  • UrtheCast, BC, Canada - UrtheCast appointed Donald F. Osborne as CEO. Most recently, from 2009 to 2017 he was a senior executive at MDA, a Maxar Company, including as President of the MDA Information Systems Group where he was responsible for MDA's Canadian businesses. The Company provides information-rich products and services to geospatial and geoanalytics markets.
  • Romet Ltd., Ontario, Canada - Romet Ltd. announced that Brent Collver P.Eng. as CEO. He most recently served as President of privately held Comtek Advanced Structures in Burlington, Ontario, where he reshaped the aerospace solutions company for profitable growth. The Company designs and manufactures industrial/commercial positive displacement rotary gas meters, electronic volume instruments, and auxiliary equipment for the gas industry.
  • Cryptobloc Technologies Corp., BC, Canada - Cryptobloc Technologies appointed Robert Abenante as CEO and a director of the Company. Mr. Abenante is an entrepreneur and investor in various industries with a focus on green energy, technology, agriculture, health sciences and commodities. Most recently, President & CEO of Marifil Mines. The Company operates as blockchain primary company.   • Glenbriar Technologies, Alberta, Canada - Glenbriar Technologies announced appointment of Mr. Doug Taylor to the position of Chairman, President and CEO. Mr. Taylor is a current Director of the company.  The Company provides cloud-enabled business technology solutions in Canada.
  • eXeBlock Technology Corp., BC, Canada - eXeBlock Technology Corp. appointed Mr. Jamie Davison as the new President and CEO of the Company. Most recently, Mr. Davison served as VP, Innovation and Renewal at the Atlantic Lottery Corp.. The Company develops blockchain based software solutions to businesses and markets worldwide. It is involved in developing and marketing decentralized applications, which allow charities to undertake fundraising activities, as well as for blockchain software allowing users to convert traditional currencies for cryptocurrency to use in applications.
  • Rift Valley Resources Corp., BC, Canada - Rift Valley Resources Corp. added Mr. Griffin Jones to the board of directors who has also accepted the position of company CEO. He has been a founder and director of several public and private companies, including RuraLink Wireless Ltd.  The Company does not have significant operations. It focuses on acquiring Metrolink Solutions Inc. to manufacture, market, sell, and distribute QwikCom mobile communication units in the United States.
  • AXS Blockchain Solutions, BC, Canada - AXS Blockchain (aka. Canadian Data Preserve) announced completion of its acquisition of digital currency assets from Blockcorp Sociedad Anonima. Mohammad Ahmad has been appointed as President and CEO of the blockchain consulting and development services Company in Canada.
  • Titus International, Ontario, Canada - Titus International announced that Jim Barkdoll has been promoted to the role of CEO. Jim most recently served as TITUS' Chief Revenue Officer. Titus Int’l  is an IT consulting and training services company, provides services and solutions in the areas of security, information protection, policy management, and secure directory infrastructure.

Dora Vell

Dora Vell is the Managing Partner of Vell Executive Search, a boutique executive search firm in Boston focused on recruiting technology executives and board members. Vell has successfully completed numerous board member and C-level executive searches, including CEOs, COOs, CIOs, and Vice Presidents - at both public and private companies.

Prior to founding the firm in 2005, Vell was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles' Technology practice for seven years.  Before her career in executive search, she worked at IBM for 11 years, managing software engineering organizations of 100 people and software sales organizations with revenues of $150 million. She has also served as an executive assistant to the CEO of IBM Canada for one year.

Vell holds seven worldwide software patents. She has published several Business of Leadership reports on governance and leadership and has been quoted in numerous articles including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, Fortune, Agenda Week, MSNBC, Mass High Tech, the OPUS for the World Economic Forum, Boston Business Journal, The Globe & Mail, CIO Magazine, and IEEE. She has received an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Carleton. She has also completed the MIT Entrepreneurial Master’s program.
