbis, a digital image licensing firm owned by Bill Gates. Prior to Corbis, he was CTO at American Greetings Interactive for almost four years. Before joining American Greetings, Jain held senior executive management positions at AT&T Wireless, Portal Software (now Oracle), IBM, Taligent, and Autodesk.

Dora Vell
